<P>Thickness variation of the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) produced during charge-discharge cycling is investigated to analyze the effect of SEI on the electrochemical properties of LiMn<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) is used to measure the SEI thickness and elastic modulus on the LiMn<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> surface. The SEI shows a broad thickness distribution due to the random nature of the LiMn<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> electrode surfaces, while the average SEI thickness increases with cycling and stabilizes after the 20<SUP>th</SUP> cycle. Formation of a relatively thin SEI on the LiMn<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB> surface accompanies low Coulombic efficiency at early cycling stages. The SEI produced in the early stages of cycling is vulnerable to capacity fading due to inefficient surface protection against possible side reactions. A fully-grown stable SEI after 20 cycles shields the cathode surface from the electrolyte, minimizing capacity fading.</P>

The effect of the precursor concentration on the electrochemical properties of hydrothermally synthesized Li2MnSiO4 is investigated. The synthesis mechanism is investigated by analyzing the chemical reaction as a function of reaction time. Results show that Li2MnSiO4 is synthesized by a dissolution-recrystallization mechanism through an intermediate Mn(OH)2 phase. Smaller particles produced from higher concentration precursor solution. Li2MnSiO4 with smaller particle size shows larger initial discharge capacity than that of Li2MnSiO4 with larger particle size which are synthesized from lower concentration precursor solution. A maximum initial charge capacity of 323 mAh g−1 and discharge capacity of 177 mAh g-1 are achieved through hydrothermal synthesis using a 2.1 M solution, while it shows serious capacity fading. Li2MnSiO4synthesized from 2.1 M solution shows 32% of capacity retention after 20 cycles. Smaller particle size of Li2MnSiO4 can induce more serious side reaction with electrolyte due to its larger specific surface area,which results in structural instability during charge-discharge tests.
Analyzing Box-Office Hit Factors Using Big Data: Focusing on Korean Films for the Last 5 Years

Korea has the tenth largest film industry in the world; however, detailed analyses using the factors contributing to successful film commercialization have not been approached. Using big data, this paper analyzed both internal and external factors (including genre, release date, rating, and number of screenings) that contributed to the commercial success of Korea's top 10 ranking films in 2011-2015. The authors developed a WebCrawler to collect text data about each movie, implemented a Hadoop system for data storage, and classified the data using Map Reduce method. The results showed that the characteristic of "release date," followed closely by "rating" and "genre" were the most influential factors of success in the Korean film industry. The analysis in this study is considered groundwork for the development of software that can predict box-office performance.

가넴의 프레임들을 바탕으로 정부의 대표적인 오프라인 PR매체인 〈위클리 공감〉지와 온라인 소셜미디어인 〈문화체육관광부 페이스북〉을 동일 기간 비교 분석한 결과 공감은 다양한 경성이슈를 주로 다루고 페이스북은 문화, 관광, 스포츠 분야의 연성이슈를 주로 포스팅하였다. 페이스북과 달리 공감지는 일화 중심적 프레임뿐 만 아니라 주제 중심적 프레임도 함께 보여주고 있었다. 또한, 페이스북은 공감보다 많은 기획메시지를 나타내었다. 네 번째, 페이스북이 사진과 도표의 비주얼을 자주 활용한 반면, 공감지는 만화 등을 다른 비주얼 유형과 함께 사용하는 복합적 비주얼 소구가 상대적으로 많았다. 다섯째, 정보원의 활용에서는 공감이 다양한 정보원의 보이스를 활용한 반면, 페이스북은 대체로 정부에 한정되는 모습을 보여주었다. 이러한 프레임 분석결과를 공유하면서 수행한 전문가 인터뷰에서 광고홍보분야의 학계와 현업의 전문가들은 대체로 정부의 PR에도 IMC관점의 접근법이 필요하다는 점을 인식하고 있었으며 보다 구체화된 타깃세분화를 바탕으로 서민 생활에 필요한 이슈를 개발해야 한다는 점을 강조하였다. 이와 같은 결과들은 매체의 유형이 프레임의 차이를 낳는 변인임을 암시하며 공중 관점을 고려한 IMC메시지 전략의 필요성을 암시한다. This study examined what message strategies the Korean government have utilized by analyzing Ghanem’s message frames in on-offline media channel, 〈Weekly Gonggam〉 and 〈Facebook of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism〉. According to the content analysis results, the study found that Weekly Gonggam often dealt with hard policy issues and Facebook often showed postings of soft issues such as culture, tourism and sports. Unlike Facebook, Weekly Gonggam showed both thematic frames and episodic frames. In addition, Facebook showed many feature messages. Fourth, while Facebook often used pictures and diagrams as visualaids, Weekly Gonggam often used mixed visualaids with cartoons. Fifth, Weekly Gonggam used diverse voices of information source, while Facebook heavily utilized the voice of government officials. Sharing the content analysis results, this study investigated what PR strategies the government PR practitioners need to develop. In the in-depth interviews, public relations experts answered that the approach from IMC perspective is very useful for the government policy PR. They also emphasized that practitioners need to develop the issue dealing with the lives of people with a more specified target segmentation. The results indicated that the typology of media is a variable which produces the difference of message frame and IMC strategy based on the public’s viewpoint is required for better practices.
