        제주도 지하수 질산염 농도의 시·공간적 변화 특성: 장기(1993-2015) 모니터링 자료의 평가

        1993년부터 2015년까지 관측된 제주도 지하수 장기모니터링 관측정(N = 4,835)에서 수집된 지하수 수질자료(N = 21,568)를 기반으로 질산성질소의 시공간적 변동 특성을 평가하였다. 제주도 지하수의 질산성질소 농도의 중앙값은 2.5 mg/L로서 다른 국가나 대륙의 조사 결과에 비해 다소 높거나 유사한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 지하수 용도, 행정구역 및 고도 별로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 특히, 산간 지역에 비해 저지대 해안가에 위치한 농업 및 주거지역에서 농도가 높음을 확인하였다. Mann-Kendall 및 Sen’s slope 분석을 활용한 질산성질소 농도의 추세 분석 결과, 하류 저지 대에 비해 중산간지역에서의 질산성질소 농도 증가 경향이 뚜렷하였다. 제주도 내 토지 피복의 시계열 변화 특성과 결부 지어 보면, 중산간지역의 오염 증가 추세는 농업지역의 확장 등 인위적 활동 증가에 기인한 결과로 판단된다. 반면,기지정된 지하수자원특별관리구역에서는 전반적으로 질산성질소 농도의 감소 경향이 나타났는데, 이는 지하수 관리 측면에서 수질관리를 위한 적극적인 정책이 유효함을 시사한다. 본 연구에서는 제주도 지하수의 질산성질소 오염관리를 위한 적정 방안을 제안한다. The spatio-temporal variations of nitrate concentrations in groundwater of Jeju Island were evaluated by an analysis of time series groundwater quality data (N = 21,568) that were collected from regional groundwater monitoring (number of wells = 4,835) for up to 20 years between 1993 and 2015. The median concentration of NO 3 -N is 2.5 mg/L, which is slightly higher than those reported from regional surveys in other countries. Nitrate concentrations of groundwater in wells tend to significantly vary according to different water usage (of the well), administrative districts, and topographic elevations: nitrate level is higher in low-lying agricultural and residential areas than those in high mountainous areas. The Mann-Kendall trend test and Sen’s slope analysis show that nitrate concentration in mid-mountainous areas tends to increase, possibly due to the expansion of agricultural areas toward highland. On the other hand, nitrate concentrations in the Specially Designated Groundwater Quality Protection Zones show the temporally decreasing trend, which implies the efficiency of groundwater management actions in Jeju. Proper measures for sustainable groundwater quality management are suggested in this study.

      • 정상과 갑상선 종양조직에서 사람 IGF-I 유전자의 발현

        Many of the growth-promoting properties of growth hormone(GH) are mediated by insulin-like growth factor-I(IGF-I), a highly conserved circulating 70-amino acid peptide. Recent studies have shown that multiple mechanisms influence IGF-I gene expression, including transcription from two promoters, alternative RNA splicing, and variable polyadenylation. In thyroid tissue, thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH) and IGF-I are the most possible candidates for follicular cell proliferation and hypertrophy. Actually IGF-I had autocrine and paracrine effect for tissue growing. We prepared thyroid tumor tissue mRNAs using single step method for detecting IGF-I levels according to different tissues, i.e., thyroid adenoma or papillary thyroid carcinoma. We used Northern blot analysis for IGF-I mRNA and RNase protection assay (RPA) for IGF-I transcription start sites. For Northern blot, we used whole human IGF-I cDNA as a DNA probe and for RPA, we used IGF-I exon 1 containing noncoding promoter 1 as a riboprobe. We got good RNA bands from Northern blot analysis around 1 kb (IGF-IA) and 7.5 kb (IGF-IB) region. To clarify the amount of both IGF-IA and IB mRNAs, we measured autoradiographied signal of IGF-I mRNAs bands using densitometer. In IGF-IA signals, there's no change among liver and thyroid tissues, but in case of IGF-IB mRNA bands, the signal was markedly increased in thyroid carcinoma tissues than that of normal thyroid tissue (85% vs 14%). In the study of RPA, all thyroid tissues used the same transcription start sites as those of liver's. We concluded that that this different regulation of IGF-I mRNA was originated from tissue specificity. That meant some tissue specific transcription factor/s were related to tissue IGF-I expression.

