We previously reported that oroxylin A, ac-aminobutyric acid A (GABAA) receptor antagonist,ameliorates drugs-induced memory impairments. We synthesizedseveral oroxylin A derivatives in efforts to find asubstance that has pro-cognitive effects as well as improvessensorimotor gating. The aim of the present study is toinvestigate the effect of a novel oroxylin A derivative,5,7-dihydroxy-6-methoxy-2(4-phenoxyphenyl)-4H-chromene-4-one (DMPC), on pharmacological models of schizophrenia,which exhibit memory impairment and sensorimotor gatingdeficit. Memory impairment was induced by scopolamine,a muscarinic receptor antagonist, or MK-801, an N-methyl-Daspartatereceptor antagonist. Sensorimotor gating deficitswere induced by MK-801 and measured by prepulse inhibition(PPI) of the acoustic startle response task. DMPC treatment(20 mg/kg) significantly attenuated scopolamine- or MK-801-induced memory impairment and it even enhanced cognitiveperformance of normal animals. Furthermore, DMPC significantlyameliorated MK-801-induced PPI deficits in theacoustic startle response task. In an in vitro study, DMPC(20 lM) inhibited intracellular Cl- influx induced by muscimol,a selective GABAA receptor agonist. These results suggestthat DMPC would be a potential candidate for alleviatingcognitive dysfunction and sensorimotor gating deficits inschizophrenia, and that its effects may be mediated, in part, viablockade of the GABAergic neurotransmitter system.
재한 중국인 유학생의 사회적 지지가 자기주도학습능력에 미치는 영향: 자아탄력성과 학업소진의 매개효과를 중심으로

This study investigated the structural relationships among social support, ego-resilience, academic burnout, and self-directed learning abilities in Chinese international students in South Korea, additionally examining the mediating effects of ego-resilience and academic burnout on the relationship between social support and self-directed learning ability. The research utilized data from 400 Chinese international students enrolled at universities in Seoul, Korea. The findings indicated that social support was significantly positively correlated with ego-resilience and self-directed learning ability, but negatively correlated with academic burnout. Ego-resilience demonstrated a positive correlation with self-directed learning ability and a negative correlation with academic burnout. Conversely, academic burnout showed a significant negative correlation with self-directed learning ability. Furthermore, social support, ego-resilience, and academic burnout exerted direct influences on self-directed learning ability. Notably, both ego-resilience and academic burnout served as partial mediators in the relationship between social support and self-directed learning ability. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of effective strategies to bolster the self-directed learning capacities of Chinese international students in South Korea.
Proteomic analyses on the browning of shade-dried Thompson seedless grape

China is one of the main producers in the worldwide raisin market. Most China’s raisins are produced in Xinjiang where the Thompson seedless grape ( Vitis vinifera L.cv.Thompson seedless) is the main variety of green raisin. However, the browning of Thompson seedless grape during drying has been well-acknowledged as the primary factor affecting the development of the raisin industry. Data independent acquisition (DIA)-based protein profiling was performed on fresh and shade-dried Thompson seedless grapes. As a result, 5431 proteins were identified, among which the amounts of 739 proteins in fresh grape were found to be significantly different with those in dried grape. The functional annotation based on the Blast2GO showed that the ‘organic substance metabolic process’, ‘regulation of molecular function’, ‘enzyme regulator activity’, and ‘isomerase activity’ related proteins became very active during browning. Further analyses revealed that the browning-related proteins, which with significant different amounts in fresh and in dried grapes, are primarily involved in the phenylpropanoid biosynthesis, tyrosine metabolism, phenylalanine metabolism, oxidative phosphorylation metabolism, plutathione metabolism, peroxisome pathway, and fatty acid degradation. And five random differential proteins were verified with parallel reaction monitoring (PRM). The PRM results were in agreement with the DIA data. The main browning-related proteins of Thompson seedless grape were identified in this study. Their properties were tested, and their roles in the browning mechanism were indicated. This will lay base to a better understanding on the enzymatic browning of Thompson seedless grape, and it will also provide guidance for controlling the quality of Thompson seedless grapes in industry.
Deformation and failure mechanism exploration of surrounding rock in huge underground cavern

In a super-large underground with “large span and high side wall”, it is buried in mountains with uneven lithology, complicated geostress field and developed geological structure. These surrounding rocks are more susceptible to stability issues during the construction period. This paper takes the left bank of Baihetan hydropower station (span is 34m) as a case study example, wherein the deformation mechanism of surrounding rock appears prominent. Through analysis of geological, geophysical, construction and monitoring data, the deformation characteristics and factors are concluded. The failure mechanism, spatial distribution characteristics, and evolution mechanism are also discussed, where rock mechanics theory, FLAC3D numerical simulation, rock creep theory, and the theory of center point are combined. In general, huge underground cavern stability issues has arisen with respect to huge-scale and adverse geological conditions since settling these issues will have milestone significance based on the evolutionary pattern of the surrounding rock and the correlation analyses, the rational structure of the factors, and the method of nonlinear regression modeling with regard to the construction and development of hydropower engineering projects among the worldwide.
A Provably-Correct Micro-Dalvik Bytecode Verifier

In this paper we propose and implement a provably-correct bytecode verifier for Micro-Dalvik which is a significant subset of Dalvik. We take the approach of a data flow analysis on semilattice to solve the bytecode verification. The operational semantics of Micro-Dalvik is developed. The semilattice structure is constructed and transfer functions are defined. Based on the semilattice and transfer functions the well-typing is described. The bytecode verifier is realized to compute a method type to see whether each instruction is assigned a well-typing. By giving conforming relations between the machine state and the well-typing, the correctness of the verifier is proved that the verifier guarantees safe execution and well-typed Micro-Dalvik programs do not produce type errors.
