남북한 언론이 재구성한 평화 담론의 비판적 분석 : 괴리된 이상(理想)과 분단체제의 지속

이 연구의 목적은 한반도 평화에 대한 남북한 언론 보도를 분석해 담론의 의미를 비판적으로 검토하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 요한 갈퉁(Johan Galtung)이 제시한 ‘소극적 평화’와 ‘적극적 평화’ 개념을 활용했으며, 연구방법으로 노먼 페어클러프(Norman Fairclough)의 비판적 담론 분석(Critical Discourse Analysis, CDA)을 적용했다. 분석 기간은 한반도 정세가 급격히 변화되었던 2018년이다. 세 차례 남북정상회담과 사상 첫 북미정상회담은 한반도 평화 조성에 중대한 의미를 준 사건으로 판단했기 때문이다. 분석 매체는 <로동신문>과 <조선일보>, <한겨레>다. 분석결과, 언론이 재구성한 평화 담론에는 다양성이 결여된 것으로 나타났다. 대신에 특정 사건(평창 동계올림픽·정상회담), 의제(비핵화·대북제재), 정치적 공방(정치권·국가별) 등을 주로 다루었다. 당파적이면서, 상대에 대한 인정 부재도 두드러졌다. 본 연구는 평화에 대한 남북한 언론의 현실 구성이 대중이 일반적으로 생각하는 ‘평온한 삶’과 괴리가 있다고 보고, 서로에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓혀야 한다고 제안한다. The purpose of this study is to critically examine the meaning of discourse by analyzing the North and South Korean media reports on peace on the Korean Peninsula. To this end, this study used the concepts of ‘Passive Peace’ and ‘Positive Peace’ suggested by Johan Galtung, and it applied Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) as a research method. The analysis period was set to 2018, the period of rapidly changing situation on the Korean Peninsula, because the study determined three inter-Korean summits and the first US-DPRK summit in history as events that had a significant impact on the creation of peace on the Korean Peninsula. The media analyzed were “The Rodong Sinmun,” “The Chosun Ilbo,” and “The Hankyoreh.” The analysis results showed that both media lacked diversity in peace discourse it reconstructed, but instead, they mainly covered specific events (2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, Summit meetings), agendas (denuclearization and sanctions against North Korea), and political battles (political circles and countries). The media reports were partisan and notably lacked acknowledgement for the opponent at the same time. This study sees that the reality composed by North and South Korean media on peace is different from the ‘peaceful life’ generally viewed by the public, and it suggests that both should broaden their understanding of each other.

Urbanization is a driving force of global biodiversity changes, and species that successfully adapt to city environments can become pests with the assistance of human factors. Here we present the first genomic data of Plecia longiforceps, an invasive pest exhibiting intensive outbreaks in the Seoul Metropolitan Area of Korea. HiFi and Pore-C sequencing data were used to construct a highly continuous genome assembly with a total size of 707 Mb and 8 major pseudochromosomes. Gene annotation using transcriptome data and ab initio predictions revealed significant numbers of genes related to detoxification and heat tolerance. Comparison to the Bibio marci genome showed high levels of synteny with some regions of chromosomal rearrangement. Our data will serve as an essential resource for population and functional genomic studies on dispersal and outbreaks of P. longiforceps, and facilitate research on eco-evolutionary processes of dipterans in urbanizing habitats.
First records of Clusia Haliday and Clusiodes Coquillett (Diptera: Clusiidae) from Korea

This study reports the first Korean records of the genera Clusia Haliday and Clusiodes Coquillett (Diptera: Clu siidae), with four newly recorded species, Clusia intermedialis (Mamaev), Clusia nigromaculata (Mamaev), Clusia unita Mamaev, and Clusiodes flaveolus Mamaev. Morphological diagnosis is provided with a key to Korean Clu siidae. The mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase I (COI) gene sequences of Clusia and Clusiodes are analyzed for DNA barcoding. Molecular analyses of both genera result in well-defined species clusters with significant barcode gaps, and also identify problematic data in the public database.

Nowadays, many manufacturing companies design, engineer, and produce their products through a globally distributed supply chain. In the automotive industry, globalization of the supply chain is expanding and becoming more complicated under increasing global competition and demand for reduction in production costs. Under such circumstances, automotive parts manufacturers are making efforts to implement smart manufacturing (SM) system that ensures the production of products with reasonable prices and high quality, while meeting the needs of various customers. To implement SM, a production line must be smart based on data from manufacturing sites through the application and convergence of technologies such as cyber-physical system(CPS) and digital twin. With the application of such technologies, it is possible to achieve faster and more accurate decision-making and more efficient utilization of manufacturing resources. In addition, a CPS-based integrated platform is needed to link and integrate data with the distributed manufacturing environment composed of heterogeneous facilities. By utilizing this, it is possible to implement and operate a production system that can flexibly respond to various external changes. In this paper, we propose a methodology for design, implementation and application of CPS platform-based digital twin that meets global standards for SM of global automotive parts manufacturers.