        소아의 상완골 원위부 과간 골절

        상완골 원위부 과간 골절은 소아에서는 매우 드물게 발생되는 골절로 대부분 주관절의 굴곡상태로 주관절 후방부에 직접적인 충격에 의해 발생하는 것으로 보고되고 있다. 전위가 없거나 경미한 경우 도수적 정복술 혹은 도수적 정복술 후 경피적 핀고정술을 시행하며, 전위가 심한 골절이거나 도수적 정복술이 불가능한 경우 관혈적 정복술 후 핀고정술을 시행하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 저자들은 전위된 상완골 원위부 과간 골절 환아 2예에서 각각 도수적 정복술과 관혈적 정복술 후 K 강선 고정술을 시행하여 만족한 결과를 얻었기에 보고하는 바이다. Intercondylar fractures of the distal humerus are very rare in children. The pattern of the fracture would suggest that the mechanism of injury involves a fall directly on the flexed elbow. Most agree that the undisplaced fracture can be managed conservatively. With increasing displacement and comminution, the opinions tend to differ. We suggest that closed reduction with percutaneous K wire pinning and open reduction with percutaneous K wire pinning offer a satisfactory methods by which to treat displaced intercondylar fracture in children.

      • 포기/비포기 시간비가 활성슬러지 floc의 특성에 미치는 영향

        Many researches on SBR(Sequencing batch Biological Reactor) for the removal efficiency of contaminants and effects of operation mode in effluent have been conducted. However, little studies for the characteristic of biological floc affected by operation mode have been made. The purpose of this study is to compare the effect factors on the removal efficiency of nitrogen and phosphorus in SBR system. And also it is to look for new information on the size and characteristics of biological floc by changed aerobic/anaerobic time ratio. Results shown that the removal efficiency of organic matter, nitrogen and phosphorus was higher in the operation mode of higher aerobic/anaerobic time ratio. The floc size and fractal dimension produced in higher aerobic/anaerobic time ratio were larger. These result implied that the settling characteristics of floc could be produces in the operation mode of higher aerobic/anaerobic time ratio.

      • 순막조건화에서의 소뇌 피질의 기능

        토끼 순막조건화에 관여하는 소뇌피질의 기능을 검토하고자 소뇌의 심부핵중 하나인 중간핵 그리고 소뇌피질 단소엽을 연구대상으로 선정하였다. 실험 1에서는 전통적 학습형태와 대조적 학습형태인 청각자극 무제시와 무조건자극의 배쌍이 조건반응을 일으키는지의 여부를 알아보았다. 이러한 배쌍에서도 토끼는 신속한 조건반응을 획득하였는데 이 결과는 소뇌피질의 학습형성기전에 대한 기존의 설명 즉 조건자극제시에 의한 태상섬유 활동 증가와 무조건자극제시에 의한 등상섬유 활동증가가 태상섬유활동을 전해 받는 과립세포의 축색인 평행섬유와 퍼킨지세포사이의 시냅스 변화를 일으켜서 조건반응을 나타나게 한다는 설명과는 부합되지 않는 것이다. 실험 2에서는 소뇌피질의 반응시간조절기능가설을 검증하기 위하여 조건자극의 기간을 전형적 조건화 지수의 2배인 800msec로 하였다. 그리하여 소뇌피질의 손상이 손상후 시행의 조건자극제시기간동안의 조건화된 순막반응에 어떤 변화를 초래하는지 관찰하기 용이하게 하였다. 피험동물은 손상후 조건반응에서 부분적 폐지만을 보였는데 이는 전반적인 조건반응진폭의 축소에서 기인한 것이 아니라 손상후 회기에서 조건반응 개시 시각의 큰 변산에서 기인한 결과임을 관찰하였다. 이것은 소뇌피질이 중간핵과 기능적 연관성을 가지며 조건반응출현의 시간조절역할을 한다는 가설을 지지해 주는 결과라 하겠다. The cerebellar lobule HVI was investigated in terms of plastic structure mediating the classical conditioning of the rabbit's nictitating membrane response(NMR). In experiment 1, animals were received tone stimulus(80㏈, 1㎑, sine wave, without white noise) continually during the intertrial interval(ITI). The tone stimulus was turned off during the CS period. This withdrawal of tone stimulus was adopted as CS^(-). Animals received the CS^(-) and corneal airpuff US parings in delay conditioning paradigm rapidly reached criterion like animals received CS-US pairings. Moreover, the electrolytic leisions of the interpositus nucleus selectively disrupted the CR aquired by CS^(-)-US pairings. The result suggests that this type of conditioning is mediated by the cerebellum as well and the cerebellum can associate the changes of stimuli itself. In addition, there was no transfer effect between CS^(-)-US and CS-US learning. The findings are discussed in terms of the convergence of the climbing and the mossy fibers on the Purkinje cells and the associative functions of the cerebellar neural network. In experiment 2, the long ISI was adopted(800msec CS duration, delay conditioning paradigm) in order to investigated the timing regulation function of the cerebellar cortex on motor learning. After the NMR conditioning(CS^(-)-US, group1 and CS-US, group2) reached the criterion, the cerebellar lobule HVI was electrolytically lesioned with four electrodes. The result showed that the CR was reduced about 50% in both groups and the effects were due to the disruption of timing regulation of the CR onset. Results indicated that the cerebellar lobule HVI is essential for the timing regulation of the CR onset. However, to understand the detailed neural mechanism of the conditioning of NMR, it was suggested that neural network approach including several structures resided in the cerebellum and in the brain stem(especially inferior olive) is more desirable than finding only one essential structure approach.

