The present paper describes the result obtained with lymphocytes separated from the peri - pheral humam blood by the method of Kim et. al(1970) and the LDH isoenzyme pattern of lymphocytes after sonicating the cells, which showed binomial distribution of LDH1 through LDH5, showing 11, 26, 44, 14, and 5% of activities respectively, with 56.0% of the H-subunit.

연료정책에 따른 대기오염 개선효과 분석에 관한 연구 : 대구지역을 중심으로

청정연료와 저유황유의 공급확대에 따른 대구지역의 대기오염 개선효과를 분석하기 위하여 향후 1996, 2001년 대구지역의 유종별, 소비부문별 소비량을 추정하고 이에 따른 아황산가스, 분진, 질소산화물 및 일산화탄소에 대한 배출량을 각각 산정하였다. 특히 향후 대구지역 대기중 아황산가스농도에 대하여 개정된 환경기준치의 달성가능성 여부를 연간 총배출량측면에서 검토한 결과 2001년의 아황산가스 배출량이 추정된 허용배출량 이하로 떨어질 것으로 나타나 저황유의 공급과 청정연료 사용의무화정책을 현재 계획대로 추진할 경우 아황산가스 농도는 대체로 환경기준을 충분히 달성할 수 있을 것으로 판단되었다. A study was carried out to evaluate the improvement of air quality in Taegu area in the years of 1996 and 2001 with the extended supply of cleaner fuels such as town gas and low sulfur fuel oil. The emission quantities of the air pollutants from the combustion of various fuel were estimated with respect to the sections of end-use in this area. With the implementation of the planned fuel policy to this area, the level of sulfur dioxide in the ambient air will satisfy the revised ambient air quality standard based on the yearly total quantity of the sulfur dioxide emission. If the fuel policy is implemented as scheduled, the attainability of the ambient air quality standard of sulfur dioxide will be possible as the total quantity of sulfur dioxide emission will be well below of that of the predicted value obtained under current fuel policy.

간과된 건성 추지의 수술적 치료

연구목적 . 손상 후 3주 이상 경과된 건성 추지에 대하여 tuft를 만들어 주고 신전상태에서 K-강선으로 고정하는 수술적 치료 방법의 유용성을 분석하고자 하였다. 대상 및 방범: 1997년 8월부터 2001년 3월까지 본 교실에서 건성 추지로 치료받은 예 중 손상 후부터 3주 이상 경과된 환자 11예를 대상으로 하였다. 평균 추시 기간은 7개월(3개월-9개월)이었으며, 평균 연령은 19세(2년 3개월-48세)였다. 11예 중 4예는 15세 미만의 소아였다. 수상 후 수술까지 경과된 기간은 평균 12개월(3주-7년)이었다. 우측 수부가 7예였고, 좌측은 4예였다 수지 별로는 인지가 3예, 중지가 4예, 약지가 2예, 소지가 2예였다. 모든 예에서 신전건의 절단, K-강선에 의한 원위지 관절의 고정, tuft의 형성, Roll-stitch 등의 동일한 방법을 사용하였으며, 최종 추시일에 Crawford 평가방법을 사용하여 환자를 평가하였다. 결과: Crawford의 방법을 이용한 평가 결과, 11예 중 7예(64%)가 우수(Excellent)의 결과를 보였고, 3예(27%)는 우량(Good), 1예(9%)는 양호(Fair)로 판명되었다. 즉 11예 중 1예를 제외하고는 모두, 즉 91%에서 만족스런 결과를 얻었다 우량 또는 양호의 결과를 보였던 4예의 경우 수상 후 경과된 기간이 각각 4개월, 9개월, 3년, 7년으로 수상 후 경과된 기간이 길수록 결과가 나빴다. 15세 미만의 소아 4예는 모두 우수한(Excellent) 결과를 보였고, 반면에 양호로 판정된 환자는 연령이 48세로 대상 환자 중 가장 고령이었다. 손상된 수지가 좌측이거나 우측인지 여부와 몇 번째 수지인지 여부는 결과와 무관한 것으로 보인다. 성별과도 관련성을 알 수 없었다. 결론: 손상 후 상당기간이 경과한 후에도 비교적 간단한 수술 방법에 의한 치료가 가능하였으며, 결과도 만족스러웠으나, 지나치게 오래된(손상 후 수 개월 이상이 경과한) 건성 추지의 경우, 그리고 나이가 많은 경우 예후가 좋지 않다는 사실을 알게 되었다. Purpose : The authors have attempted to analyze the effectiveness of making tuft and fixing the distal interphalangeal joint in extension with a K-wire in patients whose injured finger were left over 3 weeks without treatment for the tendinous mallet finger. Materials and Methods : Eleven fingers of eleven patients were analyzed who were treated operatively from August 1997 to March 2001. The average follow-up period was 7 months(3-9 months). The average age of the patients was 19 years(2 years 3 months-48 years) Four out of the 11 cases were children under age of 15. The average duration between injury and operation was 12 months(3 weeks-7 years) . All cases were treated by only one surgeon(Seo, JB) and with same procedure, just cutting and reattaching the extensor tendon tightly(tuft) and fixing the joint in extension. Crawford method was used for evaluating the patients. Results : Ten out of eleven patients(91%) came out to be satisfactory according to Crawford method. Excellent in 7 cases, good in 3, fair in 1, respectively. Four patients whose duration between injury and surgery seemed to be too long(4 months, 9 months, 3 years, 7 years respectively), have not showed excellent results. Excellent results were reported in all children. On the contrary, the age of the patient who had the poorest result was 48 years(the oldest in our series) Which hands or which fingers were injured seemed to have not made any differences. So as the surgery was performed earlier and the patients were younger, the results were better. Conclusion : We advocate that it is possible to treat operatively and to get good results in Patients with neglected mallet finger deformities. But it should be emphasized that the earlier the operation is performed, and the younger the patients are, the better the results are.

