        국립공원 내 파충류 자원의 효율적인 관리를 위한 PIT(passive integrated transponder) tag과 무선추적방법(radio telemetry)의 적용

        본 연구는 PIT tag (passive integrated transponder)과 무선추적법(radio telemetry)을 오대산국립공원과 월악산국립공원에 서식하고 있는 파충류에 적용한 후, 이를 평가하여 효과적으로 국립공원 내 파충류 자원관리 방안을 모색하기 위하여 수행되었다. PIT tag은 현재까지 알려진 파충류 개체표시법 중에서 가장 효과적인 방법으로 2006년 3월부터 2008년 10월까지 오대산국립공원과 월악산국립공원의 조사지역에 출현한 모든 137마리의 뱀류를 대상으로 적용하였다. 무선추적 연구는 월악산국립공원에서 서식하고 있는 황구렁이(Elaphe schrenckii anomala) 2마리를 대상으로 2007년 9월부터 2008년 11월까지 실시하였다. 연구결과, 두 곳의 국립공원 지역에서 연구기간 동안 17마리가 재 포획되어 평균 12.40%의 재포획률을 보였으며, 재 포획된 개체들의 자료를 통하여 누룩뱀(Elaphe dione)과 쇠살모사(Gloydius ussuriensis) 성체의 SVL 증가를 성공적으로 확인하였다. 무선추적을 통하여 확인된 황구렁이 수컷의 행동권 면적은 MCP=389,600 m2, Kernel 95%=471,800 m2, 암컷은 MCP=162,500 m2, Kernel 95%=208,700 m2인 것으로 확인되었다. 국립공원 내에서 보호와 관리가 필요한 종 혹은 멸종위기대상 종인 파충류를 대상으로 PIT tag과 무선추적을 적용한다면 공원 내 파충류의 효율적인 관리 및 보존방안을 마련하는 데 중요한 기초자료를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. To suggest effective ways of the management of reptiles in Korea national parks, we applied PIT (passive integrated transponder) tag and radio telemetry research methods in the monitoring of reptiles in Odaesan and Woraksan national parks. We implanted PIT tags into 137 snakes (six species) captured in both the national parks between March 2006 and October 2008 and also radio-tracked two Korean rat snakes (Elaphe schrenckii anomala) from September 2007 to November 2008 in the Woraksan national park. Of total 137 snakes which we had inserted the PIT tag, 17 snakes (12.40%) were recaptured. Based on the PIT tag data of the recapture, we successfully obtained the annual growth rate of Korean cat snakes (Elaphe dione) and Red-tongue pit-viper (Gloydius ussuriensis). Home range of the Korean rat snakes based on the data of radio-tracking was estimated as 389,600 m2 (MCP: Minimum convex polygon) and 471,800 m2 (Kernel 95%) for males and 162,500m2 and 208,700m2 for females. These results suggest that if we apply PIT tag and radio telemetry research methods to manage reptiles in Korea national parks, it could greatly increase our understanding about their basic ecology and as the result, it could allow us to develop better management and conservation ways of reptiles in Korea national parks.

        A method of calculating the natural frequency corresponding to the first mode of vibration of beams and tower structures, with irregular cross-sections and with arbitrary boundary conditions was developed and reported by D. H. Kim in 1974. This method has been developed for two-dimensional problems including the laminated composite plates and was proved to be very effective for the plates with arbitrary boundary conditions and irregular sections. In this paper, the result of application of this method to the clamped composite plates with non-uniform cross-section and with attached point mass/masses is presented.

      • 2류체 및 초음파 분무열분해법에 의한 Al₂O₃ 분체합성

        γ-Al₂O₃powders were prepared by spray pyrolyis method using a two-fluid nozzle or ultrasonic neubilizer from the ethanol or water/ethanol solution of Al(NO₃)₃·9H₂O. The spraying test of starting solution of a two-fluid nozzle showed that mean size and standard deviation of droplet were about 10 ㎛, and 5 respectively. For the case of ultrasonic neubilizer, those were 3∼4 ㎛ and 2∼2.5. As-prepared powders by a two-fluid nozzle spray pyrolysis, γ-Al₂O₃crystalline particles were synthesized at 1000℃, those were spherical with a lot of dimpled or ruptured surface and their mean size and standard deviation were 2.0∼2.3 ㎛ and 1.5. γ-Al₂O₃powders which were synthesized by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis at 900℃ were smooth spherical particle mainly, and their mean sizes and standard deviation were 0.5∼1.3 ㎛ and 0.4∼0.9. The droplets generated by ultrasonic neubilizer had small size and narrow size distribution, so those pyrolysized spherical powders were small in size and had narrow size distribution, too. The synthesized γ-Al₂O₃crystalline particles by spray pyrolysis using both droplet generation method were transformed into α-Al₂O₃ phase by calcination at 1100℃ for 1 hr.

