      • Yield of Rice Affected by Meteorological Elements in Yeosu Area of Korea

        This study was conducted to investigate the relationships between yearly variations of meteorological elements and yearly variations of productivity in rice. In addition, correlation coefficients among yield and yield components were used to find out the relationships between meteorological elements and productivity. Yearly variation of the mean air temperature in May was large with coefficients of variation(C.V.) of 25.0%, but the variation of the duration of sunshine in May were relative small. No. of panicles per hill and 1,000 grains wt. of brown rice were great with C.V. of 21.1, 19.7%, respectively, brown rice yield show more or less C.V. of 5.5% and milled rice show still less variation. Correlation coefficients between temperatures in period of cultivation from May and yield were positive correlations. Correlation Coefficients between precipitation in period of cultivation from Sep. to Oct. and yield are positive correlations. Correlation coefficients amount the panicle length, no. of panicles, no. of spikelets, ratio of ripened grains, 1,000 grains wt. of brown rice, milled rice yield, brown rice yield and milled rice yield were positively significant at the level of 1 %, respectively.

      • 중부지역 옥수수 파종기에 따른 생육단계 및 수량성 변화

        Maize hybrids were planted on April 1, April 25, May 20 and June 15 in 2012, 2013 at the experimental paddy and upland fields in Suwon city , respectively to know changes of growth stage and yield according to different planting time. Maize planting on April 1 was not recommended because total growing days at planting on April 1 was not different with that at planting on April 25 due to many days from planting to emergence over 20 days at planting on April 1. Total growing days were not much different among three planting time after April 25 because days from silking to maturity was lengthened though days from planting to silking was shortened at later planting time. Stalk weight was decreased as planting time was delayed, particularly at planting times after May 20 at paddy field by excess water injury during early growth stage. But, grain yield was not low as in May and June. It is needed to introduce early maturity maize variety as Yanganok at late planting for higher grain yield and enough time for soil preparation for next winter crops

        노인전문요양시설의 거주단위 모형개발에 관한 연구

        With its rapid modernization and unparalleled speed of aging, South Korea faces the need for dramatic increase in its supply of nursing homes. Among the spacial components of nursing homes, residential units are considered as an essential part because the older person in nursing homes usually spend most of their time in residential units and the nursing homes are mainly composed of various residential units. It is necessary, therefore, to prepare a guideline for the plan of residential units in order to design the healthy and efficient nursing homes. This paper has first identified the concept of residential unit and analyzed 66 cases in the 62 nursing homes from 4 countries. And 4 nursing homes in Korea have been surveyed for the in-depth study. On the basis of this analysis, architectural prototypes of residential units have been proposed and the architectural characteristics of them have been compared analytically.

      • Effect of Fertilizer Levels on Growth Characters, Dry Matter Yield and Nutrient Quality of Forage Rape in Spring Sowing

        To find out the optimum fertilizer level for high yielding variety, Velox, experiment was conducted with 15 compositions of fertilizer levels at the experiment field of forage crop in Sunchon National University from Mar. 2000 to Aug. 2000. The effects of nitrogen fertilizer on plant growth were significant but increasing rate of application in potassium and phosphate fertilizers above 6 kg/a had negligible effects on plant growth. The optimum nitrogen application level of fertilizers turned out to be 16-6-6 kg/l0a of N-P2O5-K5O. Content of crude protein was highest and that of crude fiber such as NDF, ADF, cellulose and lignin were lowest at this rate of fertilizer application. Furthermore, IVDMD was high and dry matter yield were highest at the optimum raterate

      • Influence of Sowing Time on Growth, Yield and Nutritional Quality of Forage Rape in Spring

        To determine as optimal sowing time of forage rape in spring time in southern areas of Korea, forage rape cv. Velox, the highest yielding variety among introduced varieties of forage rape, was grown under five different sowing times. Yield components such as plant length, number of branches and number of leaves etc. were higher at the sowing time of Mar. 15 and Mar. 25. The plants sown at Mar. 15 and Mar. 25 also showed highest fresh and dry matter yield. When plants were grown under later sowing time, they showed higher values in content of crude protein and lower values in contents of crude fiber such as Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF), Acid Detergent Fiber (ADF), cellulose and lignin. There was no relationship between variation of In Vitro Dry matter Digestibility (IVDMD) and sowing time. The plants sown at Mar. 15 and Mar. 25 showed highest digestible dry matter yields.

