        유리체강 내 주입술을 받는 망막질환자의 시각 관련 삶의 질 영향요인

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify influencing factors on vision-related quality of life in patients with retinal diseases receiving intravitreal injections by examining relationships among anxiety, depression, coping, eye health behaviors and vision-related quality of life. Methods: One hundred and five outpatients who were diagnosed with macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy were recruited from one university hospital during August 16, 2019 to March 25, 2020. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency and percentage, mean, standard deviation), and t-tests, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson’s correlations, and stepwise multiple regressions using the IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0. Results: The vision-related quality of life according to general characteristics of retinal disease patients with intravitreal injection showed significant differences in age (F=3.01, p=.034), subjective economic status (F=5.83, p=.004), types of retinal disease (t=2.62, p=.010), and disease in both eyes (t=-3.04, p=.003). The vision-related quality of life showed a significant positive correlation with age (r=.24, p=.012), and negative correlations with anxiety (r=-.66, p<.001), depression (r=-.48, p<.001), and emotion-focused coping (r=-.20, p=.036). The hierarchical regression analysis indicated that factors affecting vision-related quality of life in patients with retinal diseases were anxiety and subjective economic status, accounting for 47.0% of the variances of the vision-related quality of life. Conclusion: Based on our results, health professionals need to pay attention to patients with low socioeconomic status due to frequent treatments. Also, a program needs to be developed to decrease anxiety for outpatients receiving intravitreal injections to improve their vision-related quality of life.

        소셜 비디오 플랫폼 상에서 ‘나’의 개성과 ‘다른 사람’의 개성이 사용자의 긍정성과 소속감에 미치는 영향

        최근 들어 사회적인 상호작용 방식이 동영상을 통해 정보를 주고받는 방식으로 변하고 있다. 그래서 본 연구에서는 ‘나’와 ‘다른 사람’의 영상을 구성요소로 하는 새로운 소셜 비디오 플랫폼을 제안하고자 한다. ‘다른 사람’의 개성(Personality)과 ‘나’의 개성이 ‘나’에게 어떤 영향을 주는지 알아보고, 2가지 요소를 어떻게 나타내주어야 하는지 알아보기 위해 사회적 영향 이론(Social Impact Theory)과 자기 점검 이론(Self-Monitoring Theory)을 적용하여 영상을 시청하는 ‘나’의 개성과 ‘다른 사람’의 개성이 사용자의 긍정성과 소속감에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보았다. 그리고 이를 실증적으로 검증하기 위해 실제 소셜 비디오 플랫폼을 구축하여 실험을 진행하였다. 그 결과, 사용자들은 자신의 영상이 화면에 제시되었을 때, 긍정성을 더 많이 느끼는 것을 확인하였다. 하지만 자신의 영상이 함께 제시되면서, 주변영상에 나타난 다른 사람들의 모습이 여성성이 높아질수록 오히려 느끼는 긍정성은 줄어드는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 다른 사람들의 모습이 남성성이 높을 때, 사용자는 소속감을 더 크게 느끼는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 새로운 소셜 비디오 플랫폼의 구성과 형태에 대한 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 보인다. Recently, the method of social interaction is transforming into a method that utilizes videos. We are suggesting a new social video platform that contains a video of ‘I’ and ‘the other’. We studied how the appearance of ‘the other’ and ‘I’ affected the user. So we applied the Social Impact Theory and Self-Monitoring Theory. The platforms were then used to investigate how the user’s positive attitude and sense of community were affected by having the user view his/her and ‘the other’s appearance watching the same video. As the result, users felt more positive attitude when their own appearance was shown on the screen. However, the positive attitude decreased when there were more femininity in the surrounding videos along with their own appearance. Also, when there were more masculinity in the surrounding video, the users felt a stronger sense of community. We believe this research will provide implications for developing the structure and organization of a new social video platform.