      • 분무열분해법에 의한 MgO 및 NiO첨가 Al₂o₃분체로 제조한 소결체에서의 Spinel확인

        Powders prepared by spray pyrolysis method are expected to have the compositional homogeneity and homogeneous distribution of additives. Pure MgO doped and NiO doped Al₂O₃ powders were synthesized by spray pyrolysis method at 1000℃. Sintered specimens were prepared by firing at 1600, 1650 and 1700℃ for 2 hrs. with their calcined powders of 1100℃ for 1 hr. The microstructure of pure Al₂O₃ sintered specimen showed large grains and grain-boundary pores, and its ralative density was about 91% even thought it was fired at 1700℃, 2hrs. 0.25 wt% MgO or 0.3 wt% NiO doped Al₂O₃ prevented discontinuous grain growth and eliminated residual pores, and allowded the specimen to densify to near a theoretical density. More MgO or NiO doping into Al₂O₃ impeded the grain growth and included many pores. According to SAD (selected area diffraction) and EDS analysis of sintered Al₂O₃bodies doped with 0.25, 5.0 wt% MgO and 0.3, 0.5 wt% NiO, the second phase Mg-Al spinel particles and Ni-Al spinel particles were observed at grain boundary and inside Al₂O₃ grains.

      • 소아의 급성 특발성 혈소판 감소성 자반증에서 ABO 혈액형에 따른 정주용 면역 글로불린의 치료 효과

        Purpose: Idiopathic or immune thrombocytopenic purpura(ITP) is a common childhood illness characterized by thrombocytopenia secondary to shortened platelet survival. Medical therapy includes corticosteroids, intravenous immune globulin (IVIG), and IV Rho(D) immunoglobulin (anti-D). Individuals with Rh-negative blood generally do not respond to treatment with anti-D, but little information is currently available regarding the potential relationship between blood type and response to IVIG. This study was designed to characterize the relationship between ABO and Rh blood type and the response to IVIG in children and adolescents with newly diagnosed ITP. Patients and Method: A retrospective chart review was performed for 31 patients with newly diagnosed ITP initially treated with IVIG by the Department of Pediatrics at Soonchunhyang University Hospital in Seoul and Chunan, Korea. Results: There were no significant differences in response rate or clinical outcome by ABO blood group in children with ITP who received IVIG monotherapy as their initial treatment. However we could not evaluate the effect of Rh type on the reponse to IVIG because our all patients were Rh positive. Conclusion: ABO blood group does not appear to be prognostic factors when IVIG monotherapy is the initial treatment for childhood ITP.

        응급의료센터 과밀화 해소를 위한 환자 전원

        To reduce the degree of overcrowding in level Ⅲ emergency care centers, authors have conducted a prospective study of patient who were transferred to level Ⅰ or Ⅲemergency center based on the non-emergent patient guideline currently used at the severance Hospital, level Ⅲ emergency center, during the period of 65 days from Jan. 1st 1995 to Mar. 6th 1995. Followings are guideline for non-emergent patient described by the Korean government low: 1) systolic blood pressure greater than 80/100 of normal. 2) respiration rate between 10 to 24 per minute. 3) pulse rate between 60 to 100 per minute. 4) body temperature between 36 to 37.5℃ by rectal. 5) relatively alert mental status. 6) patient not requiring emergency operation at the time of examination. The results were as follows: 1. Among the total 5,301 patients, 464 patients ranged from age of 1 to 82 years old were transferred to level Ⅰor Ⅱ emergency center after simple treatment. 2. Among the 464 patients, 276 patients were treated in expected hospital with medical problems in 101 (36.6%) patients, and 175 (63.4%) patients had surgical problems. 3. Among the 276 patients, 122 (44.2%) patients were admitted, 145 (52.9%) patients were discharged from the emergency room after adequate treatment. 4. Among the transferred patients, simple laceration (33.0%) were most common, acute gastroenteritis (12.0%), and simple contusion (10.5%) were followed. These results suggest that about 10% of patients visiting level Ⅲ emergency care center, can be safely transferred to nearest level Ⅰor Ⅱ emergency centers on the bases of non-emergent patient guideline described by Emergency Medical Service law. These guideline, if put into proper use, can reduce the degree of overcrowding problems in level Ⅲ emergency care center through out the country.

