        김치유래 젖산균의 균체지방산 분석을 이용한 분류학적 연구

        표준균주를 포함한 230여개의 김치유래 젖산균에 대한 균체지방산(FAMEs)을 분석하였다. FAMEs profiles는 Euclidian Distance 17.5에 의해 7개의 Major Cluster와 1개의 Single Cluster로 나뉘어졌다. 이중 A, B, C 및 Cluster는 Leuconostoc속으로 분석되어졌고, F는 Lactobacillus속으로 분석되어졌다. 그리고 E와 G cluster는 두개의 Genus가 혼재되어 나타났으며 보충적인 연구가 필요하다. 앞으로 김치유래 젖산균의 균체지방산 분석결과를 기반으로 한 데이타베이스에 95가지 탄소원을 이용하는 수치분류학적 접근방법 및 Pyrolysis Mass Spectrometry 등의 화학적 분석 방법과 분자친화적 연구를 통한 종합적 분류정보 체계가 갖추어지면 젖산균의 신속, 정확한 동정 및 연구에 활발히 이용되어질 것이다. Two hundreds and thirty lactic acid bacteria, mostly isolated from Kimchi, including type strains were sued for analysis of cellular fatty acids. The 230 test strains were recoverd in 7 major and 1 single clusters defined a Euclidian distance of 17.5. These aggregate taxa were equivalent to the genus Leuconostoc (aggregate group A, B, C and D), and the genera Leuconostoc and Lactobacillus (aggregate group G). It is concluded as evident that FAMEs (Fatty Acid Methyl Esters) profile of cell can be used as a criterion in classification of lactic acid bacterial from kimchi. Additional comparative taxonomic studies need to be carried out on well chosen representative strains to determine the most appropriate methods of value.

        비만 개선 효과를 지닌 탄수화물 및 지방 흡수 억제 기능성 식이조성물 개발

        In a previous study, we developed a new food additive as an egg yolk antibody (IgY) against carbohydrate digestion enzymes for the regulation of blood glucose level and weight control. The IgY delayed and decreased the increment of blood glucose level after administration of sucrose in human being by 30% in 20∼30 min. We also developed a lipase inhibitor as a water extract of two kinds of herb, Platycodon grandiflorum and Solanum melongena. Twenty three volunteers were subjected to the intake of the egg yolk IgY plus the herbal extracts for 50 days. In average, the treated subjects appeared to lose 1.96 ㎏ of body weight and 3.4 ㎏ of body fat mass during the treated period. Furthermore, Panniculus adiposus and breech size were significantly decreased during the experimental period. Above results suggested that the administration of the dietary additives composed of egg yolk IgY and natural herbal extract improve the obesity by the decrement of body weight and body fat mass.

        야뇨증 환아들의 심리사회적 특성에 대한 다기관 연구 : 행동 및 정서 문제를 중심으로

        Objectives : The aim of this study was to examine the behavioral and emotional problems associated with nocturnal enuresis in Korean children. Methods : Three hundred eighteen children with nocturnal enuresis, together with their parents, completed the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL), Disruptive Behavior Disorder Scale according to DSM-IV (DBDS), Children's Depression Inventory (CDI), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children (STAIC), and Piers-Harris Children's Self-Concept Scale (PHCSC). Ninety-three normal students were selected as the control group. Results : Compared to the normal control group, the mean scores with regard to the withdrawn, social problems, attention problems, delinquent behavior, aggressive behavior, externalizing problems and total problems profiles were significantly higher in the nocturnal enuresis group according to the CBCL results. The nocturnal enuresis group also scored significantly higher in the ADHD and ODD profiles of the DBDS. The nocturnal enuresis group was more depressed and anxious than the control group according to the results of the CDI and STAI. The mean score of the PHCSC was significantly lower in the nocturnal enuresis group when compared to the normal control group. Conclusion : The results of this study suggest that children with nocturnal enuresis in Korea have clinically relevant behavioral and emotional problems. The findings support the link between nocturnal enuresis and psychopathology in Korean children.

