      • 60 Hz 자기장이 예쁜꼬마선충의 생식에 미치는 영향 연구

        60 Hz 자기장에서 예쁜꼬마선충(C. elegans)의 발생 및 생식에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 자기장 노출 조건은 $0{\sim}500\;{\mu}T$이며, 실험 온도는 선충의 일반적 배양 온도 범위($2 1.2{\pm}0.6^{\circ}C$)에서 일정하게 유지하였으며, 노출은 선충의 배양 기간 동안 지속되었다. C. elegas 야생형 N2 및 스트레스에 민감한 hsf-1와 crt-1 등의 돌연변이체들에서 실험에 사용한 노출 조건에 따른 생식력의 차이는 없었다. 여러 세대에 걸쳐 자기장에 노출한 경우에도 자기장에 의한 생식력의 변화는 없었다. 결론적으로, C. elegans는 크기가 매우 작으므로(길이 약 1 mm) 유도전류가 적게 발생하여, 자기장($-500\;{\mu}T$)에 의한 영향이 없는 것으로 사려된다.

      • 강릉수력발전소 발전수 방류 전후의 남대천 수질과 미생물 분포

        강릉수력발전소의 발전수 방류가 강릉 남대천의 수질 및 미생물 분포에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 정점 3 상류지역의 발전수 방류는 수질에 상당한 영향을 끼쳐 정점 3 및 정점 4의 수질은 악화되고 정점 5, 정점 6 및 정점 7의 수질은 개선되었다. 미생물 분포도 이와 유사하여 정점 3 및 정점 4의 세포수는 상당히 증가한 반면 정점 5, 정점 6 및 정점 7에서는 대체적으로 감소하였다. 이 결과로 미루어보아 강릉수력발전소의 발전수는 희석효과에 의해 수질 및 미생물 분포를 변화시키는 것으로 사료된다. The effects of water discharged from Kangnung hydropower plant on the water quality and some bacterial population of Namdaecheon Stream, Kangnung were investigated. The water discharged above station 3 affected the water quality significantly; the water quality of station 3 and station 4 took a turn for the worse, however those of station 5, station 6 and station 7 changed for the better. It was also true with the bacterial population; The number of cells of bacteria increased in station 3 and 4, but the number significantly decreased in station 5, station 6, and station 7. The data suggested the idea that the water discharged from Kangnung hydropower plant changed the water quality and some bacterial population by dilution effect.

      • 光照射에 의한 콩나물의 質的 變化

        光의 照射에 의한 콩나물의 質的變化를 調査할 目的으로 光度 및 光質別 處理를 하여 成長狀態, Vitamin C, chlorphnyll, cellulose등의 含量과 質感에 對한 官能檢査를 行하였으며 chlorophyll과 vitamin C의 關係를 chloramphenicol 處理에 의하여 調査해 보았다. 그 結果 白色光의 경우 50 lux와 100 lux 處理로 vitamin C의 含量 增加와 cellulose등의 生成이 促進되었으며 質感이 暗所보다 良好하였다. 그러나 200 lux 하에서는 매우 不良하였다. blue光은 他光보다 cellulose와 vitamin C生成에 效果的 이었다. chlorophyll과 vitamin C의 含量과는 直接的인 關係가 없고 다만 光照射와의 關聯性이 있는 것으로 推定되었다. This study was carried out to evaluate the quality of green soybean sprouts grown under light. The soybean was germinated under light through blue, red and white polyethylene films at 25℃ for 10 hours a day, and light intensity was controlled 50 to 200 lux. The contents of Vitamin C. cellulose and chlorophyll were determined and checked up texture by sensory evaluation of the soybean sprouts soup. In addition, the relationship of chlorophyll and Vitamin C was measured by treatment of chloramphenicol which has inhibitory effect of chloroplast, chlorophyll accumulating site. Vitamin C and cellulose contents were all increased by irradiation of white light at 50 and 100 lux and also texture of the sprouts was better than it of the sprouts grown under darkness while, it was very tough under 200 lux. Blue light was more effective for biosynthesis of Vitamin C and cellulose than white and reg light. Biosynthesis of chlorophyll was not relative to Vitamin C content directly. but the relationship may be concerned with light irradiation.

      • 편마비 보행에 대한 기능적 전기자극(FES) 치료 효과 : 3차원 동작분석기를 이용한 보행분석 Gait Analysis with 3 Dimensional Motion Analysis

        To evaluate the therapeutic effect of FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation) on hemiplegic gait, quantitative gait analysis was performed with computerized three dimensional motion analysis system (ELITE, B. T.S., Milan, Italy) with and without FES. The patient was 26 year old male with right hemiplegia as a result of severe traumatic cerebral contusion in left fronto-temporo-parietal area 7 years ago. The FES unit was consisted of one foot switch, one channel stimulator and one pair of surface electrodes. Active electrode was placed over deep peroneal nerve, 1 cm distally from the right fibular head to selectively stimulate the deep peroneal nerve, and reference electrode was placed 10cm distal from right fibular head between the Tibialis anterior and Peroneus longus. The characteristics of electical stimulation in this study included output current intensity : 1-50 mA, pulse width : 0.15 cosec, stimulation duration : 0-5 sec which was automatically adjusted on gait velocity, frequency : 25 Hz, and on-off triggered by foot switch. After FES for 1 hour per session, 3 sessions a week for 3 months, three dimensional gait analysis was performed with and without stimulation and data were analyzed. The result of three dimensional motion analysis showed that the ankle was dorsiflexed during swing phase and also corrected pathologic motion of other lower extremity joints with one channel FES stimulation on deep peroneal nerve compared to the gait without FES. And one channel FES with surface electrode was easy to handle and did not show significant complications or discomfort to the patient.