        복합재료 적층판의 유한요소 해석을 위한 효율적 경계조건

        This paper presents three boundary techniques which are useful for FEM analysis of composite laminates : 1) a rotational symmetric boundary technique. 2) a quasi three-dimensional boundary technique and 3) a contact boundary technique. The use of the rotational symmetric boundary technique is possible for a smaller FEM model. With the use of the quasi three-dimensional boundary technique. quasi three-dimensional analysis of composite laminates can be performed on the conventional 3-D FEM program. These techniques can readily be adopted to FEM programs.

      • O_3와 O_3/UV를 이용한 수용액중의 음이온계면활성제의 처리에 관한 연구

        Water pollution by discharging surfactant into receiving water has become serious. One of pollutants widely contained in domestic wastewater is surfactants. To remove these surfactants, ozonation has been used but it doesn't perfectly remove relatively non-degradable organic matter. Recently, an advanced oxidation process using OH radical has been developed and applied for removing such non-degradable pollutants. In this study it was treated Sodium Dodecyl Benzene Sulfonate (DBS) using Ozone and Ozone/UV process. The results showed that removal efficiencies by Ozonation increased as the dissolved ozone concentration, initial temperature and pH increased. The combination process of Ozone/UV for DBS removal resulted in 4 times higher reaction rate than the Ozonation process. The combination process showed higher removal efficiencies for treating laundry wastewater and the removal efficiencies was increased by pretreating particle matters.

      • 體力과 體格에 對한 調査 硏究

        A practical research was conducted on the subject of college of Liberal Art and the School of Education, Jeonbug National University enrolled in 1979. Physical strength index was examined by five stages (A,B,C,D and E) and so was current physical measurement system. (100 meter sprit, broad Jump grip strength, arm hanging and sit-up) Then the research findings are : (1) 100 meter sprit ; The finding depicts that there is no correlationship between physical strength index and 100 meter sprit, showing that E class kids are quite good records and D class kids are quite low on this subject. (2) Broad jump ; Taking a look at broad jump, we found close relationship between physical strength index and broad jump : the higher the index of physical strength, the lower the records of broad jump is, indicating supirer records of A class kids and inferior records of E class kids. (3) Grip Strength ; Indicating bullish records of E class and sagging records of B class kids ; the higher the physical strength indes is, the more the grip strength is lagged behind. And also it says there is close relationship between broad jump and grip strength. (4) Arm-hanging ; The students of B category are on the quite good record and lower records are D category students on this subject. It is deened that students with good record of physical strength index have poor records on this subject. (5) Sit-up ; Showing good records of A category of kids and bad records of C, we found close correlationship between physical strength index and sit-up records. The striking is the fact that sit-up have strong relationship to arm-hanging records.
