Novel Synthesis and Properties of $Si_3N_4$-based Nano/Nano-Type Composites

$Si_3N_4$/TiN nano/nano-type composites were successfully fabricated by the combination of a mechano-chemical grinding (MCG) method and a short time sintering process, and their wear resistance was evaluated. Powder mixtures of $\alpha-Si_3N_4$and Ti were prepared using mechano-chemical grinding process and the resulting nanocomposite powder mixtures were consolidated using pulsed electric current sintering (PECS). TEM observation showed that the nano/nano-type composites consisted of homogeneous and very fine matrix grains with the size less than 100 nm. The obtained $Si_3N_4$-based nano/nano-type showed high wear resistance and electric discharge machinability.

본 연구에서 물에 저장한 콤포짓트 레진의 피로강도 및 인장강도를 조사하였다. 2종의 광중합 콤포짓트 레진 (강화형 및 MFR 형)을 사용하였고 덤벨 모양의 시편을 제작하여 37±0.5℃에서 24시간, 1개월, 3개월, 5개월 및 12개월 동안 저장한 후 피로시험 및 직접인장 시험을 하였다. 계단방식을 사용하여 10^(5) 순환 하중에서 피로강도를 분석하였는데 24시간에서 강화형피로강도는 54.7MPa이고, MFR형은 28.1MPa이었다. 물에 저장동안 피로강도는 모두 감소하였는데 강화형 인장강도는 77.0MPa, MFR 형은 53.5MP 이었다. 12개월 저장 후 강화형 인장강도는 변하지 않았으나 MFR형은 감소하였다.

In the present work a very simple, sensitive and selective spectrophotometric method for the determination of nitrite in micellar media is described. The method is based on the color reaction of nitrite with p-nitroaniline in the presence of diphenylamine in acid media. In order to remove the extraction step, Triton X-100, a non-ionic surfactant was used as micellar media. The optimum reaction conditions such as acid concentration, reagents concentration and effect of time have been studied and the analytical characteristics of the method such as limit of detection, linear range and molar absorptivity have been obtained. The interference of some anions and cations was also tested. The method was applied to the determination of nitrite in real samples.
The Relationship Between Firing Modes and Nitric Oxide Emission In Highly Preheated Air Combustion

The influence of combustion air at temperatures on nitric oxide emission was studied. The nitric oxide emission generally increases with a rise in the temperature of the combustion air. However, if combustion products for dilution of fuel or combustion air are used before the combustion reaction, then the nitric oxide emission can be reduced even when highly preheated air for combustion air is used. Combustion in low oxygen concentrations flattens the firing mode, resulting in a uniform reaction, and, thus, low nitric oxide emission can be achieved.
