Total synthesis of 2′,4′,6′‐trimethoxy‐3′,5′‐dimethylchalcone derivatives

2′,4′-Dihydroxy-6′-methoxy-3′,5′-dimethylchalcone (DMC), which is isolated from plants, has recently attracted much attention due to its beneficial pharmacological effects. The preparation of twelve 2′,4′,6′-trimethoxy-3′,5′- dimethylchalcone (DMDMC) derivatives, which are dimethylated-derivatives of DMC, is reported herein for the first time. Our synthetic method allowed the efficient construction of the DMDMC derivatives from phloroglucinol in 37.8%– 46.5% overall yields. This promising approach would be advantageous for the production of many different DMDMC derivatives in a short period of time.

Calculated and Experimental UV and IR Spectra of Oligo-para-phenylenes

The quantum mechanical properties of a series of oligo-para-phenylenes (2-11) were characterized using DFT B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) calculations. The global minimum among the various torsional conformers of an oligo-p-phenylene is calculated to be a twist conformation. A less stable planar conformation, in which all the dihedral angles in oligo-p-phenylene are restricted to be planar, has also been calculated. The total electronic energies, normal vibrational modes, Gibbs free energies, and HOMOs and LUMOs of the two different conformations (twisted and planar) of the oligo-p-phenylenes were analyzed. The energy differences between the HOMOs and LUMOs of the substrates are in accord with the maximum absorption peaks of the experimental UV spectra of 2-6. The calculated normal vibrational modes of 2-6 were comparable with their experimental IR spectra.

농업수리시설 유지관리 비용 산출 연구

2000년 이후 물관리 비용은 증가하고 있으나 서비스의 질과 농업인의 만족도는 상대적으로 미흡하고 부정적인 시각이 제기되고 있으며 안정적인 농업용수 공급을 위한 수리시설 유지관리비 확보는 현재 제기되고 있는 서비스 및 농업인 만족도 향상에 직결된다 할 수 있다. 또한 국민들의 의식수준 변화로 인한 농업용수의 관개용수 개념을 넘어 다목적농촌용수 수요에 대한 적절한 대처가 필요하다. 이에 농업수리시설 유지관리가 더욱 중요해 짐에 따라 예산확보 및 서비스 개선의 필요성에 따라 적정한 농업용수 원가산출이 절실히 요구된다. 일반적으로 공기업이 적용하는 원가는 요금책정의 기준이 되며, 사업운영에 필요한 모든 비용과 사업확장에 소요되는 추가 자본을 유치할 수 있는 이윤을 포괄하는 총괄원가 개념이므로, 이러한 총괄원가 이하로 서비스를 공급하는 것은 불가능하며, 이로 인해 총괄원가는 요금결정의 하한선의 역할을 한다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 현행 농업수리시설 유지관리 원가산정이 개별 수리시설별로 예산에 맞추어 매년 진행되다보니 정확한 유지관리 사업량을 계산하기 위한 실적자료 확보에 한계가 있다. 농업수리시설 유지관리 원가를 산정하기 위해서는 유지관리 원가를 구성하는 개별 항목에 대한 실제 조사된 자료나 공식적으로 발표된 통계자료가 필요하다. 그러나 현재 농업수리시설 유지관리 원가를 구성하는 항목에 대하여 전국적인 실적자료나 통계자료가 구체적으로 조사되지 못한 것이 현실이다. 이에 따라 전체지사 중에서 유형별(지대별, 시설별) 대표성을 가지는 8개 지사를 표본으로 선정하여 이들 지사에 대한 현장조사 및 개별 원가구성항목에 대한 원가자료를 수집하여 연구를 진행하였으며 표본지사는 지대별로 산간부과 평야부를 대표할 수 있는 지사 중에서 규모별로 5,000ha미만과 이상으로 나누어 그 값들의 평균값에 가까운 지사군을 선정한 후 주요 농업생산기반시설수를 고려하여 선정하였다. 그 결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 산간부 5,000ha미만은 음성지사와 홍천·춘천지사 둘째, 산간부 5,000ha이상은 경주지사와 의성·군의지사 셋째, 평야부 5,000ha미만은 고창지사와 함평지사 넷째, 평야부 5,000ha이상은 서천지사와 해남지사가 선정되었다. 한국농어촌공사 전체 유지관리사업비는 연간 약 3천3백16억원으로 추정되었으며, ha당 단가는 629,632원으로 추정되었다.

속성기반 암호기술

인터넷상에서 각종 민감한 데이터들이 공유ㆍ유통되어지는 가운데 외부공격자나 내부사용자의 관리 미흡으로 인해 데이터 유출문제가 발생되고 있다. 이를 안전하게 관리하기 암호방식으로 본 논문에서는 ID기반 암호의 확장된 개념의 속성 기반 암호방식에 대해 검토한다. 그리고 속성기반 프록시 재암호화 방식도 함께 검토 하였다.

