For product sales under a dual channel (DC) comprising a retail channel (RC) and a direct online channel(DOC), it is necessary to consider customers’ purchasing behaviors and preferences. This paper proposes the optimalsales strategy for DC under the situation where customer purchasing preference is unknown. This paper discussesthree types of customers: (i) customers who prefer purchasing a single type of products in RC, (ii) customers who preferpurchasing them in DOC, (iii) indecisive customers who purchase in either RC or DOC. A retailer runs RC anddetermines the optimal retail price. A manufacturer runs DOC and determines the optimal direct online price. Thispaper assumes that each channel faces price-dependent demand. Two sales strategies are compared: the cooperatedsales strategy (COSS) and the competed sales strategy (CMSS). Under COSS, a retailer and a manufacturer determinetheir prices cooperatively. Under CMSS, they determine their prices competitively. Using numerical examples, how(i) the uncertainty in customer purchasing preference, (ii) the existence ratio of indecisive customers, (iii) the sensitivityof demand by the difference between the retail price and the direct online price and (iv) the decrease ratio of theproduct demand for the increase in price, affect the optimal decisions under COSS and CMSS.
Semantic Segmentation with Rgbd Camera and Real-time 2D Mapping in Fields for Robot Mower

Mowing is burdensome and automation by the robot mower is expected. For autonomous running of the robot mower, the accurate information of fields with various types of objects is necessary. In this research, we developed a real-time outdoor 2D mapping method based on semantic segmentation using RGBD camera for autonomous running of robot mower. In our method, first, pixel-wise classification image is obtained from RGB-D image using semantic segmentation, which is a technique of image processing by deep convolutional neural network (DCNN), and using the classification image and the depth image, the environmental information about the location and the type of objects in the surroundings is obtained. At the same time, the state (position, attitude, etc.) is estimated from output of GNSS receiver and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) using Extended Kalman Filter (EKF). By combining the environmental information and the state, 2D map is created in real-time. To verify our method, we used the differential driven four-wheel vehicle (with two driving wheels, two driven wheels) imitating an actual mower (with four driving wheels). The vehicle has an RGBD camera, a GNSS receiver, IMU and a control computer. As a result, the vehicle properly classified the surrounding objects and 2D map was created in real time. By using the map obtained by our method, autonomous running of the robot mower can be performed even in fields with various types of objects.
Advanced powder processes for chemical applications
( Masahiro Inoki ) 한국공업화학회 2015 한국공업화학회 연구논문 초록집 Vol.2015 No.1
Composing technology has opened the door for developing new functionalities as well as new materials for its ability to create composite particles using ultra-fine particles with different properties that could never be achieved with single components. For this reason, there are high hopes for Nano Particle Technology to be a breakthrough for further advancements in Powder Technology. In this presentation, we will introduce mainly two machines that our company has developed; Single/Multi-component oxidized Nano Particle Synthesizer “Nano Creator (FCM)” and Mechanical Dry Particle Composing Machine “Nobilta (NOB)”. We will review the technical features for each machine as well as its performance and applications respectively.
Pitfalls in the Management of Atlanto-Occipital Dislocation
Masahiro Aoyama,Muneyoshi Yasuda,Masahioro Joko,Mikinobu Takeuchi,Aichi Niwa,Masakazu Takayasu 대한척추외과학회 2015 Asian Spine Journal Vol.9 No.3
Atlanto-occipital dislocation (AOD) is rarely seen in clinic because it is characteristically immediately fatal. With recent progress in the pre-hospital care, an increasing number of AOD survivors have been reported. However, because the pathophysiology of AOD is not clearly understood yet, the appropriate strategy for the initial management remains still unclear. We report a case of successful AOD treatment and describe important points in the management of this condition. It is important to note that abducens nerve palsy is a warning sign of AOD and that AOD can result in a life-threatening distortion of the arteries and the brain stem. We recommend the application of a halo vest to protect the patient’s neural and vascular competence as the immediate initial step in the treatment of AOD. Horn’s grading system is useful in assessing indications for surgery. Finally, when performing posterior fixation, C2 should be included because of the anatomy of the ligamentous architecture.
Osteosarcopenia synergistically increases the risk of falls in patients with rheumatoid arthritis
Masahiro Tada,Yutaro Yamada,Koji Mandai,Yoshinari Matsumoto,Noriaki Hidaka 대한골다공증학회 2021 Osteoporosis and Sarcopenia Vol.7 No.4
Objectives: Osteosarcopenia is defined as osteoporosis with sarcopenia. The impacts of osteosarcopenia on falls and fractures in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients were investigated using 4 years of data from a longitudinal study (CHIKARA study). Methods: The patients were divided into 4 groups by their baseline status: no sarcopenia and no osteoporosis (SP-OP-); only sarcopenia (SP + OP-); only osteoporosis (SP-OP+); and both sarcopenia and osteoporosis (SP + OP+). Survival rates and Cox hazard ratios were analyzed using falls and fractures as endpoints, adjusted by age, sex, and body mass index. Results: A total of 100 RA patients (SP-OP-: 44%, SP + OP-: 17%, SP-OP+: 28%, and SP + OP+: 11%) were enrolled; 37 patients had falls, and 19 patients had fractures. The fall-free and fracture-free survival rates were significantly lower in SP + OP+ (36.4%, 54.5%) than in SP-OP- (75.0%, 86.4%). The hazard ratio of falls was significantly increased in SP + OP+, by 3.32-fold (95%CI: 1.01-10.9), whereas in SP + OP- and SP-OP+, there were no differences compared to SP-OP-. Conclusions: The survival rates with the endpoints of falls and fractures in RA patients with osteosarcopenia were lower during 4-year follow-up. The risk of falls increased with the synergistic effect of osteoporosis and sarcopenia.
