The purpose of this experimental study is to increase the strength of mortar mixed with activated Hwang-Toh (AHT) and granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) as a compound for the development of eco-friendly concrete. The compressive strength test was carried out by making mortar specimens with a certain ratio of AHT and GGBS. The percentage of AHT were at 30% and 50% and the GGBS were a 40% and 50% as Major variables. The results of this study showed that for specimens with percentage of AHT at 30% with GGBS increased above the strength of the mortar without the binding. However, the compressive strength of experimentation with percentage of AHT at 50% with partially replace GGBS has decreased by more than the mortar without the binding. Therefore, further study is deemed necessary.

A conceptual design for the development of a remote structural monitoring system is presented in this study. First of all, to satisfy the engineering and customer requirements, requirements/functional analysis for the remote structural monitoring systems are performed in context of the systems approach. The problem definition is given, And the market competitors are analyzed by benchmarking and the alternatives are evaluated. Based on the informations from the above stage, the key elements of the systems are extracted through the functional decomposition and the schematic specifications are described.

The structural system identification using neural networks is presented in this study. Among the neural networks, backpropagation neural network is adopted to fulfill the damage assessment. When the damages occur, the structural responses are changed and the responses contain the damage locations and extents. The static displacements of the truss structure are induced by the various damage states under the static load. In the neural networks the displaces are the inputs and the damage locations and extents are the outputs. The simulation informs that it is efficient to apply the neural network to the damage detection.

In this paper the functional requirements of a B-ISDN access network based on MAN are investigated . Firstly, criteria of designing access network for the B-ISDN is studied. Secondly, the types of subscribers and their service requirements are defined. Thirdly, various artchitectures of CPNs(Customer Premises Networks) are considered and their characteristics are studied, Finally, the interworking funtions of a DQDB MAN as an access network are investigated.

Fractal coding is a promising method for image compression, but it has not lived up to its promise as low bit-rate image compression scheme. The existing algorithms for finding self-mapping contractive transforms are computationally expensive and offer a poor rate-quality tradeoff. In this paper, we propose a segment based fractal coding. We classify the range blocks into shade, midrange or edge blocks, and segment edge block along the edge. And we apply midrange coding scheme for each segment. Our experiments show that our method gives better rate-qualty trade of than current fractal block coding methods.

In this paper, we present the impelmentation and experimental analysis of a real time multimedia service system. The system can play the MPEG video/audio and text caption on the Internet environment in real time. The software feedback mechanism is adopted for client/server synchronization, QoS control. and system adaptiveness. Our experimental study shows that the system performs very well in the Internet environment.
캐쉬를 이용한 RAID5상에서 작은 쓰기 문제의 성능 분석

In this paper we evaluate the performance of the cached RAID5 which uses the parity cache and the data cache to overcome the small write problem. From the result of the simulation study we show that the cached RAID5 provides performance improvement with reasonable cache size.

The purpose of this study is to compare the compression strength of gypsum substituted mortar with that of mortar. After replacing the cement with the loess, a portion of the remaining cement was replaced with gypsum to make specimens. When the gypsum is replaced, the strength of all the specimens is lower than that of the standard specimen. It is necessary to use a long-term strength mixed material to replace this.

In this paper, we propose a new patching scheme for improving the typical patching technique by jointly using the proxy prefix caching and the client buffer expanding techniques. Our proposed scheme extends the patching window size by caching the prefix of the video in proxy. We also expand the client buffer space into the proxy buffer for storing and sharing the overflowed streams from the client buffers. Due to the extended patching window size and the prefix in the proxy, the server bandwidth is required significantly less than that of the typical patching technique. In the performance study, we show that our patching scheme can reduce the server bandwidth requirements with having less buffer capacity than the existing patching techniques.