스마트 그리드의 소비자 보호를 위한 안전한 분산 데이터 관리 구조

스마트 그리드 기술은 소비자의 에너지 사용을 실시간으로 감시하고 비사용 기간 동안 차단 요구에 응답할 가정용 기기와 통신함으로써, 에너지 효율을 가정으로까지 확대해 준다. 그러나, 스마트 그리드에서 수집된 정보는 개인 정보의 라이브러리 형태가 될 것이므로 이것을 잘못 다루게 되면 소비자의 개인정보를 크게 해칠 수 있다. 소비자 중심의 투명성과 통제의 원칙이 처음부터 끝까지 필수 설계 원칙으로 취급 되지 않는다면 중대한 우려가 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 All-Or-Nothing Transform(AONT) 암호화 모드의 특성을 이용하여 스마트 그리드 환경에서의 안전한 소비자 정보보호를 제공하기 위한 효율적인 데이터 분산 보안 관리방안을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 알고리즘은 처리속도 측면에서 데이터의 고속 분산 및 복원이 가능하며, 각 비밀조각 사이즈의 총합이 평문과 동일하여 스마트 그리드 시스템의 개인 데이터 처리에 적합하다. Smart grid technology can expand energy efficiency into the home by monitoring consumer energy usage in real time and communicating with household devices that respond to demands to shut off during periods of non-use, allowing individual consumers to control their electricity usage more effectively. But, the information collected on a smart grid will form a library of personal information, the mishandling of which could be highly invasive of consumer privacy. There will be major concerns if consumer-focused principles of transparency and control are not treated as essential design principles from beginning to end. In this paper, using All-Or-Nothing Transform encryption mode for providing smart grid security, we propose efficient distributed data Management based on XOR operation. The contribution of this paper is to provide a secure algorithm that manages efficiently distributed data in the field of private data in smart grid environment.

Antidiabetic effects of trihydroxychalcone derivatives via activation of AMP-activated protein kinase

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this study, trihydroxychalcone derivatives were synthesized and evaluated for their potential antidiabetic effects in a cell-culture system and a diabetic mouse model in vivo. Some of them increased fatty acid oxidation (FAO) in C2C12 myotubes without affecting the cell viability. In addition, some trihydroxychalcone derivatives, including chalcone <B>13</B>, facilitated AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) activation. Chalcone <B>13</B> administration to high-fat diet (HFD)-induced diabetic mice improved glucose tolerance, increased muscle FAO, and reduced fat accumulation in the liver and skeletal muscles. These results suggest that some chalcone derivatives, particularly chalcone <B>13</B>, might be potential therapeutic agents for the treatment of diabetes.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

데칼린 유사체의 안정한 분자구조 계산

We have adapted MM+(molecular mechnics) force field to express the energy of decalin derivatives using HyperChem 4.5 molecular modeling software. The local(partial) charges of atoms in the molecules used to calculate electrostatic energy term in MM2 were estimated using AM1 semi-empirical quantum mechanics. We performed molecular dynamics method to simulate the behavior of these compounds. Also, we have obtained the enthalphies of the derivatives from AM1 semi-empirical calculations. The two conformations(trans, cis) of the molecule(a decalin derivative) were possible. When we performed MM+ molecular mechanics and AM1 semi-empirical calculations, the trans conformer was more stable for both methods.

Biaryl Library의 고체상 합성

Biaryl library was prepared by the solid-phase cross-coupling reaction of polymer-bound arenesulfonates with arylmagnesium bromides in the presence of nickel(0) catalyst. This approach seems to be useful for the preparation of various non-functionalized oligophenyl library on solid-phase organic synthesis(SPOS).

니켈 촉매하에서 Tosylates와 Aryl Grignard reagents의 Cross-Coupling을 이용한 Biaryls 합성

Aryl tosylates는 니켈 촉매하에서 aryl Grignard 시약과 sp²C-O 결합의 cleavage와 sp²C-S 결합의 cleavage를 통한 탄소-탄소 결합반응으로 두 종류의 biaryls를 생성한다. Neopentyl tosylates는 니켈 촉매하에서 aryl Grignard 시약과 탄소-탄소 결합반응을 통하여 한 종류의 비대칭 biaryl을 높은 수율로 생성한다. Phenyl-, p-tert-butylphenyl-, p-ethylphenyl-, p-methoxyphenyl 그리고 l-naphthyl-magnesium bromide는 neopentyl tosylates와 높은 수율로 반응을 진행하는 반면에, 입체장애가 있는 o-ethylphenyl-magnesium bromide와 vinylmagnesium bromide는 감소된 반응성을 보인다. Aryl tosylate gives two biaryls, one from the cleavage of the sp²C-O bond and the other from the cleavage of the sp²C-S bond, via Ni(o)-catalyzed carbon-carbon cross-coupling with aryl Grignard reagents. Neopentyl tosylate gives an unsymmetrical biaryl in high yield via Ni(o)-catalyzed carbon-carbon cross-coupling with aryl Grignard reagents. Phenyl-, p-tert-butyphenyl-, p-ethylphenyl-, p-methoxyphenyl-and l-naphthylmagnesium bromide react with neopentyl tosylates in high yields, while sterically hindered 0-ethylphenylmagnesium bromide and vinylmagnesium bromide show reduced reactivity.
