小白山 森林構造에 關한 硏究(Ⅰ) : 海拔高에 따른 泉洞溪谷의 植生構造를 中心으로

CheonDong valley forest, bearing a cooltemperature, broadleafdeciduous forest zone, ranging from 500m to 1200m by elevation in Mt. Sobeak National Park area was investigated for forest vegetation structure research. Ten plots of 1000㎡ size set up by the clumped sampling method and Classification and Polar Ordination were applied for vegetation structure analysis by environmental gradient the flora of the vascular plants collected from this investigated area were 32 families, 35 genera, 42 species and 3 varieties. Ranging from 500m to 1200m to elevation, Number of species, Number of individuals and Species diversity showed their highest values at 900m elevation respectively. And with increasing altitude those all values showed a tendency decreasing gradually. According to the Importance Value the leading dominant tree species in canopy layer were Styrax obassia, Quercus variabilis, Q. aliena, Carpinus codata while Lindera obtusiloba, Lespedeza bicolor were in understory at low elevation, ranging from 500m to 900m. Ant at high elevation area, ranging from 900m to 1200m, the leading dominant species were Q. monglica, Q. acutisima, Betula platyphylla var. japonica, Cornus controversa, Acer pseudosieboldianum, Fraxinus mandshurica, n canopy layer while Deuzia paviflora, Pinus laxiflora were in understory. The result from Classification and Polar Ordination analysis, they showed similarity that the forest vegetation of Sobeak valley area was classified into two subcommunities, one is Q. mongolica, Styrux obassia―Styrux obassia, Q. aliena, Carpinus codata―Styrux obassia, Lespedeza bicolor community and the other is Q. variabilia, Q. acutisima―Acer mono, Fruxinus rhynchophylla―Deutzia parviflora, Lindera obtusiloba community and the major environmental factors were considered to be the difference of altitude and the conditions of soil pH. The successional trends of tree species will be from Q. variabilis, Q. acutisima through Acer pseudosieboldianum, Fraxinus rhynchophylla to Carpinus codata at high elevation area, ranging from 900m to 1200m, and from Q. mongolica, Styrax obassia through Styrax obassia, Q aliena to Carpinus codata at low elevation area, ranging from 500m to 900m.
의료용 선형가속기의 일상 점검을 위해 개발한 이온전리함의 특성 연구

The dosimetric system consisting of parallel plate type of air-filled ionization chamber and charge-to-voltage converter was designed to do daily constancy check of the high energy photon beam of Clinac 1800C linear accelerator(Varian Co., Pola Alto, California, USA). The ionization chamber was fabricated using acrylic plate for the chamber medium and printed circuit board for electrical configuration. The sensitive volume of the chamber was 1.6cc. High voltage generator was fabricated using the conventional 9V batteries to apply the high voltage(300V) to the electrode of the ionization chamber. Also the charge-to-voltage converter was designed to collect the electrons produced in the ionization chamber cavity. The output reading was converted into the digital signal using the commercially available digital multimeter to produce four-digit readings. The major parameters of the chamber characteristics such as reproducibility. linearity. leakage current. zero drift. timer error. dose-rate effect and polarity effect etc. were measured. These data were comparable to those of the QA-purpose dosimetric system commercially available in the market. Also this dosimetric system can be extended to do the flatness/symmetry check of the photon as well as the constancy check of the various electron beams for the purpose of outputs as well as energy measurements.
항생제 다제내성균 Staphylococcus aureus SA2로부터 분리한 테트라사이클린 내성 플라스미드 pKH6의 염기서열

한국에서 임산균주로부터 분리한 테트라사이클린(Tc) 내성 플라스미드 pKH6의 전체 염기서열을 결정하여 가장 대표적인 Tc 내성 플라스미드인 pT181과 비교하였다. pKH6의 전체 길이는 4439bp로 pT181과 동일하게 나타났으며 염기서열은 7개의 염기에서 차이를 보였다. 전부 다 염기쌍이 치환된 형태로 나타났으며 그 중 3개는 coding 부위에서 일어났다. coding 부위에서 일어난 경우에도 1개는 동일한 아미노산을 coding 하였기 때문에 pT181과 차이가 없었으며 RepC와 Pre 단백질에 있어 각각 1개의 아미노산에서 차이를 나타내었다. The complete nucleotide sequence of pKH6, a tetracycline-resistance (Tc^r) plasmid isolated from multi-drug resistant Staphlococcus aureus SA2, has been determined and compared with that of the staphylococcal Tc^r plasmid pT181. The nucleotide sequences of the two plasmids are in agreement except for 7 nucleotides. All differences are caused by base pair substitutions. Among 6 substitutions, 3 occurred in coding regions. However, only tow base substitutions in coding regions resulted in changes of amino acid sequences in two different ORFs of repC and Pre proteins.

