        안전 출입 시스템을 위한 체적 홀로그래픽 광지문인식

        본 논문에서는 정합필터의 데이터 베이스로 체적 홀로그램을 사용한 광 지문 인식 시스템을 제안하였다. VanderLugt 상관기에 사용되는 정합필터는 방대한 저장 능력과 실시간 랜덤 엑세스의 장점을 갖는 체적 홀로그램에 기록된다. 데이터 베이스로 사용되는 지문 영상들은 각각 공간광변조기에 디스플레이 되어 퓨리에 변환 렌즈를 통과한 후 퓨리에 변환된 공간정합필터의 형태로 광굴절매질에 기록된다. 대용량의 테이터 베이스를 구성하기 위한 다중화 방법으로 스텝 모터를 이용하여 기준파의 각도를 회전하는 각다중화 기술을 사용하였다. 실험을 퉁해 본 시스템이 제한된 영역의 접근을 통제하기 위한 개인 인증용 안전 출입 시스템 및 크레디트카드, 여권, ID등의 위조방지에 이용이 가능함을 제시하였다. We propose an optical fingerprint identification system using volume hologram for database of matched filter. Matched filters in VanderLugt correlator are recorded into a volume hologram that can store data with high density, transfer them with high speed, and select a randomly chosen data element. The multiple reference fingerprint photographs of database are prerecorded in a photorefractive material in the form of Fourier transform images, simply by passing the image displayed in a spatial light modulator through a Fourier transform lens. The angular multiplexing method for multiple holograms of database is achieved by controlling the reference directions with a step motor. Experimental results show that the proposed system can be used for secure entry systems to identify individuals for access to a restricted area, security verification of credit cards, passports, and other IDs.

      • 배추흰나비 변태에 따른 중추신경계의 형태학적 변화

        배추흰나비 변태에 따른 중추신경계의 형태학적 변화. 이봉희, 심재원, 윤혜현, 권도우 (순천향대학교 자연광학대학 생물학과), 昆蟲硏究誌. 18 : 55 ~ 62, 1992. 곤충 변태에 따른 중추신경계의 형태학적 변화가 배추흰나비(Pieris rapae)5령유충, 1일용, 2일용, 그리고 1일성충에서 조사되었다. 변태에 따라 중추신경계는 인접 신경절사이의 신경삭(nerve connective)이 짧아지거나 길어졌고 인접 신경절사이의 신경삭이 완전히 제거되어 신경절끼리 융합하기도 하였다. 또한 대부분의 신경절내에서도 큰 변화가 수반되었다. 이와같은 중추신경계의 형태학적 변화는 중추신경계의 길이가 상당히 짧아지는 것이 가장 큰 특징이었다. 중추신경계의 길이 감소는 전 변태기 동안 일어났지만 특히 5령유충 중추신경계는 변태기간 동안 계속 길이가 감소하여 1일성충에서는 48%가 감소되어 있었다. 신경절은 또한 서로 융합하여 특히 thoracic neuron center와 abdominal neuron center를 형성하였다. thoracic neuron center는 1일용과 2일용 사이의 변태기간 동안 제1과 제2 복부신경절이 먼저 융합하고 이어서 2일용 이후의 용기에서의 변태기간 동안 융합된 제 1, 2 복부신경절이 제 2와 제 3 흉부신경절과 융합되어있는 제 7과 제8복부신경절은 1일성체로 되는 용기의 변태기간동안 제6복부신경절과 융합하여 abdominal neuron center를 형성하였다. 중추 신경계를 구성하는 모두 13개의 신경절은 주로 용기의 변태기간 동안 구조적으로 분화하여 성충의 중추신경계를 형성하였다. The morphological changes occurring in the central nervous system of Pieris rapae have been investigated during metamorphosis from the fifth instar larva to the 1-day-old adult. These changes consist of (1) shortening or lengthening of the connectives between the neighbouring ganglia, (2) fusion of adjacent ganglia, and (3) sizable changes within the various ganglia. A considerable shortening of the central nervous system occurs through the metamorphic periods which were investigated in this experment; in particular when the fifth instar larva changes to the prepupa and the 1-day-old pupa to the 2-day-old pupa. The 48% of total length of the central nervous system of the fifth instar larva decreases in the 1-day-old adult. The 1st and 2nd dbdominal ganglia fuse completely during a metamorphic period between the 1-day-old pupa and 2-day-old pupa. The fused 1st and 2nd abdominal ganglia fuse again with the 2nd and 3rd thoracic ganglia between the 2-day-old pupa and the 1-day-old adult, forming the thoracic neuron center. The previously fused 7th and 8th abdominal ganglia in the fifth instar larva fuse completely with the 6th abdominal ganlion between the 2-day-old pupa and the 1-day-old adult, forming the abdominal neuron center. The extensive differentiaton of the various ganglia, especially cerebral ganglion, occurs mostly during the pupal stages.