        Background: Adenosine interacts with A1 receptors present on the extracellular surface of cardiac cells, activating K+channels in a fashion. It produces coronary vasodilatation and AV nodal block. The half-time is one to six second and has ultra-short action. In ischemic heart disease, fractional flow reserve(FFR) can be achieved safely with intravenous adenosine infusions at a rate of 150㎍/kg/min which cause maximal coronary hyperemia. Purpose: We investigated the patients who have had ischemic heart disease(n=8). After adenosine intravenous administration(150㎍/kg/min), the effect cause maximal hyperemia of coronary artery. During peak maximal hyperemia, we reported clinical findings, coronary hemodynamics and electrocardiogram findings. Methods: After diagnostic coronary angiography and left ventriculography, catheter was advanced into the ostium of coronary artery. We investigated coronary hemodynamics such as systolic coronary artery pressure, diastolic coronary artery pressure, mean coronary artery pressure and heart rate. To assess the use of adenosine for determination of fractional flow reserve, hemodynamics and electrocardiogram were measured at basal state and during peak maximal hyperemia. Results: Symptoms developed 1.5-2 minute after adenosine intravenous administration and each symptom disappeared 2-2.5 minute after adenosine administration. Two patients represented asymptomatic appearance and six patients complained of flushing, chest pain, palpitation and headache. In eight patients with ischemic heart disease, 1.5 minute after venous administration of 150㎍/kg/min of adenosine, coronary artery pressure decreased and heart rate increased significantly. Conduction abnormalities after administration of 150㎍/kg/min of adenosine were transient 2nd degree AV block 2 cases(25%). Conclusions: Adenosine is a potent ultra short-acting vasodilator. Although coronary artery pressure decreased and heart rate increased and mild cardiovascular symptoms occurred after continuous infusion of 150㎍/kg/min of adenosine, it is useful as an agent for determination of fractional flow reserve.

      • 초등학생의 과외체육활동이 학교 체육수업 선호도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the present state of elementary school students in extracurricular physical programs and its effect on their preference in school P.E and to provide research materials which can be used to increase teaching efficiency. For this purpose, a questionnaire was completed by 410 fifth and sixth grades in 4 different school districts(Kang-nam, Kang-buk, Kang-dong and Kang-seo)in Seoul. The questionnaire was developed on the basis of the study and adjusted for the purpose of this study. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed by SPSS. The general characteristics of the subjects of the survey were presented through frequency analysis. The correlations between the subjects' preference in the sub-fields of P.E. and the participation in the extracurricular physical program and gender were analyzed by x² verification. In addition, the t-test was executed to see the differences of preference in the sub-fields of P.E. The results were as follows. 1) The students who were not involved in extracurricular physical activity (Non-EC Group) outnumbered the student who participated in it(EC Group), In addition more boys than girls were in the extracurricular physical programs. 2) In the EC Group, boys did Taekwondo most. And it was followed by swimming soccer, basketball and Kendo. Girls also chose Taekwondo most. It preceded swimming dance, sports dance and Kindo. Unlike boys, girls rather positively participated in expressive activities like dance and sports dance. 3) With respect to the correlations between subjects' attitudes towards P.E and the participation in the extracurricular physical programs and sex, EC Group and boys showed more preference, interest and positiveness than Non-EC Group and girls(p<.001). 4) With respect to the correlations between subjects' preferences in the sub-fields of P.E. and the participation in the extracurricular physical programs and gender, first, EC Group showed more preference for gymnastics than Non EC Group(p<.05). In addition, in the sub-fields of gymnastics, boys and girls liked mat activities (37.8%) and vaulting horse activities(22.7%) most respectively(p<.01). Secondly, in the tract, there was no significant differences in the preferences between groups. Both boys and girls chose "relay" as their favorite activity. Thirdly, in the sub-field of game, soccer-related game was followed by skating and skiing. Whereas the soccer-related game was favored by both EC Group and Non-EC Group, the participation variable was significant in skiing and Taekwondo. The former was favored by EC Group. Moreover, gender affected the preference in the events of game activity. While 57.5% of the boys favored for the soccer-related game, 27.3% of the girls said "skating" was their favorite event. Preference in physical strength events differed according to participation variable as well as gender variable. Fourthly, the sub-field of expressive activity was least favoured by every group. Fifthly, in the sub-field of physical strength, "Exciting physical activity" was most popular. It showed that the participation in the extracurricular physical program and gender were analyzed as following. 5) The correlations between the elementary school student' preferences in the sub-fields of P.E and the ① Compared to The Non-EC Group, the EC Group showed significant preference in the sub-field of gymnastics, game, tract, physical strength activity. Therefore, it is proved that extracurricular physical programs can increase students' interest in these four sub-fields. ② Based on the gender variable, it was found that both boys and girls were most interested in the game activity. In case of boys, it was followed by track activity, physical strength activity, and gymnastics. In case of girls, it was followed by track activity, physical strength activity. In conclusion elementary school students' participation in extracurricular physical program affected their attitudes towards P.E. Therefore, it is essential to proceed the further research on continuity between elementary school P.E. and community sports as well as need analysis on elementary school students' P.E.

