<P>It is at the heart of modern condensed matter physics to investigate the role of a topological structure in anomalous transport phenomena. In particular, chiral anomaly turns out to be the underlying mechanism for the negative longitudinal magnetoresistivity in a Weyl metal phase. The existence of a dissipationless current channel causes enhancement of electric currents along the direction of a pair of Weyl points or applied magnetic fields (B). However, temperature (T) dependence of the negative longitudinal magnetoresistivity has not been understood yet in the presence of disorder scattering since it is not clear at all how to introduce effects of disorder scattering into the topological-in-origin transport coefficient at finite temperatures. The calculation based on the Kubo formula of the current-current correlation function is simply not known for this anomalous transport coefficient. Combining the renormalization group analysis with the Boltzmann transport theory to encode the chiral anomaly, we reveal how disorder scattering renormalizes the distance between a pair of Weyl points and such a renormalization effect modifies the topological-in-origin transport coefficient at finite temperatures. As a result, we find breakdown of B/T scaling, given by B/T1+eta with 0 < eta < 1. This breakdown may be regarded to be a fingerprint of the interplay between disorder scattering and topological structure in a Weyl metal phase.</P>

The incidence of heart failure (HF) is increasing in South Korea and devising the optimal care plan is crucial to promote appropriate and effective treatment of HF. To this end, the first Korean guideline for management of chronic HF was published in 2016 by the HF research group under the Korean Society of Cardiology (KSC). After this publication, considerable data have been accumulated and a new guideline for the management of HF was published in Europe, and an update regarding pharmacological therapy was published in the United States, which made it warrant to update the Korean guideline. Under this premise, The Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee under the Korean Society of Heart Failure (KSHF) founded in 2018 decided to publish a focused update management guideline for chronic HF and selected 15 topics that need an update regarding the diagnosis, definition, diagnostic algorithm, monitoring, novel biomarkers, drug therapy related to non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants and angiotensin receptor neprilysin inhibitors, and with respect to comorbidities changes in the guidelines of relevant institutions, such as new guidelines for the management of hypertension, a procedure used to treat severe aortic stenosis, information on sodium glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitor, and that about sleep apnea. Among nonpharmacological therapies, changes to the recommendations for implantable cardioverter defibrillator, cardiac resynchronization therapy, and cardiac rehabilitation were updated. Subsequent and continuous updates based on additional clinical research findings, with continual supervision by the KSHF will be needed.

<P>The aim of this study was to develop <I>in situ</I> hybridization for detection of <I>Mycoplasma hyorhinis</I> in formalin-fixed, paraffin-wax-embedded tissues from pigs with polyserositis. <I>M. hyorhinis</I> was isolated from the spleen (2 pigs) and pericardium (1 pig). <I>M. hyorhinis</I> DNA was detected 16 out of 20 pigs with polyserositis. <I>In situ</I> hybridization produced a distinct positive signal for the <I>M. hyorhinis</I> p37 gene in inflammatory cells in the polyserositis. <I>In situ</I> hybridization developed in the present study present diagnostic tools capable of detection of <I>M. hyorhinis</I> in formalin-fixed, paraffin-wax-embedded tissues from the naturally infected pigs.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We report the influence of two-band superconductivity on the flux creep and the critical current densities of a MgB<SUB>2</SUB> thin film. The small magnetic penetration depth of <I>λ</I>=50±10nm at <I>T</I>=4K is related to a clean π-band. We find a high self-field critical current density <I>J</I> <SUB> <I>c</I> </SUB>, which is strongly reduced with applied magnetic field, and attribute this to suppression of the superconductivity in the π-band. The temperature dependence of the creep rate <I>S</I> (<I>T</I>) at low magnetic field can be explained by a simple Anderson–Kim mechanism. The system shows high pinning energies at low field that are strongly suppressed by high field.</P>
