내진성능보강을 위한 능력스펙트럼법을 이용한 마찰감쇠기 설계

The main objective of this paper is to propose a retrofitting method using Coulomb friction dampers. The seismic performance of an existing building is evaluated, and an additional necessary damping is calculated using capacity spectrum method(CSM) if the evaluated performance level of the building is below the target level. The coefficients of the Coulomb friction damper are then calculated using the proposed formula, which is derived from the concept of hysteresis loop. Numerical simulations are made to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Central diabetes insipidus (DI) is a syndrome characterized by thirst, polydipsia and polyuria. Langerhans cell histiocytosis is one of the etiologies of DI. Recently we experienced a central DI associated with Langerhans cell histiocytosis. The 44 years old female patient complained right hip pain polydipsia and polyuria. We carried out water deprivation test. After vasopressin injection, urine osmotic pressure was increased form 109mOsmol/Kg to 327mOsmol/Kg (300%). Brain MRI showed a thickened pituitary stalk and at hot bone CT.CT guided biopsy revealed abnormal histiocytes proliferation and abundant lymphocytes, The final diagnosis was central DI associated with systemic Langerhans cell histiocytosis invading hip bone, L-spine and pituitary stalk. Desmopressin and etoposide chemotherapy were performed to the patient.

This paper presents equivalent linear system for benchmark building with nonlinear tuned liquid column damper (TLCD). The equivalent linear system is obtained first in terms of equivalent linear damping and second in terms of equivalent single degree of freedom system. Numerical results show that these equivalent linear methods can almost exactly predict the structural responses when compared with results by the nonlinear TLCD system. Finally, an equation which can estimate the peak response of structure induced by harmonic load is derived. This equation does not require any iteration process unlike usual procedures for the analysis of a structure with TLCD.
치은연 하방으로 파절된 치아의 탈회냉동건조골을 이용한 Intra-alveolar transplantation

외상으로 인하여 치아가 받는 여러 가지 손상형태 중 치관-치근파절이 나타나는 빈도는 영구치에서 5%, 유치열에서는 2%라고 알려져 왔다. 치조정 하방에 파절선이 존재하고 치수노출을 동반한 치관-치근 파절에서는 크게 두가지의 보존적인 치료방법이 있다. 첫째, 교정력에 의해 정출시키는 방법과 둘째, 치조와내에서 교합면 방향으로 재위치시키는 Intra-alveolar transplantation 등이 있다. 외과적 정출법은 1970년대에 소개된 이래로 교정적 정출법의 대안으로 많이 시행되고 있으며 높은 성공률을 가진 술식으로 여겨지고 있다. 본 증례는 외상으로 인해 상악 우측 중철치의 치수노출을 동반한 치관-치근 파절이 발생한 경우로 외과적 정출을 시행하기로 하였으나, 치근단 파절편의 길이가 짧아서 치아를 발거 후 회전시켜 재식하는 방법만으로는 파절선을 치조정 상방으로 위치시킬 수가 없었다. 따라서 치아를 발거한 후 파절편의 지지를 위해 치조와의 치근단부에 탈회냉동건조골을 이식한 후에 치근단 파절편을 노출한 후 suture splint를 시행하였다. 1년 3개월간의 관찰결과, 치조백선이 회복되고 정상적인 동요도를 보였으며, 염증성, 대체성 치근흡수 등과 같은 합병증은 발생되지 않았다. 주요어 : 외과적 정출, 탈회냉동건조골, 치관-치근 파절, 치근흡수
단주기 구조물의 비탄성 응답제어를 위한 최대응답 계수를 사용한 개선된 마찰감쇠기 설계방법

The purpose of this paper is to present a design method for friction damper (FD) for inelastic response control of short period structure. A critical design parameter of FD is maximum friction force (MFF) and previous study evaluated MFF using equivalent damping ratio which is based on the maximum displacement. This procedure, however, gives the overestimated MMF for short period structure. In this study, MFF of FD is evaluated based on RMS displacement response which is obtained by using given maximum response and peak factor. Numerical analysis shows that proposed method provide a reasonable MFF of FD for short period structure.

The monthly mean daily global solar radiation and sunshine duration, have been employed in this study to develop correlation model for Daegwallyeong during 2011. The corresponding monthly value of extraterrestrial solar radiation and possible duration of sunshine are calculated for Daegwallyeong meteorological data. Forecasting performance parameters such as coefficient of determination (R2), mean bias error (MBE) and root mean square error (RMSE) are presented as analyzed for the model. The model with multi-linear regression has the highest R2 value of 0.95 and average MBE and RMSE values of −0.11 MJ/m2day and 1.63 MJ/m2day, respectively. The model exhibited negative MBE which shows that the model resulted in underestimation of the global solar radiation relative to the meteorological measured value. The equation could be employed in the estimation of solar radiation at Daegwallyeong, other locations with similar meteorological characteristics.

The antigenic potential of CFA-001, cefazolin, a cephalosporin derivative produced by an enzymatic semisynthesis, was determined in Hartley guinea pigs. A battery of tests employed consisted of active systemic anaphylaxis (ASA), passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA), and indirect hemagglutination test (IHA). The results were as follows: 1) In ASA, no signs attributable to anaphylaxis was observed in guinea pigs sensitized with CFA-001, whereas OVA-sensitized animals induced severe anaphylactic symptoms; 2) guinea pigs did not produce antibodies against CFA-001 when sensitized with or without Freund's complete adjuvant (FCA) in homologous PCA tests. Meanwhile, antibodies against ovalbumin (OVA) were clearly detected; 3) No CFA-001-specific hemagglutination was observed in the IHA using sera obtained from CFA-001-sensitized guinea pigs. These results suggest that CFA-001 has no antigenicity potential in guinea pigs.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Compact endless cast and rolling mill (CEM) is an innovative process to manufacture a hot-rolled steel strip by combining casting and hot-rolling processes. However, the yield point phenomenon (YPP) of low carbon steel strip-processed by CEM induces a negative effect in the steel product and an additional post-process is required to remove the YPP. In this study, the influence of the dislocation density and the grain interior solute atoms on the yield point elongation (YPE) of low carbon steels were quantitatively investigated using 3-dimensional atom probe tomography analysis and X-ray convolutional multiple whole profile fitting. The YPE of low carbon steel is suppressed as the dislocation density increases and carbon atom content decreases. Because the dislocation density of low carbon steel by the CEM process is increased by lowering the processing temperature, the yielding behavior of the CEM products can be eliminated without any additional post-processing. The quantitative study on the carbon/dislocation density and YPP of low carbon steel not only represents the theoretical basis of the role of carbon-dislocation interaction on YPP but also provides an effective solution to optimize the CEM process for superior products.</P>
