      • A Fridrich-Petrus based 3×3×3 Classic Cube Solver

        The Three by Three by Three (3×3×3) Rubik’s cube is a mechanical puzzle that is popular at this point in time. But despite of its popularity, many cube users are still having a hard time solving the cube. The main objective of this proposed study is to create a userfriendly application that would be a big help to anyone who wants to solve the cube properly, sequentially and easily. Through the analysis of the two existing algorithm namely Petrus and Fridrich Method, the researcher come up with the development of an algorithm that will improve the existing algorithm in terms of reducing the number movements made in order to solve the cube. By adapting the concept of spiral model as the system development life cycle and under going to an iterative process, the researcher was able to develop a new faster and accurate algorithm that will be implement in the 3×3×3 Rubik’s cube solver.