This paper examined the existance behavior of charged particles by measuring polarity inversion current Thermally Stimulate Current (TSC) and analyed appearance mechanism of polarity inversion current peak and also investigated relation between ionic space charge formation and dielectric breakdown by measuring D.C breakdown impulse breakdown D.C-impulse superposition as a sample of PET. As a result, we found that dielectric breakdown is likely to happen due to ionic space charge at the transient state when applied polarity inversion voltage and that charged partion of TSC peak at the high temperature was the same as that of polarity inversion current. Also there was no effect on ionic space charge about the dielectric breakdown in stationary state when applied D.C voltage.

모반세포성 모반과 악성 흑색종의 CD44 발현에 관한 면역조직화학적 연구

CD44 is the major human cell surface receptor for hyaluronate and mediate cellmatrix and cell-cell interactions involved in the mechanisms of tumor invasion and metastasis. Typical acquired melanocytic nevi appear to follow a life cycle characterized by active growth, maturation, and progressive involution, In contrast, congenital melanocytic nevi have a different course and prognosis with potential for development of melanoma, and metastatic spread is very common in malignant melanoma. We investigated the expression of CD44 in acquired and congenital melanocytic nevi, and malignant melanoma by immunohistochemical technique. Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embeded tissue from 5 compound nevi, 6 intradermal nevi, 5 congenital melanocytic nevi, and 5 malignant melanoma were immunolabeled with monoclonal antibodies directed against CD44. All acquired melanocytic nevi showed negative or weak staining for CD44. However, all congenital melanocytic nevi exhibited positive staining for CD44 with minimal irregularities according to location. In malignant melanoma, there was variable intensity of staining for CD44 in different areas of the tumor. These findings suggest that the different expression of CD44 in melanocytic nevi may contribute to different biological behavior between acquired and congenital meanocytic nevi. and CD44 seems to be related to metastasis and tumorigenesis of the malignant melanoma.

The strength of one nation is the very foundation of its development and it is thought to be determined by the constitution of its young generations. Since 1973 Tae-kwon-do has played an important part in the elementary school curriculum to promote their health and physical strength. This study focused an eye on various problems in teaching Tae-kwon-do with regard to its influences on the physical development of the young ones. The population selected of this study is 1733 male students (age10 in 1972), among whom 85 are sampled. comparing with their hpysiques and hpysical strength after one whole year according to the "General outline of testing strength: the Ministry of Education", this study has concluded that Tae-kwon-do teaching is sure to promote the physical standard of a nation. 1) Physique The samples have developed in height and weight more than the population. On the contrary the chest girth of the samples were less than that of population. This phenomenon has resulted from the basic patterns of motion which have no relation with muscles both of the chest and of the torso. 2) Physical Strength In the test mentioned above, the sample students have developed more than the population in 7 among 8 items. The excluded item is runway broad jumping--3.3cm difference-. This item has close relation with the to-and-fro flection of the waist, while most of the patterns of Tae-kwon-do put stress on the twisting motion of the waist. It is desirable that some supplementary exercises-the to-and-fro flection-should be given to compensate the above defects, to give strength and health to the students who are expected to lead the future of our nation to the better in the world.

海洋 動植物 中 有機鹽素系 農藥의 殘留分析

To obtain the residual pesticides in the coastal environment, analysis of residual organochlorine pesticides in the plant and animals on the ocean environment are surveyed. The plate height(H) on the GC-ECD is 5.16 of daconil, 5.35 of kelthane and 1.36 of orthocide. The number of theoretica] plates(N) for daconil, kelthane and orthocide is 484, 467 and 1830, respectively. Ihe resolution of daconil and kelthane is 1.658, which separate on the base line. The resolution of kelthane and orthocide is 0.688, which not separate on the base line. The detection limit on the GC-ECD is 0.55pg of daconil, 2.32pg of kelthane and 0.96pg of orthodde. The qualified defection concentration of daconil, kelthane and orthodde in the plant and animal is 0.020ng/g, 0.092ng/g and 0.036ng/g, respectively. Daconil, kelthane and orthocide of pesticides used in the fann on the Cheju Island are not detected seaweed cava(Eck1onia Cava), Agar(Ge1idium amansii), turban sell(Batillus cornutus) and sea urchin(Anthocidaris crassispina).
