Pelviscopic surgery has been reported to have minimal tissue damage and bleeding, and to reduce cost and recovery time for patients undergoing a variety of procedures. The field of gynecologic operations that can be performed by pelviscopic procedures has expanded rapidly. This report is a retrospective review of 146 cases of pelviscopic surgery from January, 1991 to February 1996 to evaluate the efficacy of pelviscopic surgery in gynecologic patients. The results of this review were summarized as follows; 1. The majority of patients was between 21 and 40 years of age(84.2%), mean age was 33.1 years. 2. Preoperative clinical indications were adnexal mass 77 cases(52.7%), ectopic pregnancy 48 cases(33.9%), uterine myoma 9 cases(6.2%), and etc. 3. Types of surgery were salpingectomy 43 cases(29.5%), salpingoophorectomy 41cases(28.1%), LAVH 9 cases(6.2%) and etc. 4. The previous operation history was found in 34 cases(23.3%), and the type of previous operation were Cesarean section 11 cases(32.4%), appendectomy 10 cases(29.4%), and there were 5 cases of previous history of ectopic pregnancy. 5. The mean duration of hospitalization was 5.8 days.

횡문근육종은 소아와 청소년기에 가장 흔한 연부조직 육종이다. 발생 부위는 일반적으로 두부 및 경부, 그 다음으로 비뇨생식계이다 조직학적으로 배아성 횡문근육종, 국화상 육종, 폐포성 횡문근육종, 다형성 횡문근육종으로 나누어진다. 횡문근육종의 약 20%가 비뇨생식기에서 발생하고, 50% 이상이 배아성 횡문근육종이다. 여성 생식기의 배아성 횡문근육종은 드문 악성 종양으로,주로 유소아의 질에서 발생하며, 자궁경부에서 발생하는 횡문근육종은 청소년기에 흔하고, 질에서 기원하는 횡문근육종이 자궁경부에 기원하는 경우보다 5배 정도 많다. 폐경기여성에서는 자궁체부에서 가장 흔히 발생한다. 비뇨생식기의 횡문근육종의 치료는 과거에는 골반장기 적출술만으로 치료를 시도하였으나. 서서히 다중 항암화학요법, 방사선요법, 근치적 절제술을 포함한 병합요법으로 바뀌어가고 있으며, 이에 따라 생존율이 현저하게 향상되었다. 이에 저자들은 최근 본원 산부인과에서 자궁경부에 발생한 배아성 횡문근육종 2예를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 아울러 보고하는 바이다. Rhabdomyosarcoma is the most common soft tissue sarcoma in childhood and young adult. Genitourinary tract is the econd most common site of rhabdomyosarcoma. Rhabdomyosarcoma can be classified into one of four major types; embryonal, alveolar, pleomorphic and undifferentiated. Embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma of the female genital tract is rare malignant tumor and usually occurs during childhood in the vagina. In rare cases, rhabdomyosarcoma can originate in the uterine cervix, with a peak incidence in the second decade. Recently we have experienced two cases of embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma of the uterine cervix. These cases are presented with a brief review of the literature.

<P>In this study, we report all-sputtered In-Ga-Zn-O (IGZO) thin-film transistors (TFTs) through the fabrication of a sputtered gate insulator. Furthermore, using simultaneous UV and thermal (SUT) treatment, we fabricate sputter-processed gate insulators at a low temperature of 150 °C with a higher amount of coordinated oxygen species and a higher surface energy than thermal-only (300 °C) treated gate insulators. Additionally, by activating the IGZO channel layer using SUT treatments, we fabricate all-sputter processed IGZO TFTs at 150 °C and they exhibit improved device performances compared to thermal-only treated ones; the field-effect mobility is increased from 7.32 ± 3.8 to 29.59 ± 2.5 cm<SUP>2</SUP> V<SUP>−1</SUP> s<SUP>−1</SUP>, the on/off ratio is increased from (1.1 ± 1.8) × 10<SUP>5</SUP> to (2.9 ± 1.7) × 10<SUP>8</SUP>, and the subthreshold swing is decreased from 1.0 ± 0.07 to 0.4 ± 0.05 V dec<SUP>−1</SUP>.</P>

<P>We developed a method to improve the electrical performance and stability of passivated amorphous In–Ga–Zn–O thin-film transistors by simultaneous ultraviolet and thermal (SUT) treatment. SUT treatment was carried out on fully fabricated thin-film transistors, including deposited source/drain and passivation layers. Ultraviolet (UV) irradiation disassociated weak and diatomic chemical bonds and generated defects, and simultaneous thermal annealing rearranged the defects. The SUT treatment promoted densification and condensation of the channel layer by decreasing the concentration of oxygen-vacancy-related defects and increasing the concentration of metal–oxide bonds. The SUT-treated devices exhibited improved electrical properties compared to nontreated devices: field-effect mobility increased from 5.46 to 13.36 V·s, sub-threshold swing decreased from 0.49 to 0.32 V/decade, and threshold voltage shift (for positive bias temperature stress) was reduced from 5.1 to 1.9 V.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/aamick/2014/aamick.2014.6.issue-9/am405818x/production/images/medium/am-2013-05818x_0008.gif'></P>

<P>To broaden the availability and application of metal-oxide (M-O)-based optoelectronic devices, we suggest heterogeneous phototransistors composed of In-Ga-Zn-O (IGZO) and methylammonium lead iodide (CH<SUB>3</SUB>NH<SUB>3</SUB>PbI<SUB>3</SUB>) layers, which act as the amplifier layer (channel layer) and absorption layer, respectively. These heterogeneous phototransistors showed low persistence photocurrent compared with IGZO-only phototransistors and exhibited high photoresponsivity of 61 A/W, photosensitivity of 3.48 × 10<SUP>6</SUP>, detectivity of 9.42 × 10<SUP>10</SUP> Jones, external quantum efficiency of 154% in an optimized structure, and high photoresponsivity under water exposure via the deposition of silicon dioxide as a passivation layer. On the basis of these electrical results and various analyses, we determined that CH<SUB>3</SUB>NH<SUB>3</SUB>PbI<SUB>3</SUB> could be activated as a light absorption layer, current barrier, and plasma damage blocking layer, which would serve to widen the range of applications of M-O-based optoelectronic devices with high photoresponsivity and reliability under visible light illumination.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

Caudal block is one of the good options for the management of lumbar and sacral pain control. Caudal epidural injection is believed as safe and simple procedure so frequently performed in outpatient departments with blind technique. We experienced transient mental change after caudal block injection with blind technique using local anesthetics. And the patient was recovered without any adverse effect. We report our case experience with brief review of the relevant literature.