      • Pit식 방파제에 의한 파랑의 회절에 관한 연구

        Wave diffraction has been studied for the prediction of wave interaction due to a pit breakwater. The present model is based on the linear wave theory and boundary element approach. The fluid domain is divided into two regions; an interior region whose boundary consists of the projection of the outline of the pit and an exterior region consisting of the remainder of the fluid domain. By utilizing an appropriate Green's theorem in each region, a pair of simultaneous integral equations has been derived for the velocity potential and its normal derivative at the imaginary fluid interface between the two regions. These integral equations have been discretized, and resulting system of algebraic equations solved by standard matrix techniques. Based on this solution technique, diffraction patterns in wave fields have been shown by the different various pit geometries. Finally, a numerical example for a navigation channel has been illustrated to present the effect of wave decay. In accordance with the condition of each pit breakwater, wave heights in the direction of leeward can be found reduced to 5 ~ 10% for the incident wave height.

      • 水深變化 및 反射率을 考廬한 港內波高分布에 관한 硏究

        A numerical model is presented for the prediction of wave height distribution in a harbor due to the linear wave theory. The method is based upon the solution of a time-dependent analysis including wave refraction, diffraction, and arbitrary reflection coefficient by the finite difference approach. The present numerical model has been validated in several stages. The result obtained from wave shoaling effect has been compared with hydraulic experimental result presented by Ito and Tanimoto. The portion of the diffracted wave heights in a harbor has also been compared with the experimental works proposed by Nisimura et. al.. Good agreement was obtained between the present model and previously obtained results. Therefore it is concluded that the model can be applied to predict the wave height distribution in a harbor with varying depth and arbitrary reflection coefficients. Finally, a numerical example of this application for the Hwa-Sun harbor is shown.

      • 소파식 케이슨 방파제에 작용하는 반사파의 추정

        유수부를 갖는 소파식 케이슨 방파제에 대한 파랑의 거동을 예측하기 위하여 파랑과 구조물의 상호작용에 관하여 연구하였다. 케이슨 외부의 전면의 유공판은 얇은 판으로 구성하였다. 유수부에 의한 에너지 소산은 Damping function에 근거하여 모형화 하였고, 포텐셜 흐름과 선형파 이론을 사용하여 경계치문제를 공식화하여, 고유함수확장 기법에 의해 해를 구하였다. 단일 유수부를 갖는 소파식 케이슨에 대하여 반사계수 및 Damping계수를 기존의 실험결과와 비교하였다. 본 연구에서의 소파식 구조물에 대한 반사율의 이론적 예측을 기존의 연구결과와 비교한 결과, 유수부내에서 Damping효과의 합리적인 선택에 의하여 이론치 및 실험치와의 결과 차이를 크게 개선할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. Analytical solution is presented to model the interaction of linear waves with absorbing-type caisson breakwaters, which possess one perforated front in one interior fluid regions (chambers). The perforated surface is idealized as thin porous plates. Energy dissipation in the interior fluid region inside the breakwater is modelled through a damping function. Under the assumption of potential flow and linear wave theory a boundary-value problem may then be formulated to describe wave interaction with the idealized structure. A solution to this simplified problem may be obtained by an eigenfunction expansion techique and an explicit analytical expression may be obtained for the reflected wave height. Using the experimental work of previous authors, damping coefficients are determined for single chamber absorbing-type caisson breakwaters. The theoretical predictions of the reflection coefficients for the one-chamber structures using the present model are compared with those obtained from laboratory experiments by other authors. It is found that the inclusion of the damping in the interior fluid region gives rise to improved agreement between theory and experiment.

