      • 尖端産業團地의 開發과 地域發展 : 淸州「테크노-빌」을 中心으로 A Case of Chongju Technoville

        High-tech industrial parks are a version of technoville in Korea in respect of providing a complex of industry, research, high-level education and housing function. The development of High-tech industial parks raims to promote national economy and balanced regional growth together. This paper illustrates the expected impacts throughout the national-wide level as well as local level and points out the necessity for various subsidizations from central govemment together with formulation of special law to promote them. The new technoville planned in the Chongju suburb is not only defferent from existing high-tech industrial parks and technopolis, but embodies a new concept of development. That is, the techonville is organized by local provincial government. The industrial park emphasizes the production orientation with the ville landscape and function of its residential and recreational area. There are many highly desirable locational advantages to the area such as the international air port under construction nearby, Taeduck Researth and Development Center, and an affluent overflow of skilled labour from the capital region. Furthermore, a favorable industrial linkage with existing industrial parks and rural industrial estate provides outstanding locational characteristics which can not be found in any other part of the country.

        This research focuses on introducing buying power index(BPI) as area marketing tool and estimating market potentials of 18 major cities. Buying power index measures the overall market power in each areas. The result can be use to evaluate market demand for retail and advertising strategies. We use 3 variables ; population of paticular regions, retail sales amount and disposable income to produce buying power index. This article concludes with some recommendations on the practical use of the index and future study.

        현재 의료진단, 화학공정의 모니터링이나 환경공학적 감시 및 제어 등의 분야에서 사용되고 있는 기존의 센서는 고가이며 용적이 클 뿐만 아니라 분석시간이 길고 사용하기 까다로운 것 등 여러 가지 문제점이 있다. 또한 측정환경에 영향을 주지 않을 만큼 충분히 작으며 빠른 분석시간을 가진 센서를 필요로 하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 센서들의 난점을 극복할 수 있는 새로운 형태의 FET형 전해질(electrolyte : H^+, K^+, Ca^2+, Na^+)분석 시스템, 용존가스(O_2, CO_2)분석 시스템의 개발을 중점적으로 추진하며, FET형 압력센서, 습도센서, 방사형 온도센서 등의 개별 FET형 센서에 관한 연구도 병행하고자 한다. Recently various kinds of sensors have been developed, being applicated to their own purpose. There are lots of difficulties to apply them to measurements in which the real-time monitoring is required without disturbing the surrounding environment. FET type semiconductor sensors, fabricated by the semiconductor integration technologies, have many advantages for their miniaturization, standardization, mass-production and in vivo/in situ monitoring. They also hold a very proper configuration for multi-functional sensors or integrated smart sensors, and wide availability by forming various kinds of physical or chemical sensing materials onto their sensing gates.

      • 3D Transformation Based on Membrane-Type Electronic Devices and Supportive Plastic Frameworks

        This presentation deals with a means of transforming membrane-type electronic devices into desirable three-dimensional shapes in mild and stable manners. The strategy begins with creating printable thin structure of electronic devices and supportive plastic (ABS copolymer used in this study) framework separately and lamination process. ABS framework serves as a mechanical supporter and undergoes plasticization and transformation by thermal annealing or plasticizer. The optical, mechanical, and electrical analysis show that plasticization releases stress concentration on the device layer, frazile area in perticular, and allows 3D transformation without electrical failure. Finally, some examples of 3D electronic devices such as image sensor arrays, LED displays, IGZO transistors developed using this method will be demonstrated.