        1876~1945년 한국 근대보건의료시설의 역사적 발전과정에 대한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to trace the historical background and to describe the architectural issues of the healthcare facilities in 1876∼1945 years. Between 1876∼1895 yr. the first western hospital "Jejung-Won" was built in Seoul by the Korean Gov. with the help of the American Missionary Dr. Allen. The special clinic for curing smallpox. Udu-kuk was built nationally and the hospitals for infection disease were built in the same periods. In the next stage 1896∼1905, 1905∼1910 yr. there were many type of facilities such as military hospital. oriental medicine hospital, public hospital for poor people. clinic of hospital for Mission. After being conquered by Japan in 1910∼1945. the Japan Healthcare System was directly transferred into Korean system and the healthcare facilities was built by japanese architect. At that time. the Japan healthcare system had been constructed after following the modern European healthcare system. Most healthcare facilities in the age of Japanese imperialist was handed over to the Korean Government in 1950∼1960 yr after world was Ⅱ.

      • Tennis Service動作의 力學的 分析 : 女子大學 優秀選手를 中心으로

        In order to find the characteristics of service technique and its efficient motion and thus obtain the helpful data for training women players by analyzing dynamically the motional variation of Tennis service, we divide players into the expert group consisted of three women's universities' superior players and the unskilled group consisted of three girls' high school players. And then we shoot their service motions with 8mm highspeed camera. The results of analyzing that film are following: 1.The stance of the expert group (average 47.4 cm) is 6.9 cm more wide than that of the unskilled group. 2.The vertical radius of Racket top's drift locus of the expert group is much the same as that of the unskilled group, but the horizontal radius of Racket top's drift locus of the former is much more circular than that of the latter. 3.There is not much difference of Racket top's drift distance between the former (average 1405 cm) and the latter (average 1410.7 cm). 4.In case of the forward swing, the racket's drift speed of the former (average 20.73 m/sec.) is 2.24 m/sec. faster than that of the latter (average 18.49 m/sec.) 5.The horizontal drift distance of body's center of the former (average 117.3 cm) is 13.3 cm longer than that of the latter (average 104 cm). 6.The vertical drift distance of body's center of the former (average 36.7 cm) is 13.4 cm longer than that of the latter (average 23.3 cm). 7.The left lap's bending angle of the former (average 115.7˚) is 13˚ more than that of the latter (average 128.7˚). 8.At the moment of impact, while the body line of the former becomes vertical and bends forward, the waist and the foot of the latter become vertical. 9.It is impossible to command the flat service because our women players' height is short,