      • 페놀을 사용한 신경 차단술이 경직성 뇌성마비아동의 경직과 보행에 미치는 영향에 관한 정량적 연구

        The effectiveness of a peripheral nerve block with 7% phenol solution in children with spastic cerebral palsy was evaluated in 37children quantitatively. Kinematic and kinetic data as well as the clinical data were obtained in the computerized motion analysis laboratory before and after the nerve block. Dynamic electromyographic data was also collected from the muscles of the legs with the multichannel equipment before and after the blocking procedure. Obturator and tibial nerves were most frequently blocked. All the measurement data obtained showed significant improvement of function after the nerve block with phenol until 3 months after the block. After 6 months. satisfactory outcome was maintained in 42.9% of the children. The peripheral nerve block with 7% phenol solution is a effective and affordable method in the management of spasticity in the children with spastic paralysis in the carefully selected cases.

        국산 밀 품종 및 제분율에 따른 막걸리의 품질 특성

        This study aimed to evaluate the quality characteristics of wheat-Makgeolli (WM), a traditional Korean cereal alcoholic drink, using three varieties of wheat, namely Jokyoung (JK), Baegjoong (BJ) and Keumkang (KK). Samples of WM brewed from 100%, 85% and 70% milling rates of the three Korean wheat cultivars were analyzed for alcohol, pH, coloring degree, total acids, soluble solid, free sugars, and organic acids. As the milling rates in wheat decreased, total sugar content in WM increased while the pH of all samples decreased. The WM exhibited 0.95~1.27% in acidity, $10.2{\sim}12.5^{\circ}Brix$ in total sugar, and 14~16% in alcohol content. The most organic acids in WM was lactic acid, ranging in all the samples from 85.3~650.3 mg%. The results showed that BJ under a 70% milling rate had the highest reducing sugar contents and 15.97% in alcohol content. The carbohydrate content increased with the milling rate of wheat. Resulting in a positive correlation between carbohydrate content of wheat and total acids, reducing sugars (p<0.001), and alcohol content (p<0.05) in WM. Total sugar content is positively correlated with alcohol and reducing sugar content (p<0.001). Considering the yield, the milling rates will be adjusted to raw material prices.

      • HPLC를 이용한 고추의 품종별 Capsaicin 및 Dihydrocapsaicin 성분의 함량 분석

        Five kinds of Korean red pepper-pinkish, perfect, cucumber, blue, and ground cherry-were used, respectively, to analyze the contents of Capsaicin and Dihydrocapsaicin. The comparative analysis was performed separately in the seed removed red pepper and the seed included red pepper by HPLC. Among the seed removed pepper, the results for the content of Capsaicin were shown as follows: ground cherry(2204.0ppm) > pinkish(1324.9ppm) > blue(906.7ppm) > cucumber (77.2ppm) > perfect(12.9ppm), and the results for the content of Dihydrocapsaicin were shown as follows: ground cherry (1004.8ppm) > pinkish(248.3ppm) > blue(165.7ppm) > cucumber(13.9ppm) > perfect(0.0ppm). Among the seed included red pepper, the results for the content of Capsaicin were shown as follows: ground cherry(2190.lppm) > pinkish(1324.4ppm) > blue (919.9ppm) > cucumber(79.5ppm) > perfect(11.7ppm), and the results for the content of Dihydrocapsaicin were shown as follows: ground cherry(1017.4ppm) > pinkish(270.6ppm) > blue(189.0ppm) > cucumber(39.4ppm) > perfect(0.0ppm). Overall results suggest that in the contents of Capsaicin and Dihydrocapsaicin, the seed removed pepper and the seed included red pepper both were decreased in the order of ground cherry > pinkish > blue > cucumber > perfect, and this order is proportional to the strength of hot taste of red pepper.

        음료 개발을 위한 가공용 쌀의 수화, 호화 및 당화특성 비교

        This study evaluated the hydration, gelatinization, and saccharification properties of rice processing for beverage development. The properties of rice were studied on 10 rice cultivars (Samkwang, Ilpum, Seolgaeng, Anda, Dasan-1, Goami-4, Danmi, American rice, Chinese rice, and Thai rice) and employing four kinds of pre-treatment methods (dry grain, wet grain, dry flour, and wet flour). The results showed that moisture content of rice was between 11.88~15.26%. Increase in soaking time along with highest water absorption was noted in American rice cultivar (46.81%). The water binding capacity of Thai rice was higher when compared to that of other rice flours. In addition, solubility and swelling power of rice were 4.52~26.65% and 0.19~2.05%, respectively. The amylose content of Goami-4 was higher in rice processing. Using a rapid visco analyzer (RVA), the initial pasting temperature of Danmi cultivar was found to be the highest; the peak viscosities of Anda cultivar and Dasan-1 cultivar, and Chinese rice were higher than of those of other rice flours. After saccharification, the pH, soluble solids content, and reducing sugar content of rice processed through different pre-treatment methods were in the range of 6.22~7.08, $4.67{\sim}16.07^{\circ}Brix$, and 0.35~11.67% (w/w), respectively. In terms of color values, the L-value of dry grain, a-value of wet (grain, flour), and b-value of dry sample (grain, flour) were found to be the highest. Assessment of various factors and cultivars characteristics of the raw grains are of importance in the development of rice beverage.
