한국 회나무(Euonymus planipes), 참회나무(E. oxyphyllus)와 나래회나무(E. macropterus)의 잎의 형질비교

한반도에 분포하는 참회나무, 회나무, 나래회나무의 영양기관에서의 유효 식별 형질을 확인하기 위하여 166점의 표본 조사를 통해 단변량 분석을 실시하였다. 3종을 대상으로 4개의 정량형질(잎의 길이, 잎의 너비, 엽두의 길이, 엽병의 길이)을 측정하였다. 형질 분석 결과 3종에 대한 잎의 형질은 종간 차이를 보이지 않아 종간 식별에 도움이 되지는 않았다. 따라서 본 분류군에 있어서 잎의 형질만을 가지고 종을 식별하는 것은 타당하지 않고 반드시 꽃이나 열매가 있어야 이 분류군을 인식할 수 있다고 판단된다. 분포에 있어서 회나무는 강원도에서 평안도에 걸쳐 분포하고, 참회나무는 백두대간을 중심으로 한반도 북부까지 분포하며 나래회나무는 한반도 남쪽지역을 중심으로 분포하는 양상으로 보여 분류군 간에 다소 차이가 있지만 대부분 강원도를 중심으로 분포가 겹친다. Leaves of 166 specimens were sampled to investigate patterns of interspecific variation and to evaluate recognition of Euonymus planipes, E. oxyphyllus. and E. macropterus using four leaf characters (length, width, apex length, and petiole length). This study suggested that these leaf characters were not useful to identify these taxa. Therefore, it is only possible to identify these closely related taxa based on flower and fruit characters unlike other horticulturists' view.
S-600 A case of urachal adenocarcinoma stage IV treated by FOLFOX regimen

Background: Urachal carcinoma is a rare non-urothelial malignancy involving the midline or dome of the bladder due to direct extension from the urachal ligament. There is currently no standard chemoterapy for urachal cancer of stage IV, unavailable to operate. We report a rare case of metastatic urachal cancer treated by FOLFOX (5-FU,leukovorine,oxaliplatin), considering its pathological resemblance to colon cancer. Case report:?A 39-year-old man came to our institution for abdominal extension for weeks. An abdominal CT was performed in March 2016, which showed an irregular low density mass about 5×7cm in size at lower abdomen, between UB dome and umbilicus, extending to extraperitoneal space and large amount of ascites with infiltrations at omentum (A). The patient had some elevated serum tumor markers,including a CEA of 22.84 and CA 19-9 of 424.93. Tumor biopsies demonstrated mucinous adenocarcinoma of urachal mass and metastasis to omentum (C,D). Considering Stage IV state according to MD Anderson criteria, a systemical chemotherapy of gemcitabine and cisplatin was started in April. However, due to disease progression, which showed elevated tumor markers as a CEA of 29.42 and CA 19-9 of 1131.24. we changed regimen to FOLFOX in June. After two series of FOLFOX treatment, a CT in july showed no increase of mass size and a marked decrease of ascites (B). Moreover, turmor markers had been decreased as a CEA of 27.40 and CA 19-9 of 880.16. Conclusions:?A good treatment response to urachal cancer has been made by using FOLFOX regimen.
Anthocyanin Contents Enhancement with Gamma Irradiated Mutagenesis in Blackberry (Rubus fructicosus)

<P>Effects of radiation processing on the endogenous phytochemical production in blackberry (Rubus fructicosus L.) were investigated through a metabolites analysis, using high-performance liquid chromatography with a diode array detector and a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer (HPLC-DAD-ESI-MS/MS). Four mutant cultivar lines (B, C, D, and E) were developed through the treatment of various doses of gamma irradiation (80, 60, 40, and 20 Gy) on the control blackberry cultivar (V3). These mutant cultivar lines were selected according to their different morphological variations in leaf shape and branch color. In the present study, we performed quantitative analyses of the four standard compounds in blackberry mutant cultivars: cyanidin-3-O-glucoside, cyanidin-3-Oxyloside, cyanidin-3-O-malonylglucoside, and cyanidin-3-O-dioxalylglucoside. The HPLC fingerprints displayed different profiles for six blackberry cultivar lines, demonstrating that the accumulation of total anthocyanins was affected by the gamma irradiation. The contents of cyanidin-3-O-glucoside and cyanidin-3-O-xyloside were high in the gamma-irradiated mutant cultivars of blackberries, compared to those of the control cultivar (V3) and the cross breeding cultivar (R. fructicosus x R. parvifolius; CB). Cyanidin-3-O-malonylglucoside and cyanidin-3-O-dioxalylglucoside were also analyzed for their quantification in six cultivar lines, as metabolites contributing to the discrimination of six cultivar lines. Among gamma irradiated mutant blackberry cultivars, the highest dose level of gamma irradiation (80 Gy) resulted in the highest cyanidin-3-O-glucoside content enhancement. Therefore, these results can be useful to determine the optimized gamma irradiated value at which anthocyanins reaches an abundant level in Rubus species.</P>

