The fad word ``Eu-ri`` has swept across Korea last year. ``Eu-ri`` has been originally used by actor Bo-sung Kim SInce long time ago, but comedian Kuk-ju Lee adapted the fad word at a gag program. Many commercial films are based on the fad word ``Eu-ri`` nowadays. But Bo-sung Kim gets a lot of chances to take a commercial film, although Kuk-ju Lee did an important role on the popularity of the fad word ``Eu-ri``. Besides, Bo-sung Kim doesn``t use the fad word like he has used till now, but borrows Kuk-ju Lee``s style. After focusing on the fact that Lee parodied Kim``s fad word and Kim took many commercial films due to the popularity of the fad word made by Lee, each facts are analyzed from the aspects of each law. From the Copyright Law``s View, copyright cannot be recognized on the fad word ``Eu-ri`` itself. It is required to attain the high extent of creativity to have the valid copyright under the Continental Law system. But fad words, which are too short to contain any value in the usage, barely are recognized to attain copyright. No problem arise from the aspect of demonstration imitation either. Intangible imitation is not acknowledged at Korea. Lee``s parody and Kim``s act on commercial films are also their own demonstration. Besides, the fact that ordinary people might not confuse between Kim and Lee can also be considered, as well as Lee``s creative effort is reflected on the parody. From the Publicity Right``s view. Lee and Kim doesn``t seem to infringe each other``s right. Because not only parody only take a little possession of whole performance but also it IS hard to say that the value is diluted due to repeated exposure. From the Unfair Competition Prevention and Trade Secret Protection Act``s view, Kim``s decision to take commercial films might cause problems. Lee``s parody on the gag program doesn``t consist the competition between Kim. But Kim``s acting similar character with Lee on commercial films might cause unfair competition. Especially, according to the general article which is introduced February 2014, taking commercial film can be categorized as one part of celebrity``s business, and Kim``s taking commercial films can be seem as hijacking a popularity of Lee``s comedy. Taking economic benefit by imitating celebrity``s performance is becoming a serious problem in Korea. Other than Kim``s episode, radio advertisement which imitates fad word was pointed out to infringe celebrity``s right. Adopting the logic which is similar to overtaking right can be also considered as a good method to protect celbrity``s right about their performance.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>To determine distributions, bioaccumulation, and trophic transfer of freshwater cyanobacterial toxins such as microcystins (MCs), surface water, suspended solids, sediments, and coastal organisms were collected from seven stations in inner and outer regions of the estuary dam in the Geum River Estuary in June and July 2017. Concentrations of MC variants (MC-LR, -RR, and -YR) in the multimedia samples were analyzed using a HPLC-MS/MS. Trophic position (TP) of organisms (fish, bivalve, gastropod, decapod, and polychaete) was determined by nitrogen stable isotope analyses of both bulk tissues and amino acids. From July to August 2017, great concentrations of MCs were detected in discharged freshwater ranging from 0.4 to 75 μg L<SUP>−1</SUP>. Considerable amounts of MCs are delivered to the Geum River Estuary in summer season. MCs spread far away as dissolved phases (18.7–49.5 ng L<SUP>−1</SUP>) in July when large amount of freshwater was discharged during the rainy season. Concentrations of MCs in marine organisms varied among species, ranging from 40 to 870 ng g<SUP>−1</SUP> dw. Bioaccumulated MCs tend to decrease with increasing TP of organisms, suggesting that MCs are biodiluted through the marine food web. Compound-specific isotope analysis (nitrogen of amino acids) provides more reliable TPs compared with those by bulk isotope analysis in a closed estuary (such as the Geum River Estuary) with large fluctuations in the isotope ratio of primary producers.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Great concentrations of MCs are detected in discharged freshwater via the estuary dam. </LI> <LI> The MCs well dissolve in water when they entered the coastal ecosystem. </LI> <LI> MC-LR is the most abundant among three MCs variants in coastal organisms. </LI> <LI> Bioaccumulated MCs decrease with increasing trophic positions of organisms. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>
Evaluating MR-GPR and MR-NN: An Exploration of Data-driven Control Methods for Nonlinear Systems

This paper addresses the challenge of data-driven control of nonlinear systems, focusing on the limitations and capabilities of model reference Gaussian process regression (MR-GPR) and its evolved counterpart, model reference neural networks (MR-NN). MR-GPR, based on Gaussian processes renowned for their adaptability to diverse data structures, encounters scalability issues especially when handling large datasets. To address these limitations, this paper introduces MR-NN, an extension of MR-GPR, leveraging neural networks (NN) to manage large datasets and capture complex nonlinear dynamics effectively. We present a comprehensive evaluation of both methods through a classical control problem of the inverted pendulum, a system well-recognized for its nonlinear behavior. Numerical experiments are conducted to compare the methods in terms of control performance, computational efficiency, and reliability.
Growth of Sheet-like ZnO Nanostructures on ZnO nano rods using Chemical Bath Deposition

We demonstrate the growth of a sheet-like ZnO membrane on ZnO nano rod layers. The growth process is composed of 3 steps of ZnO seed formation, ZnO nano rod growth and sheet-like ZnO membrane formation on those nano rods. To confirm the fundamental growth mechanism, the lattice structures of each step were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) measurement. Analysis of the relation between the texture coefficient and the surface shape of the ZnO membrane on the ZnO nano rods shows that the surface morphology of ZnO nano structures can be controlled using the temperature of the growing solution and the concentration of the chemical solution.
Arbitrarily large gain/phase margin can be achieved by DOB-based controller

In this paper, we prove that the DOB-based feedback controller can guarantee arbitrarily large but bounded gain margin and phase margin. This fact reminds that the DOB-based controller plays the role of robust controller even in the classical sense. We present a design procedure that ensures desired gain/phase margin even for the plants that have parametric uncertainty.