      • Curvilinear Electronics Formed Using Silicon Membrane Circuits and Elastomeric Transfer Elements

        <P>Materials and methods to achieve electronics intimately integrated on the surfaces of substrates with complex, curvilinear shapes are described. The approach exploits silicon membranes in circuit mesh structures that can be deformed in controlled ways using thin, elastomeric films. Experimental and theoretical studies of the micromechanics of such curvilinear electronics demonstrate the underlying concepts. Electrical measurements illustrate the high yields that can be obtained. The results represent significant experimental and theoretical advances over recently reported concepts for creating hemispherical photodetectors in electronic eye cameras and for using printable silicon nanoribbons/membranes in flexible electronics. The results might provide practical routes to the integration of high performance electronics with biological tissues and other systems of interest for new applications.</P> <B>Graphic Abstract</B> <P>Strategies for conformal wrapping of single crystalline silicon electronics onto the surfaces of curvilinear substrates are presented (see image). The approach uses silicon membranes in non-coplanar mesh layouts with thin, elastomeric transfer elements to accomplish a planar to curvilinear geometry transformation.       • Bifunctional Sensing Characteristics of Chemical Vapor Deposition Synthesized Atomic-Layered MoS<sub>2</sub>

        <P>Two-dimensional (2D) molybdenum disulfide (MoS<SUB>2</SUB>) atomic layers have a strong potential to be adopted for 2D electronic components due to extraordinary and novel properties not available in their bulk foams. Unique properties of the MoS<SUB>2</SUB>, including quasi-2D crystallinity, ultrahigh surface-to-volume, and a high absorption coefficient, have enabled high-performance sensor applications. However, implementation of only a single-functional sensor presents a limitation for various advanced multifunctional sensor applications within a single device. Here, we demonstrate the charge-transfer-based sensitive (detection of 120 ppb of NO<SUB>2</SUB>) and selective gas-sensing capability of the chemical vapor deposition synthesized MoS<SUB>2</SUB> and good photosensing characteristics, including moderate photoresponsivity (∼71 mA/W), reliable photoresponse, and rapid photoswitching (<500 ms).       • 디지틀 QAM시스템과 아날로그 FM시스템간의 干涉影響

        본 논문에서는 DIV시스템에서의 디지틀 QAM 시스템과 아날로그 FM시스템 상호간의 간섭 영향에 대해 고찰하였다. 먼저 아날로그 FM 시스템과 디지틀 QAM시스템 상호간의 간섭환경하에서 디지틀 QAM신호의 오율식과 아날로그 FM신호의 기저대역에서의 신호대 간섭잡음 전력비(SNR)에 대한 일반식을 유도하여 그의 계산결과를 반송파 대 잡음 전력비(CNR), 반송파 대 간섭파 전력비(CIR), 정규화 반송파 주파수차(X)를 함수로 하여 그래프에 나타내었다. 같은 무선주파수 대역내에서 디지틀 QAM시스템과 아날로그 FM 시스템이 공존하기 위한 각 함수의 수치값을 그래프로부터 구할 수 있었다. The mutual interference effects between analog FM system and digital QAM system have been analyzed and discussed under DIV system. At first, the error rate equation of digital QAM signal and the baseband signal to interference noise ratio(SNR) equation for analog FM signal have been derived in environment of noise and mutual interference. And the numerically calculated results are shown in graphs as functions of carrier to interference ratio(CIR), carrier to noise ratio(CNR), normalized carrier frequency separation(X). From the graphs, numerical value of each function can be obtained for the coexistance of analog FM system and digital QAM system in a same radio frequency band.

      • A nationwide study of the incidence rate of herb-induced liver injury in Korea

        <P>Discrepant incidence has been reported regarding the incidence of herb-induced liver injury (HILI). To address the growing worldwide concern of HILI, we evaluated the risk of HILI in a nationwide prospective study. Between April 2013 and January 2016, 1001 inpatients (360 males and 641 females) from 10 tertiary hospitals throughout South Korea were treated with herbal drugs and had their liver enzymes periodically measured. A total of six patients met the criteria for HILI with RUCAM scores ranging from 4 to 7. All these participants were women and developed the hepatocellular type of HILI. One HILI participant met the criteria for <I>Hy</I>’s law; however, none of six cases presented clinical symptoms related to liver injury. This is the first nationwide prospective study that estimated the extent of the incidence of HILI [total: 0.60%, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.12–1.08; women: 0.95%, 95% CI 0.19–1.68] and described its features in hospitalized participants.</P><P><B>Electronic supplementary material</B></P><P>The online version of this article (doi:10.1007/s00204-017-2007-9) contains supplementary material, which is available to authorized users.</P>
