        긴장증의 임상적 특성에 대한 고찰

        26 cases(9 males and 17 females) with catatonia features on admission were analyzed in terms of its clinical characteristics. The results obtained were as follows : 1) In the diagnostic distribution, more than a half of the cases were schizophrenic disorders(57.5%) and the others were major depressions(26.9%) and schizophreniform disorders(15.4%). 2) The catatonia signs were nonspecific and evenly distributed among a variety of clinical diagnostic entities. But the signs of negativism, mutism, and posturing appeared frequently in all cases. 3) Acute onset was prevalent(65.4%), ECT was more frequently applied(61.5%) and treatment response was better(70.9%) in the catatonia group than non-catatonia. Although the definition of catatonia is not clear yet, above results support the opinions of previous studies that catatonia should be understood as a heterogenous symptom complex. And not only schizophrenia but also affective disorder are associated with catatonia features. This suggests that we have to re-evaluate the concept of Kahlbaum's old description.

      • 금속사출성형에 의한 중합금 소결체 부품 제조에 관한 연구

        In this study we demonstrate that a small complex part of a tungsten-based heavy alloy (W-Ni-Cu) can be readily manufactured by utilizing the metal injection molding (MIM) technology. We use a simple thermoplastic binder system, containing low density polyethylene, paraffin wax, and stearic acid. To remove the organic binder from the molded part, we employ the solvent extraction and thermal debinding processes. Densification of debound parts is achieved by sintering in hydrogen atmosphere. The experimental results of the optimization of process variables to manufacture the heavy alloy part are described, with a brief discussion.

        This paper describes the development of sputtered tungsten electrode for discharge tube by making use of Sputtering method using plasma. The Xe discharge tube was designed and fabricated by using sputtered tungsten electrode, and the ICCD(Intensified Charged Coupled Device) and monochromator were used in order to observe the discharge image distribution and to measure the signal intensity. As a result, the emission light form the electrode was spreaded almost uniformly over a wide wavelength band, and the discharge image distribution and the signal intensity show quite a uniform distribution. The emission light from the Xe discharge tube was peaked at 488[nm] and 648[nm].

      • 간접적응 신경회로망을 이용한 안테나 축받이 시스템의 안정화

        In this paper, the stabilization control problems of antenna pedestal system under the parametric variations and non-linearities such as gravity torque and under external disturbances were described. The proposed controller could stabilize the given antenna system by an indirect adaptive neural network controller. The proposed indirect adaptive neural network controller was consist of an indirect off-line model identifier by neural network and an adaptive on-line neural network controller, based on the reference model and the least square method. The designed controller was applied to an stabilization control of Inmarsat-M antenna pedestal system with the azimuth and the elevation axis. The simulation results were desirable and were superior to the conventional PID controller tuned by Ziegler-Nichols' method.

        항정신병 약물이 Cyclooxygenase-2 유전자 발현과 Prostaglandin E_2 농도에 미치는 영향

        Objectives : Cyclooxygenase(COX) is the central enzyme in the biosynthetic pathway to prostaglandins from arachidonic acids. The action mechanism of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs is through inhibition of COX activity and prostanoid biosynthesis including prostaglandin E_2(PGE_2). The antipsychotic drugs are known having an analgesic effects, however its mechanisms of actions of action to pain control was not still clearly proved. In the present study, the effects of antipsychotic drugs(chlorpromazie and clozapine) on the production of PGE_2 and the expression of COX-2mRNA and protein in P815 cell line were studied. Methods : For that purpose, the methods of RT-PCR, western blot and prostagalndin E_2 enzymeimmunoassay were applied. Results : The results showed tha tin P815 cells treated with chlorpromazine, the level of COX2 mRNA was significantly decreased compared to the control cells. And total cellular PGE_2 levels were significantly decreased after treatment with chlorpromazine and clozapine. Conclusion : These results suggest that antipsychotic drugs have revealed their analgesic effect through the inhibition of COX-2 activity and PGE_2 production. And also, these results partly supports the excess theory of prostaglangdins in the pathogenesis of schizophrenia.