The objective of this study was to evaluate platelet-rich fibrin (PRF)’s effectiveness in repairing articular disc defect in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) of rabbits. Eight rabbits were divided into four groups of two rabbits each, corresponding to groups A, B, C, and D. Both TMJs of all of the rabbits were used in the experiments: the right joints comprised the experimental groups, and the left ones, the control groups. The disc defect was circular and 2 mm in diameter. In the experimental groups, the PRF was compressed into the defect, whereas the control group defects were left untreated. A, B, C, and D groups were sacrificed at the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th weeks, respectively. The defects of each control group exhibited no specific changes. Contrastingly, in each experimental group, there was an increased number of chondroblasts at the margins of the defects, along with accelerated cell differentiation and a columnar cell arrangement observable at the time of cell differentiation. The experimental groups showed inflammatory cell infiltrations and fibrosis by the 1st week, maturation of chondrocytes by the 2nd week, and proliferation by the 4th week, after which the defects began to be filled with chondrocytes, a process that was complete after the 6th week. In the histological evaluation (H-E), the experimental groups showed significant increases of chondroblasts after the 2nd and 4th weeks, as well as regular columns of chondrocyte arrays observable during cell division. After 6 weeks, the defects were filled with chondrocytes.

Numerical simulation is one of the most useful tools to study gas discharge phenomena that occur in alternating current plasma display panel (AC-PDP) cell. Most PDP cell simulations have been performed for two-dimensional cell, is cross-section along the address electrode. We developed a three-dimensional PDP simulator and applied it to a T-shaped electrode cell in order to show the effects of sustain electrode shape that cannot be included in two-dimensional simulation. The dependence of power consumption on electrode shape and area in the simulation showed the same trend as experiment.
고추의 건조율 및 색도에 미치는 Blanching 효과

Blanching 처리가 고추의 건조율 및 색도에 미치는 효과를 조사하고자 실험실 규모의 열풍 건조기를 제작하였으며 strain gage형의 load cell과 strain amplifier를 이용하여 건조 중의 중량을 연속적으로 기록, 측정하였다. 고추의 건조특성곡선은 대조군에서는 예비, 항율, 감율건조기간이 뚜렷한 반면, blanching 처리군은 감율조건기간만 존재하였으며, 시료의 건조율과 건조상수 값은 blanching 처리 온도와 시간에 비례하여 증가하는 경향이었고, 100℃, 3분 blanching 처리군이 가장 높게 나타났다. Capsanthin 함량 역시 대조군에 비해 처리군이blanching 처리온도와 시간에 비례하였으며 색도 값의 경우 80℃, 3분 blanching군이 가장 우수하였다. blanching 처리는 전반적으로 고추의 건조율 증진 및 색도 보존에 효과적이며 80℃, 3분 blanching 처리가 비교적 적합하였다. To examine the effects of blanching treatments on the drying of hot red pepper, the pilot scale hot-air dryer equipped witb tbe weight sensor using strain gauge type load cell and strain amplifier was designed and manufactured, The drying characteristic curves of cut hot red pepper showed a settling down period followed by a constant rate period and falling rate period, but blanched hot red pepper showed only falling rate period. According as the blanching time and temperature rises, the drying rates and the capsanthin contents of hot red pepper fairly increased. Considering the drying rates and the color values of dried hot red pepper, we suggest the desirable blanching condition of hot red pepper should be water blanching at 80℃ for 3 mins.
Simple measurement the chelator number of antibody conjugates by MALDI-TOF MS

Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF MS) is one of the powerful methods that enable analysis of small molecules as well as large molecules up to about 500,000 Da without severe fragmentation. MALDI-TOF MS, thus, has been a very useful an analytical tool for the confirmation of synthetic molecules, probing PTMs, and identifying structures of a given protein. In recent nuclear medicine, MALDI-TOF MS liner ion mode helps researcher calculate the average number of chelator(or linkage) per an antibody conjugate, such as DOTA-(or DFO-) trastuzumab for labeling a medical radioisotope. This simple technique can be utilized to improve the labeling method and control the quality at the development of antibody-based radiopharmaceuticals, which is very effected to diagnosis and therapy for in vivo tumor cells, with radioisotopes like $^{89}Zr$, $^{64}Cu$, and 177Lu. To minimize the error, MALDI-TOF MS measurement is repeatedly performed for each sample in this study, and external calibration is carried out after data collection.