        Pseudomonas sp . 접종에 의한 항산화물 다량함유 로즈마리(Rosmarinus officialis L .)계통 선발

        Pseudomonas sp.의 접종에 내성을 가진 로즈마리 계통은 basal phenolics, RA 함량 및 lignin 합성 등 여러 가지 생리적인 요인에 의해 항산화물의 합성을 조장내지는 억제하는 것으로 나타났으며 본 시험에서 나타난 주요결과는 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 이형종자집단(heterogeneous bulk population)에서 항산화물 합성량이 높은 7계통을 선발하였으며 계통의 유지 및 대량증식에는 MS/BAP 배지가 적당하였다. 2. R-11, 19 계통은 온실에서 다른 선발계통에 비해 2배정도 증식이 빠르고 Pseudomonas sp. 의 접종에 따른 phenolics 합성량도 많아 유망시되었다. The object of this experiment is to systemize micropropagation as well as select high rosmarinic acid producing rosemary clonal lines which are from heterogeneous seed population. Clonal line R-11, 19 showed higher level of phenolic compounds and rosmarinic acid by inoculation of Pseudomonas sp. Elite clonal lines which produced higher phenolic compounds and promoted lignification metabolic processing are R-11. 19.

        니세틸 정(아세틸 - 엘 - 카르니틴 500mg)에 대한 뉴로세틸 정의 생물학적 동등성

        Acetyl-L-carnitine (ALC), an endogenous component of the L-carnitine family, is naturally occurring molecule synthesized from L-carnitine (LC) by carnitine acetyl transferase. ALC has been shown to improve the cognitive performance of patients suffering from dementia of the Alzheimer's type and proposed for treating Alzheimer's disease in pharmacological doses. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the bioequivalence of two ALC tablets, Nicetile^(TM) (Dong-A pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) and Neurocetil^(TM) (Kyung-Dong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.), according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration. Twenty six normal male volunteers, 22.80±2.76 year in age and 63.07±7.98 ㎏ in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized 2 × 2 cross-over study was employed. After one tablet containing 500 ㎎ of ALC was orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentrations of ALC in serum were determined using HPLC with fluorescence detector. Because of the presence of endogenous ALC, the calibration was performed using dialyzed serum. Pharmacokinetic parameters such as AUC_t, C_(max) and T_(max) were calculated and ANOVA was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters. The results showed that the differences in AUC_t, C_(max) and T_(max) between two tablets were 2.72%, -0.65% and -8.42%, respectively, when calculated against the Nicetile^(TM) tablet. The powers (1-β) for AUC_t and C_(max) were 94.87% and 87.17%, respectively. Minimum detectable differences (△) at α=0.05 and 1-β=0.8 were less than 20% (e.g., 15.58% and 19.16% AUC_t and C_(max), respectively). The 90% confidence intervals were within ±20% (e.g., -11.84∼6.41 and -10.57∼11.88 for AUC_t and C_(max), respectively). Two parameters met the criteria of KFDA for bioequivalence, indicating that Neurocetil^(TM) tablet is bioequivalent to Nicetile^(TM) tablet.

