Pendant Crown Ethers 운반체를 이용한 에멀젼 액체막계에서의 Pb^2+ 분리

Acryloyl methyl benzo-18-crown-6 단위체는 '4-hydroxymethyl benzo-18-crown-6와 acryloyl chloride을 반응시켜 합성하였다. Poly(acryloyl methyl benzo-18-crown-6)는 벤젠용매하에서 AIBN을 개시제로하여 제조하였다. [0.001mole/L M(NO_3)_n(M^2+ =Na^+, Mg^2+, Ca^2+, Sr^2+, Ba^2+, Zn^2+, Cu^2+, Cd^2+, Mn^n+ 와 Pb^2+)]를 포함한 source phase와 거대고리 리간드 [acryloyl methyl benzo-18-crown-6와 poly(acryloyl methyl benzo-18-crown-6)]와 계면활성제 Span 80을 포함한 toluene 막 그리고 Li_4P_2O_7를 포함하는 receiving phase로 구성되어진 에멀젼 액체막계에서 source phase로 부터 금속이온들의 소멸속도를 연구하였다. 금속이온의 이동에 관한 실험에서, 각 혼합물로 부터 Pb^2+ 이온이 가장 높은 이동율을 나타내었다. Acryloyl methyl benzo-18-crown-6 was synthesized by reacting 4'-hydroxymethyl benzo-18-crown-6 with acryloyl chloride. Poly(acryolyl methyl benzo-18-crown-6) was prepared in benzene by using AIBN as an initiator. The disapperance of metal ions from source phase as a function of time was studied in emulsion liquid membrane systems comprised in an aqueous source phase [0.001mole/L M(NO_3)_n(M^n+ =Na^+, Mg^2+, Ca^2+, Sr^2+, Ba^2+, Zn^2+, Cu^2+, Cd^2+, Mn^2+ 와 Pb^2+)], a toluene membrane containing of the macrocyclic ligand[acryloyl methyl benzo-18-crown-6 and poly(acryloyl methyl benzo-18-crown-6)] and the surfactant Span 80, and an aqueous Li_4P_2O_7 receiving phase. In the experiment for metal ions transport using this emulsioning liquid membrane, the Pb^2+ ion transport was more higher than other metal ions.
비호지킨 림프종의 REAL 분류와 cyclin D1, bcl-2, p53및 bcl-6 단백발현

Background and Objectives : There has been a continuous evolution of the lymphoma classification and recently a Revised European-American Lymphoma (REAL) classification was proposed by the International Lymphoma Study Group. This new classification requires information on immunophenotypic and molecular biologic markers in addition to the usual histologic findings. The distinction between mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) and other low grade B cell lymphomas is important because MCL has a more aggressive clinical course. The aim of this study is to determine the clinical characteristics and the relative frequency of malignant non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas (NHL) and analyze the expression of the cyclin D1, bcl-2, p53 and the bcl-6 protein. Materials and Methods : One hundred and twelve cases of NHL were recategorized by the newly described REAL classification categories and investigated for the expression of the cyclin D1, bcl-2, p53 and bcl-6 protein by the immunohistochemical method. Results : There were higher rates of extranodal lymphoma, diffuse large B cell lymphoma, and angiocentric lymphoma and lower rates of T cell lymphoma and follicular center lymphoma compared with Western countries. Cyclin D1 is expressed in all cases of MCL. But no cases except for MCL showed positive for cyclin D1. The expression of bcl-2 had decreased in high-grade lymphomas. Conclusion : It suggests that the cyclin D1 expression in mantle cell lymphoma could be reliably distinguished from its expression in other non-Hodgkin’ s lymphomas. In addition, bcl-2 may be useful for the differentiation of the low grade lymphoma from the high grade lymphoma.

<P>Necrotizing fasciitis (NF) is an uncommon destructive disease and fatal infection of the subcutaneous tissue. The literature includes a limited number of NF cases in rheumatic disease such as rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). We report a 40-year-old patient who had complicated with NF during treatment with corticosteroid and azathioprine for overlap syndrome of systemic sclerosis and SLE. She underwent urgent surgical debridement and internal drainage with antibiotics and had complete recovery from NF. To our knowledge, this is the first case of NF developed in a patient of overlap syndrome with diffuse type of systemic sclerosis and SLE and suggests that NF can be a very rare cutaneous manifestation of this disease.</P>

Hemorrhage is an uncommon but serious cornplicaticm of pancreatic pseudocysts. When gastrointestinal bleeding or intra-abdominal hemorrhage is associated with a pancreatic pseudocyst and the usual sources of bleeding are not detected by endoscopy, the rupture of a pseudoaneurysm inside the pseudocyst should be suspeeted. We report four cases presenting with major bleeding. Bleeding was massive in two patients and intermittent in two. It resulted from erosion of the gastroduodenal artery in two patients, bleeding into the pancreatic duct in one patient, erosion of the duodenum by a bleeding pseudocyst in one and involvement of the spleen by a bleeding pseudocyst in one. Of the four patients with bleeding pseudocysts, two underwent primary pancreatic reseetion and the other two underwent transcatheter embolization with embolus coiL Bleeding was successfully controlled by the transcatheter arterial embolization in one out of the two patient and pancreatic resection was performed in the rest of three patients. Analysis of the Stability of HLA - A2 Molecules Expressed on the Cell Surface

Association of antigenic peptide with class I MHC is believed to be crucial for maintaining stable conformation of class t molecules. T2 cells that are defective in TAP gene function mainly express class I molecules with an unstable conformation due to little or no association with antigenic peptides, whereas T1 cells that are normal in TAP gene function mainly express the stable form of class I molecules. In this work, attempts were made to determine the molecular stability of stable and unstable class I molecules. Dissociation of HLA-A2 molecules on T1 and T2 cells was monitored by flow cytometry using anti-HLAA2 antibody after the cells were treated with brefeldin A to shut down the transport of newly-assembled HLA-A2. Estimated dissociation rate constants for the stable and unstable forms of HLA-A2 were 0.076 h^(-1) and 0.66 h^(-1), respectively. It appeared that both T1 and T2 cells express stable and unstable class I complex, but with different ratios of the two forms. Furthermore, interferon-γ treatment of T1 cells appeared to induce the expression of both the stable and unstable class I molecules. These results demonstrate that class I MHC molecules can be divided into two groups in terms of structural stability and that they exist on the cell surface in both forms in a certain ratio.
