Objectives : Entrapment of the suprascapular nerve is frequently overlooked in the differential diagnosis of shoulder pain. Methods : Suprascapular entrapment neuropathy is a well-defined clinical entity and EMG and NCV is used to confirm a diagnosis. But the diagnosis typically not considered until patients develop severe weakness secondary to atrophy of the spinous musculature that the nerve supplies. Results : A narrow suprascapular notch has rarely been reported as a work-related factor of this entrapment neuropathy. Diagnosis of suprascapular entrapment neuropathy is based on the patients' clinical course, neurologic, radiologic, and electrophysiologic findings. One of the most helpful evaluations was anteriorposterior projection with the X-ray tube angled 15-30 degree caudally. The suprascapular entrapment neuropathy is relatively uncommon entity of shoulder discomfort(pain, weakness, and atrophy). Conclusions : If the worker who used his shoulder joint repetitiously having the shoulder pain and muscle weakness, we must rule out the suprascapular entrapment neuropathy. And it is needed to evaluate the motions which cause suprascapular entrapment neuropathy as the ergonomic factor.
Glycol Oleates의 합성과 절삭유제로서의 물성

Glycololeates for the application of cutting fluid were synthesized from oleic acid and glycols such as ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol and triethylene glycol. The ratio of glycol-monooleate and dioleate in product according to the reaction condition was analyzed by TLC, CC and HPLC. Properties of glycololeates as cutting fluid were examined by various testing methods such as profile test, pH test, anti-foaming test friction coefficient test and emulsion stability test to compare those of base oil and cutting fluid trading in the market. Non-catalytic reaction of glycololeates synthesis was showed too low conversion rate, but too fast conversion rate and deep color deterioration of products was obtained with acid-catalyses reaction. Using the SnCl2 catalyst, conversion rate was medium range and products which suitable for the application of cutting fluid with mild colored and with desirable mono- and di-oleate composition was obtained. Cutting fluidal properties of glycololeates with SnCl2 catalyst were better than those of base oil, and were similar level to those of cutting fluid containing various additives.
Review of the Linkage Between Accident Management Plan and Radiation Emergency Plan

The correlation between accident management plan and radiation emergency plan of Shin-Kori Units 3 and 4 was compared and analyzed from the point of view of the adequacy of facilities, equipments, organization and manpower which are necessary for the related emergency response. It was found the equipment of accident management plan and emergency response facility of radiation emergency plan had different technical contents and scope of application, so there was no risk of mutual conflict and overlapping functions. However, since the accident impact assessment code in accident management plan and computer program of radiation emergency plan were different, it was necessary to ensure the agreement or linkage of the evaluation between them. When a radiation emergency is issued in accident management plan, the composition and mission of the accident response organization were mostly consistent with the contents of the radiation emergency plan, but some corrections and improvement items were identified. Accident management plan specified that the disaster response safety center belonged to the emergency operations facility (EOF), but the radiation emergency plan did not mention it at all. The main tasks of disaster response safety center were the movement, arrangement and connection of mobile emergency response facilities, on-site construction of other emergency response facilities, and on-site road restoration. According to the accident management plan, the movement, arrangement, and connection of mobile facilities (i.e., mobile generators, mobile pumps, multi-purpose communication relay facilities), which were considered very important for the prevention and mitigation of serious accidents, were under the supervision of the disaster response safety center. It was stipulated that the operation was carried out with the cooperation of a regular emergency organization, and that the start, operation and stop of mobile equipments were to be performed under the supervision of the emergency operation team supported by the regular emergency organization. Since this organization structure and assignment of duties could not be confirmed in radiation emergency plan, it was necessary to revise and improve the radiation emergency plan for the successful operation of mobile equipments and to link them with the accident management plan.
好氣性 固定床 生物膜 反應槽의 메디아로 폐칫솔의 利用可能性 檢討에 관한 基礎硏究 : 처리효율을 중심으로

This study was conducted to evaluate the possibility to apply the waste toothbrush to aerobic fixed biofilm reactor for media. The media used for this research was waste toothbrush (WTB) and Pall-Ring. The feed used for this research was synthetic wastewater which was made at the laboratory. The COD, NH₄^(+)- N and PO₄^(-3)-P removal efficiency variations with the organic loading rate was examined at this research. The conclusions drawn from these experiments are listed below : 1. When the influent COD concentration was respectively 300mg/ℓ, 600mg/ℓ, the COD removal efficiency was decreased with the increase of the organic loading rate and the COD removal efficiency for Pall-Ring was higher than the COD removal efficiency was 0.4~1.9%. 2. When the influent NH₄^(+)-N concentration was respectively 13mg/ℓ (COD 300mg/ℓ), 25mg/ℓ (COD 600mg/ℓ ), the NH₄^(+)-N removal efficiency for Pall-Ring was slightly higher than the NH₄^(+)-N removal efficiency for Wastetooth brush. The difference of NH₄^(+)-N removal efficiency was about 0.5~1.5%. 3. When the influent PO₄^(-3)-P concentration was respectively 7mg/ℓ (COD 300mg/ℓ), 14mg/ℓ (COD 600mg/ℓ ), the PO₄^(-3)-P removal efficiency for Pall-Ring was higher than the PO₄^(-3)-P removal efficiency for Wastetooth brush. The difference of PO₄^(-3)-P removal efficiency was about 1.1~2%. 4. COD, NH₄^(+)-N and PO₄^(-3)-P removal efficiencies show very small difference between Pall-Ring and Wastetooth brush as media. So it was showed that wastetooth brush can be used as media very successfully.
Substance P alleviates the atopic like skin manifestation in TNCB-induced NC/Nga transgenic mice

Background: At very high concentrations, substance P (SP) induces histamine release, but low dose SP may be alleviates atopic dermatitis (AD) progression by trophic and immune modulatory functions by showing increase of IL-10 and the M2 type of macrophages and decrease of TNF-メ and IL-17 and increased regulatory T cells. Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate the topically applied SP could be reduced atopic like manifestation in animal model. Methods: The efficacy of SP on the manifestation of 2,4,6-trinitrochlorobenzene (TNCB)-induced dermatitis in NC/Nga mice were examined. Treatment effect was evaluated by measuring the dermatitis severity, scratching behavioral counts and trasnepidermal water loss. The changes of TGF-?, thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP), activation-regulated chemokine (TARC) and IgE level were analysed. Results: Topical treatment of SP improved skin barrier in vivo and in vitro. Infiltrated immune cells and innervated small nerve fibers were reduced in AD-skin lesion. Expression of TSLP in epidermis, and TARC and IgE level in serum also decreased in the mice treated with SP. TGF-? secretion was significantly increased in skin keratinocytes and dermal fibroblasts. Conclusion: These results suggest that topically administered SP might diminish the overacting immune reactions in hapten-treated NC/Nga mice to develop the alternative drugs to treat AD.
Efficient formation of cell spheroids using polymer nanofibers.

<P>Spheroid culture has been used for suspension cultures of anchorage-dependent cells. In this study, we developed a new method for the suspension cultures of anchorage-dependent animal cells using polymer nanofibers. Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) nanofibers (785??nm in average fiber-diameter, 88??관m in average fiber-length) fabricated by the electrospinning method were added to each suspension culture of human embryonic kidney 293 cells and human dermal fibroblasts. As compared to no addition of nanofibers to the suspension cultures, nanofibers enhanced cell spheroid formation, thereby reducing cell death resulting from a lack of cell adhesion. Efficient formation of spheroids in the presence of polymer nanofibers may be useful for the suspension cultures of anchorage-dependent cells.</P>