        An investigation into teachers’ perceptions of the national achievement test of primary English

        The purpose of this study is to investigate how primary school teachers of English perceive the national achievement test of primary English (hereafter NATPE). It also aims to investigate to what extent the washback effect of NATPE has on teachers' practice in their teaching. For these purposes, the teachers’ usual way of teaching was surveyed, and an NATPE test contents were analyzed from the perspectives of teachers. From this analysis, some critical issues were raised, such as the dissonance between what the teachers do before and after the test implementation, and the impact of the test on the teachers' perception and their practices. To carry out the research, a questionnaire consisting of some open-ended questions and some close-ended ones was administerd to over 100 teachers from different areas. An in-depth interview was also conducted to 15 questionnaire respondents in order to consolidate the data obtained from the questionnaire. The results indicate that teachers do not have enough information about the NATPE in terms of the four level distinctions of English achievement, and the differences between the neighbouring levels, the way of determining the cut-off point of each level. The results also show that teachers made efforts by employing a number of methods and strategies to help students prepare for the test, and compensate for their weakness after the test.

      • Performance of electrochemical double layer capacitors using highly porous activated carbons prepared from beer lees

        Beer lees precursor is chosen to prepare activated carbons having different physical and chemical properties. The beer lees-based activated carbons (BL-ACs) are characterized by N<SUB>2</SUB> adsorption/desorption isotherms, adsorption energy distributions (AEDs), and X-ray photoelectric spectroscopy (XPS). Furthermore the electrochemical properties of the BL-ACs are assessed using cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and constant current charge/discharge method. The maximum specific capacitance (about 188F/g at discharge current of lmA/cm<SUP>2</SUP>) is obtained in 0.1M H<SUB>2</SUB>SO<SUB>4</SUB> electrolyte solution, which is a relatively low electrolyte concentration. The overall results suggest that the BL-ACs are good candidates for EDLC electrode materials.

        A Model of Robot-Assisted Assessment of Primary School Students’ English Speaking

        This small-scale study aims to try out if an educational robot can be used as an interlocutor in the formative speaking assessment in the primary English learning classrooms. Also it aims to investigate if it could affect the learners’ emotional factors such as motivation and confidence. For these purposes, firstly, a number of theoretical issues were investigated: Difficulties of speaking assessment, principles of speaking assessment, and robot technology; secondly, the educational standards of speaking skills prescribed in the national curriculum were examined. Through which, a model of robot-assisted speaking assessment was developed and applied to the primary school students. In addition, a questionnaire survey and an interview were conducted to 13 students for the purpose of obtaining the quantitative and qualitative data regarding their emotional responses to the assessment. The results indicate that the model of robot-assisted assessment might be put into assessment practice. There are, however, still some obstacles which need to be addressed. First, the robot should be equipped with some more high-technologies such as space and voice recognition for human-robot-interaction(HRI). Second, it should also be equipped with a number of programs such as text-to-speech(TTS), speech-to-text(STT), radio-frequency identification(RFID), and tele-presents in order to allow robots to communicate with the students. Lastly, item pool of speaking assessment should be developed thought which, the teachers could access it without any difficulties. Finally, a pedagogical implication is presented based on the research results.

      • S-21 Usefulness of Anchoring Technique for Prevention of Stent Migration in Esophagorespiratory Fistula

        Background:?Coated SEMS (self-expandable metal stent) placement is the preferred therapy for malignant esophagorespiratory fistula (ERF) at present. Migration is more frequent in coated stent than uncoated stent. Migration can occur immediately after stent placement and is likely secondary to malpositioning, inadequate anchoring, soft nonconstricting tumors, or complete coating of the stent. The overall risk of migration is approximately 10%. To prevent migration, we have used the anchoring technique, called Shim’s technique in Korea, connecting stent to ear with silk thread.?Patients and Methods:?Seven patients with malignant ERF were included. ERF conditions liable to migration of stent were selected. The selection criteria were ERFs without stricture (3 cases), with short length of stenosis (2 cases), and with soft consistency around fistula (2 cases). The anchoring method was designed to hang stent to ear lobe. Auricle was used for a post to suspend stent by a thread until the fixation of stent on the esophageal wall. The coated stent was specially designed for antimigration which has small circumferential uncoated portion on proximal flange part of stent for fixation. After 5 days of stenting, we removed the anchoring silk from the stent. Sealing of fistula were assessed with clinical improvement and esophagogram.?Results:?There were no migrations after stent placement in all 7 cases. Symptoms of aspiration were improved in all 7 cases.?Conclusions:?The anchoring technique was useful for the prevention of stent migration in esophagorespiratory (ERF) cases, especially in the conditions that stent are apt to be migrated.