Body surface potential map, an electric potential distribution on the body torso surface, enables us to infer the electrical activities of the heart. Therefore, observing electric potential projected to the torso surface can be highly useful for diagnosing heart diseases such as coronary occlusion. The BSPM for the heart of a patient show a higher level of sensitivity than 12-lead ECG. Relevant research has been mostly based on clinical statistics obtained from patients, and, therefore, a simulation for a variety of pathological phenomena of the heart is required. In this study, by using computer simulation, a body surface potential map was implemented according to various occlusion locations (distal, mid, proximal occlusion) in the left anterior descending coronary artery. Electrophysiological characteristics of the body surface during the ST segment period were observed and analyzed based on an ST isointegral map. We developed an integrated system that takes into account the cellular to organ levels, and performed simulation regarding the electrophysiological phenomena of the heart that occur during the first 5 minutes (stage 1) and 10 minutes (stage 2) after commencement of coronary occlusion. Subsequently, we calculated the bipolar angle and amplitude of the ST isointegral map, and observed the correlation between the relevant characteristics and the location of coronary occlusion. In the result, in the ventricle model during the stage 1, a wider area of ischemia led to counterclockwise rotation of the bipolar angle; and, during the stage 2, the amplitude increased when the ischemia area exceeded a certain size.
시뮬레이션을 활용한 연수막 측부순환이 뇌혈류 예비능에 미치는 영향력 분석

This study developed a protocol for inferring the leptomeningeal flow capacity of each individual through computer simulation and compared the results with the clinical indices. To do this, MRA image provided by the hospital was reconstructed as a 3D model and blood flow analysis was performed through the Navier-Stokes equations. Peripheral blood vessels of cerebral vessels, venous system, intracranial pressure and cerebrospinal fluid circulation were analyzed using the 0D model, and arterial pressure obtained through this analysis was applied as exit boundary conditions for 3D numerical analysis. The study findings show that the activity of the collateral circulation, as well as the degree of vessel stenosis, is a major factor in determining the pressure ratio. Therefore, the cerebral vascular reserve is dependent on collateral circulation and vascular structure in addition to vascular stenosis. This fact can be confirmed by cerebral vessel simulation developed in this study.

Cerebrovascular reserve is a general description of the range of cerebral perfusion variation from normal baseline. It indicates the level of stenosis of the blood vessels. For people with low cerebrovascular reserve, exercise or stress can radically increase the risk of stroke or ischemic attack. In this study, decrease in cerebrovascular reserve caused by internal carotid artery stenosis was predicted based on simulation by using a 3D cerebrovascular model. Then we observed the correlation between the cerebrovascular reserve and the anatomical variations of the circle of Willis. For the study, we made a cerebrovascular 3D grid and did blood flow simulation by a Navier-Stokes equation. As boundary conditions for simulation, input to the inlet is the pulsating pattern of arterial pressure, and, in each branch, lumped parameter model was combined to determine the outlet pressure. Therefore, we showed that several variations of circle of Willis increase risk at internal carotid artery stenosis.

It is known that 12-lead ECG has its limitations in the prediction of the ventricle posterior wall acute myocardial infarction(AMI). On the other hand, the 15-lead ECG consists of the 12-lead ECG with three additional leads. It’s detecting the posterior AMI of left ventricle. In this study we assessed the effectiveness of 15-lead ECG for the AMI tissue in ventricle posterior wall. To do this, we developed an electrophysiological model of the heart coupled with a torso model and the local AMI tissue model in posterior wall.