        A common form of relapse in adenocarcinoma of the stomach is intraperitoneal dissemination, in fact, among gastric adenocarcinoma patients who have undergone surgery intended to cure, approximately 50% of the patients develope initial recurrence in the peritoneal cavity regardless of the anatomic site of the primary tumor within the stomach. The efficacy of systemic postoperative chemotherapy to prevent peritoneal recurrence of gastrric adcnocarcinoma is not satisfactory. There is still a great need for improved therapeutic strategies on the disseminated microscopic disease and small miliary nodules remaining on the peritoneal surface or lymphatics after operation. The authers have made fluorouracil-polyglycolic acid composite disks(Fu-PGA disks) with fluorouracil and biodegradable polymer: polyglycolic acid for more effective intraperitoneal chemotherapy. We inserted the Fu-PGA disk(s) in the peritoneal cavity of rat and pharmacokinetic study was performed to measure fluorouracil concentration in the peritoneal fluid, plasma, liver, kidney and heart tissue at 24 hour, 72 hour and 168 hour after insertion of Fu-PGA disk(s). Myelosuppressive action of this composite also was determined following its administration. The data of this study suggested that Fu-PGA composite will be a new device releasing drugs in a controlled manner and having targetability to peritoneum, and this device will be improving the efficacy of intraperitoneal chemotherapy for gastric adenocarcinoma.

      • 소아 결핵성 뇌막염에 대한 임상적 고찰

        A total of 43 cases of tuberculous meningitis in children who were admitted to the pediatric department of Soonchunhyang Chunan hospital and Soonchunhyang Gumi hospital from Jan. 1983 to Dec. 1997 were reviewed clinically. The results were as follows; 1) The incidence of tuberculous meningitis admitted patients has been decreased. 2) The ratio of male to female was 1.5:1. 3) The incidence by age was highest under the age of 1 year (32.6%) and 72.1% of the patient were under 6 years. 4) There were tuberculous patients in the family in 34.9% of all cases. 5) The symptoms on admission were, in order: vomiting, fever, headache, irritability, impaired consciousness, lethargy and convulsion. 6) In the neurological examination on admission, 41.8% of all cases were in a coma or a semicomatose state; Kernig or Brudzinski sign was positive in 51.2% of the cases. 7) The tuberculin skin test was positive in only 14.2% of the cases. 8) On chest X-rays, tuberculous lesion was seen in 32.6%, and miliary patterns were seen in 9.1% of all cases. 9) Brain CT was performed in 8 cases and brain MRI in 1 case, with abnormal findings in 100% of these cases. The brain CT findings were hydrocephalus in 8 cases; basal cisteral enhancement in 2 cases; and infarction and tuberculoma in one case each. 10) In cerebrospinal fluid study, the mean leukocyte count was 174.3/μL (51 to 200/μL). The mean protein level was 154.9 mg/dL. The mean sugar level was 38.7 mg/dL. The mean chloride level was 110.8 mEq/L.. 11) The overall mortality rate was 11.9% and all patients classified as the 3rd stage on admission died.

      • 실리카흄을 흔입한 고강도 콘크리트 개발

        콘크리트 구조물이 대형화됨에 따라 설계단면이 증대되어 상대적으로 많은 경제적 손실을 부담하게 된다. 따라서 단면을 감소시키면서도 소요의 하중에 안전한 구조물을 건설하기 위해서는 우선적으로 구조물 건설에 기초가 되는 고품질, 고내구성의 고강도 콘크리트 개발이 절실히 요구된다 본 연구에서는 일정 시멘트비 및 혼화재 비율하에서 소요의 워커빌리티가 확보되는 고강도 콘크리트를 시간과 온도의 변화에 따라 증기 양생하여, 압축, 인장, 휨강도 뿐만 아니라 파괴특성을 실험적으로 연구하였다. 시료 제작시 시멘트 입자 사이의 공극 및 불연속 영역을 충전하여 고밀도화하기 위한 콘크리트용 혼화재로 시멘트 비표면적이 상당히 작은 초미립 분말인 실리카흄을 이용하였다. 또한 AE감수제 및 고성능 유동화제를 사용하여 혼화재의 첨가에 의하여 발생될 수 있는 워커빌리티의 감소를 방지하였다. 실험결과에 의하면 일정 양생 지속 시간하에서 온도의 증가에 따라 콘크리트의 압축, 인장 및 휨강도가 전반적으로 증가하였다. 동일하게 일정 온도하에서 양생 지속시간이 커짐에 따라 강도들이 증가됨을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 상대적으로 높은 온도와 긴 지속 양생 조건하에서 파괴에 대한 저항력이 크게 나타났다. The compressible, tensible, and flexibleresistance of the high strength concrete is analyzed by the experimentation in the present study. For the test, we cure several samples with the silica fume as a mixture being become dense the spaces between the particle of cement under the variation of both the temperature and the curing-interval. Then, the superplasticizer and the ezcon are also used to satisfy the required workability for construction. The compressible, tensible, and flexible resistances to a stress are increased as increasing the temperature and the time interval for the curing. Therefore it is concluded that the overal fractural and mechanical properties is improved by mixing the silica fume into the cement.