      • 불규칙파를 이용한 파랑에 의한 회절에 관한 연구

        This research was performed the diffraction of irregular waves due to the semi-infinite breakwater. As for the simulation of irregular waves, the directional spreading function was divided by 10, 20, and 36 respectively under the condition of a constant division M=10 of frequency spectrum. Also two kinds of parameter Smax=10 and 75 were adopted for investigating the dissipation effect in the sheltered region. As the results of comparing with division number of the directional function, some differences were found between N=10 and N=36, but no any remarkable variance were found in the comparioson between N=20 and N=36. As for Comparing with the values of Smax, the diffraction coefficient distribution for Smax=75 was lower than that of Smax=10, and also irregular diffracted wave heights were almost lower than regular waves. As the verification step, the results of diffraction wave height and period's ratio obtained by this study were compared with Goda's results, a good agreement was found between them. Therefore the method of the this study may be useful for estimating diffraction wave height and layout of breakwater.

        응급의료센터 과밀화 해소를 위한 환자 전원

        To reduce the degree of overcrowding in level Ⅲ emergency care centers, authors have conducted a prospective study of patient who were transferred to level Ⅰ or Ⅲemergency center based on the non-emergent patient guideline currently used at the severance Hospital, level Ⅲ emergency center, during the period of 65 days from Jan. 1st 1995 to Mar. 6th 1995. Followings are guideline for non-emergent patient described by the Korean government low: 1) systolic blood pressure greater than 80/100 of normal. 2) respiration rate between 10 to 24 per minute. 3) pulse rate between 60 to 100 per minute. 4) body temperature between 36 to 37.5℃ by rectal. 5) relatively alert mental status. 6) patient not requiring emergency operation at the time of examination. The results were as follows: 1. Among the total 5,301 patients, 464 patients ranged from age of 1 to 82 years old were transferred to level Ⅰor Ⅱ emergency center after simple treatment. 2. Among the 464 patients, 276 patients were treated in expected hospital with medical problems in 101 (36.6%) patients, and 175 (63.4%) patients had surgical problems. 3. Among the 276 patients, 122 (44.2%) patients were admitted, 145 (52.9%) patients were discharged from the emergency room after adequate treatment. 4. Among the transferred patients, simple laceration (33.0%) were most common, acute gastroenteritis (12.0%), and simple contusion (10.5%) were followed. These results suggest that about 10% of patients visiting level Ⅲ emergency care center, can be safely transferred to nearest level Ⅰor Ⅱ emergency centers on the bases of non-emergent patient guideline described by Emergency Medical Service law. These guideline, if put into proper use, can reduce the degree of overcrowding problems in level Ⅲ emergency care center through out the country.

      • 생쥐 피부의 창상치유에 관한 형태학적 관찰

        The back skin of ICR mice were incised. The skin tissues were obtained from the incised wound on the 1st day, 1st weeks, and 2nd week after incision. And these tissue were fixed in 10% neutral buffered formalin and 2.5% glutaraldehyde solution. And, the formalin-fixed tissues were stained by PAS and alcian blue-safranin for the research of morphological changes of epidermis and the mast cells and granulation tissues of dermis. The tissues fixed in 2.5% glutaraldehyde solution were prepared for scanning electron micros-copy, and observed the crusts of scar surface. The results were as follows. 1. The collagen fibers in he granulation tissues at wound region were increased gradually, and became more dense than normal skin on the 2nd week after incision. 2. The newly-formed epidermis was thicker than that of normal skin at the 1st week, and increased in thickness to the 2nd week after incision gradually. 3. The mast cells were decreased in number than those of normal skin on the 1st day after incision, however, increased than those of normal skin on the 1st week after incision. On the 2nd week, the number of the mast cell were similar to those of normal skin. 4. Mixed mast cells containing both histamine and heparin appeared the granulation tissues on the 1st day and 1st week after incision. 5. In scanning electron microscopy, fibrin network on the scar began to appear on the 1st day, formed in a row on the 1st week. But fibrin network changed into irregular rough crusts on the 2nd week after incision.
