        Analysis of the Visual Presentation Contents of Film Posters: A Case Study of Korean Drama Film Posters from 2018 to 2022

        Since the beginning of the 21st century, the Korean film industry has been booming, attracting the worldwide attention and winning numerous awards in various international film festivals. Film poster, as an important means of modern film promotion, also needs constant innovation and advancement. Therefore, the representation methods of the film poster, such as its visual elements become crucial to future Korean filmmakers. In this paper, with film poster as the subject, the presentation form of each visual element was analyzed. Firstly, based on the theoretical basis of the previous research and literature review of the elements of film poster design, items were proposed for the analysis the expression characteristics of film posters, and investigations were conducted through content analysis. As the research scope limited to Korean drama films released in South Korea, this paper mainly focused on the study of 50 film posters produced from 2018 to 2022. To conduct the research, visual elements of film posters were divided into four items (typography, layout, color and main visual), and accordingly. The visual representation types of such film posters were summarized. The following research results were obtained: firstly, the sans-serif was more frequently used in the poster title of drama films. The frequency of horizontal titles was overwhelmingly the highest. Secondly, the lower-end title layout was most frequently used. Thirdly, in terms of color, colorless titles were was most frequently used, throughout the years, the use of colored titles has increased slightly. Fourthly, in main visual, the image type that used photography had the highest frequency. In terms of the types of contents and number of actors, most of them were character-centered and had more than four actors. The impact and attention of the visual elements presented in film posters are of great significance. As a representative medium for film promotion, posters can arouse public interest and resonance in reflecting the nature and characteristics of films, thereby guiding the posters to be remembered, which will in turn expand the impression of films. In case that the parts of the design of film posters coordinate with each other and get balanced, the characteristics of such form of expression will shed light on the development path of film posters. It is hoped that this study could be used as the basic materials for formulating performance strategies of drama film poster design in the future, and could be helpful to the drama film poster designers.

        A novel CNN based security guaranteed image watermarking generation scenario for smart city applications

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The rise of machine learning increases the current computing capabilities and paves the way to novel disruptive applications. In the current era of big data, the application of image retrieval technology for large-scale data is a popular research area. To ensure the robustness and security of digital image watermarking, we propose a novel algorithm using synergetic neural networks. The algorithm first processes a meaningful gray watermark image, then embeds it as a watermark signal into the block Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) component. The companion algorithm for detection and extraction of the watermark uses a cooperative neural network, where the suspected watermark signal is used as the input while the output consists in the result of the recognition process. The simulation experiments show that the algorithm can complete certain image processing operations with improved performance, not only simultaneously completing watermark detection and extraction, but also efficiently determining the watermark attribution. Compared with other state-of-the-art models, the proposed model obtains an optimal Peak Signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR).</P>

        Crowd evacuation simulation is an important research issue for designing reasonable building layouts and planning more effective evacuation routes. The social force model (SFM) is an important pedestrian movement model, and is widely used in crowd evacuation simulations. The model can effectively simulate crowd evacuation behaviors in a simple scene, but for a multi-obstacle scene, the model could result in some undesirable problems, such as pedestrian evacuation trajectory oscillation, pedestrian stagnation and poor evacuation routing. This paper analyzes the causes of these problems and proposes an improved SFM for complex multi-obstacle scenes. The new model adds navigation points and walking shortest route principles to the SFM. Based on the proposed model, a crowd evacuation simulation system is developed, and the crowd evacuation simulation was carried out in various scenes, including some with simple obstacles, as well as those with multi-obstacles. Experiments show that the pedestrians in the proposed model can effectively bypass obstacles and plan reasonable evacuation routes.

        Study of oxidation behavior and tensile properties of candidate superalloys in the air ingress simulation scenario

        Air ingress incidents are major safety accidents in very-high-temperature reactors (VHTRs). Air containing a high volume fraction of oxygen may cause severe oxidation of core components at the VHTR, especially for the significantly thin alloy tube wall in the intermediate heat exchanger (IHE). The research objects of this study are Inconel 617 and Incoloy 800H, two candidate alloys for IHE in VHTR. The air ingress accident scenario is simulated with high-temperature air flow at 950 C. A continuous oxide scale was formed on the surfaces of both the alloys after the experiment. Because the oxide scale of Inconel 617 has a loose structure, whereas that of Incoloy 800H is denser, Inconel 617 exhibited significantly more severe internal oxidation than Incoloy 800H. Further, Inconel 617 showed a significant decrease in ultimate tensile strength and plasticity after aging for 200 h, whereas Incoloy 800H maintained its tensile properties satisfactorily. Through control experiment under vacuum, we preliminarily concluded that serious internal oxidation is the primary reason for the decline in the tensile properties of Inconel 617

        Identification of DNA methylation and genetic alteration simultaneously from a single blood biopsy

        Background High-throughput sequencing of blood cell-free DNA (cfDNA) techniques offer an opportunity to characterize and monitor cancer rapidly in a non-invasive and real-time manner. Nonetheless, there lacks a tool within therapeutic arsenal to identify multi-omics alterations simultaneously from a single biopsy. In current times, bisulfite-based sequencing detects 5mC and 5hmC at single-base resolution is the golden standard of DNA methylation, while the degradation of DNA and biased sequencing data are the problems of this method. Objective To identify the consistency analysis of methylation and genetic variation with single library, we presented a platform detecting multi-omics data simultaneously from a single blood biopsy using bisulfite-free method of genomic methylation sequencing (GM-seq) mediated by TET enzyme. Methods We detected methylomic and genetic changes simultaneously from a single blood biopsy in NA12878 and randomly chose ten blood biopsies from colorectal cancer or lung cancer patients to validate the ability of GM-seq. Results Similar cytosine methylation level between whole genome bisulfite sequencing (WGBS) and GM-seq were identified in NA12878. Moreover, longer insert size, CpGs coverage and GC distribution were outperformed than WGBS. In addition, the comparison of the single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), insertion-deletion (Indel) and copy number variation (CNV) in NA12878 or ctDNA from liver cancer between GM-seq and whole genome sequencing (WGS) show a good consistency, indicating that this method is feasible for detecting genetic variation in blood. Conclusion In conclusion, our work demonstrated a method for identification of the methylated modification and genetic variations simultaneously from a single blood biopsy.
