본 논문에서는 AR 보드 게임을 위한 FTIR 방식의 멀티 터치 스크린 시스템을 제안한다. 기존 보드 게임은 카드의 정보나 위치등 다양한 정보를 보여주면서 사용자와의 상호작용에 있어서 버튼과 같은 단순한 형태의 입력을 요구한다. 이러한 낮은 상호작용을 보완하기 위해서 다양한 형태의 패턴 등을 입력할 수 있는 멀티 터치 스크린 시스템을 적용한 텐저블 사용자 인터페이스를 제공하여 사용자로 하여금 더 많은 상호작용과 높은 몰입감을 제공하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템은 다음과 같이 구성된다. 먼저, 텐저블 사용자 인터페이스를 위해서 Jefferson Y. Han이 제안한 시스템과 유사한 형태의 FTIR 방식의 멀티 터치 스크린을 테이블 탑 형태로 제작한다. 또한, 스크린 위의 카드를 인식하기 위해서 특정한 모양의 패턴을 적용한 적외선 반사지를 카드에 입힌 후, DI 방식을 사용하여 카드의 고유한 정보를 인식할 수 있도록 하였다. 마지막으로 사용자에게 인터페이스의 확장뿐만 아니라 시각적으로 높은 몰입감을 제공하기 위해 Bimber가 제안한 Virtual Showcase를 적용하였다. 이러한 시스템을 통해 사용자는 이전의 단조로운 형태의 게임에서 벗어나 훨씬 다양하고 높은 몰입감을 즐길 수 있게 되었다.

<P>Wireless power transfer (WPT) systems using a coupled magnetic resonance have to overcome the frequency splitting phenomenon for a certain distance in order to achieve the best efficiency. In this reported work, a simple and effective method is demonstrated to overcome the frequency splitting for an optimal efficiency, regardless of the distance variation while maintaining the single desired operating frequency. Then, the systems do not need complicated frequency adjustment systems to track the split frequency. For the proposed method, the equivalent circuit parameters of the WPT system are extracted to overcome the frequency splitting by using the genetic algorithm (GA). Then, two adjustable capacitors are added at the source and the load with the optimal values calculated by the GA, again, at the desired operating frequency for the optimal efficiency.</P>

<P>Chemically modified graphene (CMG) nanoplatelets have shown great promise in various applications due to their electrical properties and high surface area. Chemical doping is one of the most effective methods to tune the electronic properties of graphene materials. In this work, novel B-doped nanoplatelets (borane-reduced graphene oxide, B-rG-O) were produced on a large scale <I>via</I> the reduction of graphene oxide by a borane-tetrahydrofuran adduct under reflux, and their use for supercapacitor electrodes was studied. This is the first report on the production of B-doped graphene nanoplatelets from a solution process and on the use of B-doped graphene materials in supercapacitors. The B-rG-O had a high specific surface area of 466 m<SUP>2</SUP>/g and showed excellent supercapacitor performance including a high specific capacitance of 200 F/g in aqueous electrolyte as well as superior surface area-normalized capacitance to typical carbon-based supercapacitor materials and good stability after 4500 cycles. Smartphone Color-Code based Gate Security Control

Smart building gate security control system using smartphone integrated with near field communication (NFC) has become part of daily life usage these days. The technology change in replacing RF NFC device using visible light communication technology based approach growing faster in recent days. This paper propose a design and development of gate security control system using color code based user authentication ID generation as part of an intelligent access control system to control automatic door open and close. In this approach gate security access control use the recent visible light communication technology trends to transfer the user specific authentication code to door access control system using color code on smartphone screen. Using a camera in the door access control system (ACS), color codes on smartphone screens are detected and matched to the database of authenticated user to open the door automatically in gate security system. We measure the visual light communication technology efficiency as a part of the research and the experiments have revealed that more than 95% users authenticated correctly at the suggested experiment environment on gate security control system.

We investigated the effects of hydrogen and temperature on hydrogen embrittlement (HE) of cold-rolled equimolar CoCrFeMnNihigh-entropy alloy (HEA). The HE exhibited intergranular fracture in this HEA at 298 and 177 K. At 177 K, moretwins formed than at 298 K, and this acted as a hydrogen-diffusion path. During deformation, local stress was concentratedat the triple junction consisting of grain and twin boundaries. Hydrogen diffused predominantly along the boundary andencountered stress-concentration regions. Cracks initiated and propagated predominantly through the grain/twin boundariesby hydrogen diffusion at 298 and 177 K. Therefore, HE occurred at 298 and 177 K. At 77 K, hydrogen was distributedthroughout the specimen as twin formation was more active. The cryogenic temperature of 77 K caused the hydrogen tobecome trapped and thus not diffuse into the stress-concentration region. Thus, there was no significant HE at 77 K.

Background: Increased pricing of cigarettes might be one of the most effective approaches for reducing the prevalence of smoking. This study aimed to investigate the effects of increasing cigarette prices through taxation by a tobacco intervention policy on the changes in smoking prevalence in Korean university students. Materials and Methods: The participants in this study were 23,047 healthy university students aged 18-29 years from a health examination in 2011-2015. We investigated the adjusted prevalence of daily and occasional smoking before and after increasing cigarette prices through taxation. Results: The prevalence of occasional smoking was significantly decreased in 2015 from 2014 in both male (from 10.7% in 2014 to 5.4%) and female (from 3.6% to 1.1%) students, but the prevalence of daily smoking did not decrease significantly. The frequency of individuals who had attempted smoking cessation during the past year was significantly higher among occasional smokers in male students (90.2%) compared with daily smokers (64.9%). For female students, there were no differences in experience of smoking cessation, willingness for smoking cessation, or E-cigarette experience between daily and occasional smokers. Conclusions: We found that a policy of increasing cigarette prices through taxation is associated with decreases in the prevalence of occasional smokers, who have relatively lower nicotine dependence compared with individuals who smoke daily. The results of our study suggest that social support and direct intervention for smoking cessation at the community level are needed for university students alongside the pricing policy.
