A Development Vehicle Localization Fail Safe for Reliability Improvement of Lv3 Autonomous Driving
Kyungil Seo,Jaehoon Lee,Jaeyoung Lee,Ilki Moon 한국자동차공학회 2019 한국자동차공학회 부문종합 학술대회 Vol.2019 No.5
In this paper, vehicle localization fail safe algorithm is proposed for improving localization accuracy and for securing reliability for level 3 autonomous driving. This logic is not necessary an additional and expensive sensors configuration using sensor fusion with practical usage and high density map. And the proposed algorithm suggests three-step safety mechanism. The first step is to detect and to monitor about in-vehicle sensors. The second step is a DR(Dead Reckoning) fail monitoring model-based fail monitoring. The last process is a map-matching fail safe to detect and recover abnormal position of map-matching result. The fail detection and monitoring algorithm was validated by real vehicle level over a hundred thousand kilometer driving. The performance of DR fail monitoring logic was evaluated by vehicle-simulation with real sensor measurements. It is also verified that the proposed logic shows its reliability of detection and recovery to the abnormal case by the simulation.

Background and Objectives: In acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), on-site transmission of electrocardiogram (ECG) has been shown to reduce systemic time delay to reperfusion and improve outcomes. However, it has not been adopted in community-based emergency transport system in Korea. Methods: Busan Regional Cardio-cerebrovascular Center and Busan Metropolitan City Fire and Safety Headquarters (BMFSH) jointly developed and conducted a pre-hospital ECG transmission program. Seven tertiary hospitals and 22 safety stations of BMFSH participated. Systemic time delay to reperfusion of STEMI patients in the program was compared with that of 95 patients transported by 119 emergency medical system (EMS) before the program was implemented. Results: During the study period, 289 ECG transmissions were made by 119 EMS personnel, executed within 5 minutes in 88.1% of cases. Of these, 42 ECGs were interpreted as ST-segment elevation. Final diagnosis of STEMI was made in 20 patients who underwent primary percutaneous coronary intervention. With the program, systemic time delay to reperfusion was significantly reduced (median [interquartile range; IQR], 76.0 [62.2–98.7] vs. 90.0 [75.0–112.0], p<0.01). Significant reduction of door-to-balloon time was also observed (median [IQR], 45.0 [34.0–69.5] vs. 58.0 [51.0–68.0], p=0.03). The proportion of patients with systemic time delay shorter than 90 minutes rose (51.6% vs. 75.0%, p=0.08) with pre-hospital ECG transmission. Conclusions: We developed and implemented a community-based pre-hospital ECG transmission program for expeditious triage of STEMI patients. Significant reductions of systemic time delay and door-to-balloon time were observed. The expanded use of pre-hospital ECG transmission should be encouraged to realize the full potential of this program.
Preliminary analysis of language styles in a sample of schizophrenics.
Lee, Chang H,Lee, Myungju,Ahn, Sungwoo,Kim, Kyungil Psychological reports 2007 Psychological reports Vol.101 No.2

Language use of schizophrenics and normal people was compared by applying the language analysis program, Korean Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count. Participants were asked to write a story about the most emotional experience of their lives on A4 size paper. 28 schizophrenics (M age: 26 yr.) and 32 normal people (M age: 23 yr.) participated. Analysis showed normal people used more words about jobs and achievements and fewer words about sex and food. The schizophrenics used fewer pronouns, personal pronouns, and adverbs than the normal group. Some aspects of clinical mechanism are manifest in language uses.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the kinematic variables and electromyography (EMG) findings that change with varying characteristics of crouch start and feedback provision, and to provide the fundamental data for record improvement in 400 mH. Method: Four short-distance runners participated in the experiment. The analyzed variables were elapsed time per interval, stride length, and muscle activities in three lower limb muscles. These variables were analyzed by using Kwon3d XP and Noraxon Myoresearch. The participants were subjected to three conditions, including two conditions that relate to the thrusting foot on the rear block and another condition pertinent to feedback provision. Results: In terms of a one-step interval, the elapsed time in condition A was longer than that in condition B, and the one after the feedback was the longest. The stride length of a one-step interval was the longest in condition A. The stride length of a two-step interval was the shortest in condition A. The muscle activity during a one-step interval showed differences in vastus medialis and medial gastrocnemius, with condition A being the highest. Conclusion: When the non-dominant left foot was located at the back, negative results were observed in terms of elapsed time and stride length. Moreover, an imbalance in muscle activity was observed between the left and right feet when the left foot was placed at the back. As a result, significant differences in elapsed time, stride length, and muscle activity were observed depending on the foot placed on the rear block. In conclusion, we identified the characteristics of crouch start in 400 mH, and a specialized program must be suggested.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in basic physical strength, anaerobic power, and angular muscle strength according to the group of soccer players. To this end, from Oct. 2 to Oct. 30, 2020, 26 athletes from the college and high school team were conducted. The experimental design was divided into basic test for human system, muscle function test, anaerobic power test, and basic physical strength test. Data processing is SPSS Ver. 23.0 The t-test was performed using the statistical package program. The results of the study are as follows. First, the variables that differ in basic physical strength of soccer players according to the group they belong to were left-handed strength, sit-ups, and 20 m reciprocating run. Second, the variables that differ in the anaerobic lower limbs of soccer players according to the group they belong to, were the highest power per weight and the fatigue rate. It was expected that soccer players’ performance would improve by suggesting a systematic training program based on this research.
College students' style of language usage: clues to creativity.
Kim, Kyungil,Lee, Yoonhyoung,Lee, Chang H Perceptual and motor skills [etc.] 2012 Perceptual and Motor Skills Vol.114 No.1

The current study aimed to provide initial quantitative data on the relationship between college students' style of language usage and their creativity. Correlation coefficients between Alternative Use Test creativity scores and Korean Linguistic Inquiry and Word Counts were calculated from 157 college students' stream of consciousness writings. The results showed that people who scored as more creative also used more content words to express their thoughts, and they did so in a more straightforward manner. The results also showed that these people used a greater number of concepts that were more abstract, had a more individualistic perspective, and thought in less conventional ways. This study provides reference data for future studies on the relationship between creativity and language usage.