        국내에서 채집한 진드기에서 중합효소연쇄반응을 이용한 라임병균 및 Ehrlichiosis 원인체의 검출

        국내에서 채집한 진드기의 라임병 및 ehrlichiosis원인체 보균 상태를 조사하기 위하여 총 516마리 (Ixodes spp. 22마리, Haemaphysalis spp. 494마리)의 ixodid 진드기를 봄과 가을에 걸쳐 강원도 고산지대 일원에서 채집하였다. 수집한 진드기에서 DNA를 추출 ·정제한 후 추출한 DNA를 template로 이용하여 , Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato 및 Ehrlichia spp.에 특이하게 반응하도록 제작한 primer를 이용한 중합효소연쇄반응 (polymerase chain reaction, PCR)을 실시하였으며, 이 결과를 oligonucleotide probe를 사용한 southern blotting을 통하여 다시 확인하였다. 총 516마리의 진드기중 B.garinii sensu lato DNA 양성 인 진드기는 68(13.2%)마리 (B. burgdorferi sensu stricto,2; B. afzelii,1; B. garinii,33; B.tanukii,8; B.turdae, 4)로 나타났으며 이 중 37 (7.2%)마리의 진드기 는 southern blot analysis에서도 양성으로 확인되었다. 또한 101 (19.2%)마리의 진드기가 Ehrlichia spp.에 대한 PCR에서 양성 이었으나, 이들 중 25 (4.8%)마리 만이 southern blot analysis에서 양성으로 확인되었다. 그러나 사람의 병인체로 추정 되는 human granulocytic ehrlichiosis (HGE) agent DNA를 보균한 진드기는 확인되지 않았다. 한편 라임병균과 ehrlichiosis원인체를 동시에 보균한 것으로 밝혀진 진드기가 3마리에서 (0.6%)확인되어,국내에서도 진드기 교상시 이들 두 가지 열성질환이 동시에 감염될 가능성이 있는 것으로 사료됨으로 진드기 매개성 열성질환에 대한 적절한 진단법 등을 보다 체계적으로 연구하여야 할 것으로 판단된다. To investigate the distribution of Borrelia Burgdorferi and human granulocytic ehrlichiosis(HGE) agent in ticks, adult ixodid ticks of Ixodes spp. and Haemaphysalis spp. were collected from the high mountain areas of Kangwon Province. Using DNAs extracted and purified in the collected ticks, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was performed to amplify the specific nucleotide sequences of both agents. Of the 516 ticks, a total of 68 (13.2%) ticks was positive for Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato with PCR analysis (2 for B. burgdorferi sensu stricto; 1 for B. afzelii; 33 for B. garinii; 8 for B.tanukii; 4 for B. turdae). However a little more than half of PCR-positive ticks (37/68) was found to be positive in the southern blot analysis with Bl6S oligonucleotide probe. One hundred and one (19.2%) ticks were positive for Ehrlichia spp. in PCR, and a quarter of them (25/101) was positive in southern blot with E16S oligonucleotide probe. But none of them was found to be the DNA of HGE agent. And 0.6% (3/516) ticks were positive for both of B. burgdorferi sensu lato and Ehrlichia spp. These findings might implicate the possibility of the outbreak of lyme borreliosis and ehrlichiosis in Korea, and more extensive studies may be need for the diagnosis of multiple tick-borne diseases.

        Current Situation and Improvement Strategies on the Philippines Rice Industry

        1. 쌀은 필리핀의 주식이기 때문에 쌀 가격의 작은 변화는 필리핀인들의 삶에 심각한 영향을 준다. 필리핀은 1870년대 이후 쌀의 순수입국이었다. 2. 최근에는 필리핀이 매년 약 200만 톤의 쌀을 수입하고 있다. 이와 같은 상황은 최근에 한국과 같은 쌀 수입국들에 참고가 될 수 있는 여러 가지 이유 때문에 악화되었다. 3. 벼의 관개농지는 필리핀 전체 벼 재배면적 430만ha의 1/3이 조금 넘는 수준이다. 따라서 최근 10년간 쌀의 평균수량은 정미 2,324 kg/ha 수준이다. 비료와 수송 및 기타 재료와 같은 상대적 재료비는 정미의 생산비를 인상시켜서 $0.33 /kg 수준이다. 4. 필리핀 쌀 산업을 발전시켜 외국쌀의 수입을 감축하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 과감한 R&D 투자가 이뤄져야 한다. 또한 관개시설과 과학영농, 하부구조 등의 향상이 절실하다. 관개지에서의 쌀 생산성이 천수답에 비하여 평균 40% 이상 높기 때문에 관개시설에 대한 투자가 매우 중요하다. 5. 균형 잡힌 식량경제를 위해서는 빠른 인구증가율의 둔화도 필요하다. 6. 최근에 많은 옥수수 소비자들이 쌀의 소비자로 전이되고 있다. 이러한 현상은 옥수수의 식품으로서의 맛이 개량되거나 요리법의 개선이 요구되며 밭벼, 찰옥수수, 카사바등의 식용을 확대할 필요가 있다. 7. 전국적으로 7,107개의 섬에 흩어져 있는 주민들에게 쌀을 보다 저렴한 비용으로 공급하기 위해서는 효율적인 쌀의 유통구조로 변혁이 실현되어야 한다. Since rice is the staple food in the Philippines, a slight change in the price of rice will greatly affect the life of the Filipinos. The Philippines have been a net importer of rice ever since 1870s. This rice situation has been getting worse in recent years due to many reasons that may give some hints to rice importing countries like Korea. The Philippines have imported about 2.0 million MT per year recently. Irrigational land accounts for slightly more than 1/3 of total rice acreage of 4.3 million ha. Average yield of rice has been about 2,324 kg/ha in milled basis during the last decade. Relatively higher factor costs such as fertilizers, transportation and other materials contribute to higher production costs leading to $0.33 /kg in milled basis. In order to promote the rice industry and reduce foreign import, rigorous investments in R&D should be made among other things. Proper post-harvest handling and technologies are needed so as to reduce losses and improve the rice quality. Also improvements in irrigational system, scientific farming, infrastructure, etc. are necessary. On demand side, rapid growth rate of population should be curved down for the balanced food economy. Finally, efficient rice marketing is needed in order to distribute rice at cheaper costs to the residents of 7,107 islands.
