<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P><B>Background:</B></P><P>Leukosan SkinLink (LS), which combines non-woven textile strips and tissue adhesive, offers the advantage of atraumatic treatment while effectively shortening the procedure time. We hypothesized that wound closure would be faster with LS than with surgical suture (SS) and the wound infection and dehiscence would be similar.</P><P><B>Methods:</B></P><P>A prospective, open label, single-center, randomized controlled trial was performed. Between November 2014 and April 2016, 49 patients with traumatic lacerations who presented to the emergency department were eligible for study inclusion.</P><P><B>Results:</B></P><P>The mean wound closure time was significantly lower in the LS group than in the SS group (1.48 ± 0.2 seconds vs 8.8 ± 3.6 minutes, <I>P</I> < .001). After adjusting the wound closure time according to the lacerations length, the time remained significantly lower in the LS group than in the SS group (1.0 ± 0.8 seconds vs 5.03 ± 2.5minutes, <I>P</I> < .001). During follow-up for 14 days, no significant differences in dehiscence and wound infection were observed between the 2 groups.</P><P><B>Conclusion:</B></P><P>Wound closure was approximately 4minutes faster with LS and there were no differences in wound infection and dehiscence rates. Thus, the LS could be used as a timesaving suture technique for acute traumatic lacerations in emergency department (ED).</P><P><B>Trial registration:</B></P><P>ClinicalTrials.gov NCT02333877</P>
A Phenomenological Study of English Teachers’ Professionalism

This study aims to shed light on English teachers’ professionalism by exploring their lived experiences of teaching English at elementary schools. To achieve that goal, four English teachers were interviewed in-depth and the phenomenological research method was employed to describe and interpret their experiences. The study discusses three fallacies such as fallacy of native speaker norm, fallacy of identity, and fallacy of island. Based on interpretations of in-depth interview findings and the discussion of the three fallacies, the Korean elementary English teachers’ professionalism was conceptualized with three components which are Teacher Language Awareness (TLA), Pedagogical Contents Knowledge (PCK), and values.

1941년 5월경에 윤동주는 다섯 편의 종교시를 썼는데, 이 작품들은‘기독교 구속사’의 흐름에 따라 창작되었을 뿐만 아니라 본회퍼와 함석헌이 주장했던 ‘고난의 신정론’과 관련된 주제를 형상화하고 있어 주목할 만하다. 그는 「太初의 아침」, 「또 太初의 아침」에서 ‘악의 가능성’을 허용하는 ‘자유의 양의성’과 죄를 짊어지고자 하는 ‘책임’의 윤리를 형상화했고, 「十字架」에서 고통당하는 예수를 쫓아 ‘대속적 고난’의 윤리를 통한 ‘순교의 의지’를 형상화했으며, 「새벽이올때까지」, 「눈감고간다」에서 고난을 견딜 수 있는 ‘종말론적 희망’과 ‘지금 여기’에서 현실 변혁을 실행하는 ‘길 예비’의 윤리를 형상화했다. 이처럼 ‘고난의 신정론’을 내포하는 윤동주의 ‘역설과 고난의 시학’은 종교에 내재된 정신적 가치를 통해 안으로는 개인과 민족의 주체성을 회복하고 밖으로는 제국주의적 폭력에 대해 저항과 변혁의 상상력을 지향했다는 점에서 매우 의미 있는 것이라 할 수 있다. Yun Dong-Ju wrote five religious poems in May 1941; these works are worthy of notice, because they were not only written with the course of the Christian salvation history, but also embodied a theme related to ‘theodicy of suffering’ that Bonhoeffer and Ham Seok-heon insisted. In “The Primal Morning” and “Another Primal Morning”, he embodied double-sideness of freedom and the ethics of responsibility; in “The Cross”, he embodied will of martyrdom through ‘the redemptive suffering’ following Jesus suffering upon the cross; in “Until Dawn” and “I Am Going with My Eyes Closed”, he embodied eschatological hope and ethics of ‘preparation for the way’ Like this, Yun Dong-ju’s ‘poetics of paradox and suffering’ connoting ‘theodicy of suffering’ may be very significant in that it recovered personal and national identities internally and aimed at imagination of resistance and revolution against totalitarian violence externally, through the mental value inherent in religion.