      • 해시태그를 통한 감정 공유가 지각된 관심 끌기와 사회적 상호작용성에 미치는 영향

        소셜 미디어를 통한 감정 공유가 증가하고 있다. 감정공유는 타인의 공감을 얻고 ‘좋아요’나 댓글과 같은 사회적 상호작용을 증가시키기 위해 이루어진다. 그러나 지나친 감정 공유로 인해 오히려 타인의 공감을 얻지 못하고 관심 끌기라고 판단되는 경우가 나타나고 있다. 관심 끌기를 목적으로 한다고 판단되는 게시물에 대해 사용자들은 공감하지 못하고 사회적 상호작용을 줄이게 된다. 관심 끌기라고 판단하게 되는 원인 중 하나로 해시태그(#)를 통한 감정 공유가 있다. 기존의 해시태그는 게시물의 주제를 나타내는 키워드로 주로 사용되었으나 최근에는 직접적인 감정 공유의 수단으로도 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 해시태그가 강조성과 보편성이라는 수사적 기능을 수행하며 이러한 기능이 감정 공유에 있어 관심 끌기라고 판단하게 되는데 영향을 줄 것이라고 생각하였다. 이러한 관계를 알아보기 위해 본 연구에서는 해시태그를 통해 감정을 공유하는 가상의 게시물을 제작하여 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과 관심 끌기를 목적으로 하고 있다고 생각될수록 게시물에 대한 ‘좋아요’ 수가 감소함을 확인하였다. 또한 공유된 감정이 강조되었고 보편적이지 않다고 생각될수록 관심 끌기라고 판단하는 것으로 나타났다. Emotion sharing on social media is flourishing. People share their feelings to increase social interactions such as ‘like’ and comment. Due to the excessive sharing, however, some people have failed appealing and perceived as attention seekers. People do not empathize with an attention seeking post and decrease the number of social interaction. Emotion shared with hashtag(#) is a classic example which is perceived as an attention seeking. Although hashtag has usually represented a keyword of a post, recently it becomes an emotion delivering method. In this study, we hypothesized that the rhetorical function of hashtag affects the judgment of attention seeking. To verify the hypotheses, we conducted a survey with prototype system. The result indicated that as people perceived the post as attention seeking, the number of ‘like’ decreased. In addition, people tend to judge the post as attention seeking, when they think shared emotion is emphasized and unique.

      • Clostridium ganghwense sp. nov., isolated from tidal flat sediment.

        <P>A Gram-negative, strictly anaerobic, halophilic, motile, sporulating and rod-shaped bacterium, designated strain HY-42-06T, was isolated from tidal flat sediment from Ganghwa Island in South Korea. The isolate produced glycerol, ethanol and CO2 as fermentation end-products from glucose. Strain HY-42-06T grew optimally at 35 degrees C, pH 7.5 and 3 % (w/v) artificial sea salts. No growth was observed in the absence of sea salts. In phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA gene sequence, strain HY-42-06T showed a distinct phyletic line within the members of cluster I of the order Clostridiales. The closest phylogenetic neighbour to strain HY-42-06T was Clostridium novyi ATCC 17861T (94.91 % 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity). Several phenotypic characters readily differentiate the tidal flat isolate from phylogenetically related clostridia. On the basis of polyphasic evidence, strain HY-42-06T should be classified as a representative of a novel species, for which the name Clostridium ganghwense sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is HY-42-06T (=IMSNU 40127T = KCTC 5146T = JCM 13193T).</P>

        Effect of Thermal History on Pitting Corrosion of High Nitrogen and Low Molybdenum Stainless Steels

        Chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen are very important alloying elements in stainless steels and its effect was approved in pitting resistance equivalent (PRE) equations and many experimental results. However, Cr can improve the corrosion resistance, but facilitate the formation of sigma phase. Also, Mo has the same effect in stainless steels. If Cr and Mo are added at high amount to increase the corrosion resistance of stainless steel, corrosion resistance in annealed alloys can be improved, but in case of welding or aging heat treatment, its resistance will be drastically decreased. In this work, increasing Cr and N contents but decreasing Mo than the commercial alloys made the experimental alloys. Typical alloys are 250-4.5Mo-0.43N alloy, 27Cr-4.7Mo-0.4N alloy, 27Cr-5.3Mo-0.25N alloy, 32Cr-2.6Mo-0.36N alloy. After annealing and aging heat treatment, microstructures, anodic polarization test, and pitting corrosion test were performed. Annealed alloys showed 100℃ of CPT and aged alloys showed the different tendency depending upon Cr and Mo contents(SFI)

      • Myelin basic protein as a binding partner and calmodulin adaptor for the BK<sub>Ca</sub> channel

        <P>The activity and localization of large-conductance Ca<SUP>2+</SUP>-activated K<SUP>+</SUP> (BK<SUB>Ca</SUB>) channels are known to be modulated by several different proteins. Although many binding partners have been identified via yeast two-hybrid screening, this method may not detect certain classes of interacting proteins such as low affinity binding proteins or multi-component protein complexes. In this study, we employed mass spectrometry to identify proteins that interact with BK<SUB>Ca </SUB>channels. We expressed and purified the ‘tail domain’ of the rat BK<SUB>Ca </SUB>channel α-subunit, a 54-kDa region that is crucial for expression and functional activity of the channel. Using rat brain lysate and purified ‘tail domain’, we identified several novel proteins that interact with the BK<SUB>Ca </SUB>channel. These included the myelin basic protein (MBP), upon which we performed subsequent biochemical and electrophysiological studies. Interaction between the BK<SUB>Ca </SUB>channel and MBP was confirmed in vivo and in vitro. MBP co-expression affected the Ca<SUP>2+</SUP>-dependent activation of the BK<SUB>Ca</SUB> channel by increasing its Ca<SUP>2+</SUP> sensitivity. Moreover, we showed that calmodulin (CaM) interacts with the BK<SUB>Ca</SUB> channel via MBP. Since CaM is a key regulator of many Ca<SUP>2+</SUP>-dependent processes, it may be recruited by MBP to the vicinity of the BK<SUB>Ca</SUB> channel, modulating its functional activity.</P>

        Comparative analysis of the amount of postoperative drainage after intraoral vertical ramus osteotomy and sagittal split ramus osteotomy

        Objectives: The purpose of this retrospective study was to compare the amount of postoperative drainage via closed suction drainage system after intraoral vertical ramus osteotomy (IVRO) and sagittal split ramus osteotomy (SSRO). Materials and Methods: We planned a retrospective cohort study of 40 patients selected from a larger group who underwent orthognathic surgery from 2007 to 2013. Mean age (range) was 23.95 (16 to 35) years. Patients who underwent bilateral IVRO or SSRO were categorized into group I or group II, respectively, and each group consisted of 20 patients. Closed suction drainage system was inserted in mandibular osteotomy sites to decrease swelling and dead space, and records of drainage amount were collected. The data were compared and analyzed with independent t-test. Results: The closed suction drainage system was removed at 32 hours postoperatively, and the amount of drainage was recorded every 8 hours. In group I, the mean amount of drainage was 79.42 mL in total, with 31.20 mL, 19.90 mL, 13.90 mL, 9.47 mL, and 4.95 mL measured at 0, 8, 16, 24, and 32 hours postoperatively, respectively. In group II, the mean total amount of drainage was 90.11 mL, with 30.25 mL, 25.75 mL, 19.70 mL, 8.50 mL, and 5.91 mL measured at 0, 8, 16, 24, and 32 hours postoperatively, respectively. Total amount of drainage from group I was less than group II, but there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups (P=0.338). There was a significant difference in drainage between group I and group II only at 16 hours postoperatively (P=0.029). Conclusion: IVRO and SSRO have different osteotomy design and different extent of medullary exposure; however, our results reveal that there is no remarkable difference in postoperative drainage of blood and exudate.