This paper analysed responses from in-depth interviews of four primary English teachers focusing on their concepts of teacher professionalism by exploring their lived experiences of teaching English in elementary school. The phenomenological research method was employed to describe and interpret their experiences. The findings of this study were categorized into five themes: (a)low confidence in their own communicative competence of English, (b)understanding students’ psychological development, (c)understanding the national English curriculums, (d)perceptions of desirable English teaching, and (e)conflicts of English teachers relating to the reluctant choice to be an English teacher, identity changes, and marginalization. Based on the findings of this study, the primary English teacher’s professionalism was conceptualized with three components which are TLA (Teacher Language Awareness), PCK (Pedagogical Contents Knowledge), and values which is an umbrella term including identity, conflicts, and morality.
Carbon Nano Tube 및 산화그래핀을 첨가한 폴리우레아 복합재 제조 및 그 화학적 특성 분석

폴리우레아 소재는 폴리우레탄 화학결합과 높은 유사성을 가지고 있으면서, 높은 기계적 강성 및 탄성을 가지고 있어 경량 복합재의 고분자 기지 상으로 연구되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 이방성을 가진 CNT (carbon nanotube)와 GO (graphene oxide)를 폴리우레아 기지 상에 첨가하여 제작한 복합재를 제작하였고 그 특성을 분석하였다. 원자힘현미경 이용해 CNT와 GO의 각각 1차원의 선형 및 2차원의 층상의 이방성을 확인한 후, 5 wt%으로 각각 폴리우레아 Resin에 혼합 후 cross-link 형성 및 건조 과정을 거쳐 복합재를 제작하였다. FTIR과 Raman 분광법을 이용해 제조한 CNT/폴리우레아와 GO/폴리우레아 복합재의 화학적 구조를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 폴리우레아와 첨가물의 화학결합 변화 없이 혼합된 것이 확인되었다. 전자현미경을 이용해 첨가제/폴리우레아/유리섬유 직물 복합재의 표면과 단면에서의 CNT와 GO의 분포를 관찰하였다. 인장 강도 시험 결과, 1 wt%의 CNT와 GO가 첨가된 폴리우레아의 경우 인장강도 향상이 관측되었다. Polyurea has been investigated as a polymer matrix for composite materials because of its high mechanical strength. Although polyurea has a similar chemical structure to polyurethane, it has much higher strength and durability. In this study, the fabrication of polyurea composites reinforced with carbon nanotube (CNT) and graphene oxide (GO) is demonstrated to enhance the tensile strength of the glass fibers composite. Using FTIR and Raman spectroscopies, the chemical structures of polyurea, CNT, and GO are investigated. As a result, spectroscopy analysis reveals that the chemical structure of CNT, GO, and polyurea is maintained during the fabrication of the composite structure. Scanning electron microscopy reveals the uniform distribution of CNT and GO across the polyurea matrix. The reinforcement of 1 wt% CNT in polyurea enhances the tensile strength of CNT/polyurea composites. In contrast, the reinforcement of GO in polyurea induces the degradation of the tensile strength of GO/polyurea composites.

In this paper, a sensor fusion algorithm to recognize multiple vehicles for lane change assistance is presented. While radar on the market can detect and track multiple objects with high accuracy in the range measurement, it has in general low accuracy in the lateral position measurement and cannot distinguish a vehicle from multiple objects, especially in the case that a vehicle goes along a guardrail. Thus, it is necessary to recognize left and right lane vehicles as well as an in-lane vehicle more reliably for lane change assistance. To recognize three vehicles in front with respect to lane, the situational awareness including shape and motion attributes is proposed. That is, the shape attribute is aimed to classify the detected object into a vehicle, a stationary structure (e.g. guardrail), or a non-vehicle, and the motion attribute is designed to determine the mobility of the object. Then, combing these attributes, the situational awareness algorithm is proposed by use of radar, vision, and in-vehicle sensors. Finally the performance of the proposed sensor fusion algorithm is validated experimentally via driving test data.
