      • INVESTIGATING THE DEVELOPMENT OF BRAND LOYALTY IN BRAND COMMUNITIES FROM A POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY PERSPECTIVE

        Chia-Wu Lin,Kai-Yu Wang,Shu-Hao Chang,Jin-An Lin 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2016 Global Marketing Conference Vol.2016 No.7

Brand communities have been increasingly used by marketers to build brands. A brand community can be defined as a “…group of consumers with a shared enthusiasm for the brand and a well-developed social identity, whose members engage jointly in group actions to accomplish collective goals and/or express mutual sentiments and commitments” (Bagozzi and Dholakia, 2006, p. 45). Recent research on brand communities has begun to identify the importance of consumers’ psychological processes in regard to developing successful brand communities. Based on the flow theory from positive psychology, we propose that flow could be generated by brand community characteristics and plays an important role in influencing brand community members’ attitudes toward the brand. Specifically, we propose a model that identifies brand community characteristics (i.e., community cohesiveness and information quality) that produce flow experience and how the flow experience impacts brand identification and brand loyalty. Members from 31 automobile brand communities participated in this survey study, and 580 validated questionnaires were returned. Structural Equation Model was used to test the research hypotheses. The results show that community cohesiveness and information quality positively directly influence brand identification and also indirectly influence brand identification via flow. Flow also positively influences members’ brand identification and, subsequently, impacts brand loyalty. The results from our research contribute to the branding, brand community, and flow theory literature.

Design Study of a Low-emittance Lattice with a Five-bend Achromat

Hao-Lin Liu,Eun-San Kim 한국물리학회 2016 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.68 No.8

The multi-bend achromat (MBA) lattice, which can provide a small horizontal emittance in the subnanometer range, shows promise for future storage-ring-based light-source facilities. We present the linear and the nonlinear properties of an optical design and the results of its optimization. The MBA lattice is designed as a five-bend achromat, and an emittance of 0.270 nm rad is achieved. The energy and the circumference of the designed ring are 3 GeV and 499.3 m, respectively. We investigated an injection system with a single-pulsed sextupole magnet in the storage ring. We describe the space allocation in the injection section and the particle dynamics of the injected beam. The investigation shows that our design exhibits a very low emittance and a sufficient dynamic aperture, and provides a suitable injection scheme for a 3-GeV light source.

Construction of a Time-Of-Flight System for Beams Charge-Bred by using the Electron Beam Ion Source

        Hao-Lin Liu,Hyock-Jun Son,Young-Ho Park,Taeksu Shin,Jongwon Kim 한국물리학회 2020 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.76 No.7

A time-of-flight (TOF) system adopting single reflection has been constructed to identify the charge states of ions charge-bed by using the electron beam ion source (EBIS). The reflection allows for time focusing of the system in a compact manner. The EBIS under construction will enhance the charge states of rare isotopes produced by isotope separation on line (ISOL) so as to utilize the superconducting post linear accelerator efficiently. The TOF system consists of an ion-gate, reflection electrodes and multi-channel plates (MCP) detector. The maximum voltage on ions is 20 kV, and the beam optics design was performed using SIMION. In the front end of the TOF an ion gate is located to produce a single 5- to 10-ns pulse operating at a maximum voltage of ±1 kV. The circuit of the fast switching system, which converts -1 kV to 1 kV in a few ns, was simulated for an equivalent circuit of the gate by using LTspice. The TOF system is being fabricated and will be connected to a Cs ion source for initial beam tests with Cs1+ mixed with background ions.

      • In situ directional formation of Co@CoOx-embedded 1D carbon nanotubes as an efficient oxygen electrocatalyst for ultra-high rate Zn–air batteries

        Lin, Chao,Shinde, Sambhaji S.,Jiang, Zheng,Song, Xiaokai,Sun, Yu,Guo, Linli,Zhang, Hao,Jung, Jin-Young,Li, Xiaopeng,Lee, Jung-Ho The Royal Society of Chemistry 2017 Journal of materials chemistry. A, Materials for e Vol.5 No.27

<▼1><P>A “three birds one stone” strategy for preparing 1D N-doped porous carbon nanotubes embedded with Co@CoOx nanoparticles results in the unprecedentedly high-rate Zn–air batteries.</P></▼1><▼2><P>In this work, we demonstrate a “three birds one stone” strategy for preparing 1D N-doped porous carbon nanotubes embedded with core–shell Co@CoOx nanoparticles (Co@CoOx/NCNTs) from bimetallic ZnO@Zn/Co-ZIF nanowires. The ZnO nanowires played three roles: (i) ZnO acted as a template for 1D metal–organic framework (MOF) growth, (ii) <I>in situ</I> evaporation of Zn during pyrolysis prevented the aggregation of the carbon framework and benefited the formation of hierarchical pores, and (iii) the excess oxygen species released from ZnO <I>in situ</I> reacted with metallic cobalt nanoparticles during pyrolysis, leading to the configuration of a Co@CoOx core–shell structure. The as-prepared 1D Co@CoOx/NCNTs exhibited excellent oxygen reduction reaction performance, including a high kinetic current (4.6 times better compared to 20 wt% Pt/C at 0.7 V), a low Tafel slope of 80 mV dec−1, outstanding stability, and strong tolerance to CH3OH crossover. The assembled Zn–air batteries with Co@CoOx/NCNTs yielded high open-circuit voltage (1.52 V), superior stability (over 100 h of operation), and unprecedented rate performance that ranged from 1 to 500 mA cm−2, while existing batteries have never achieved a galvanostatic discharge current density larger than 300 mA cm−2. Such exceptional rate capability was ascribed to the formation of a uniform interconnected nanotube network, facilitated electron transport, and an enlarged electrochemically accessible surface area in the unique 1D porous tubular structure.</P></▼2>

      • Salt Processed Food and Gastric Cancer in a Chinese Population

Lin, Si-Hao,Li, Yuan-Hang,Leung, Kayee,Huang, Cheng-Yu,Wang, Xiao-Rong Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.13

To investigate the association between salt processed food and gastric cancer, a hospital based case-control study was conducted in a high risk area of China. One hundred and seven newly diagnosed cases with histological confirmation of gastric cancer and 209 controls were recruited. Information on dietary intake was collected with a validated food frequency questionnaire. Unconditional logistic regression was applied to estimate the odds ratios with adjustment for other potential confounders. Comparing the high intake group with never consumption of salt processed foods, salted meat, pickled vegetables and preserved vegetables were significantly associated with increased risk of gastric cancer. Meanwhile, salt taste preference in diet showed a dose-response relationship with gastric cancer. Our results suggest that consumption of salted meat, pickled and preserved vegetables, are positively associated with gastric cancer. Reduction of salt and salt processed food in diets might be one practical measure to preventing gastric cancer.

      • An Improved RAHP/DEA Method and the Application of the Physical Education Teaching Quality Assessment

Hao Lin,Tie Ru 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of u- and e- Service, Scienc Vol.8 No.3

The teaching quality assessment of physical education for the undergraduates has a very important role for the development of the college physical education teaching. In the age of information, we can improve effectively the speed and accuracy of the assessment through using rationally the computer technology. The AHP method and the DEA method are two kinds of evaluation methods which are used widely by the scholars. However, whether we use AHP or DEA, there are some defects on the using and scope. In order to overcome these shortcomings, we propose the RAHP/DEA method. This method combines the advantages of the RAHP method and the DEA methods. And we enlarge the range of use. Finally, in the computer simulation experiment, we adopt the method to evaluate the teaching quality of college physical education. The experimental results verify the rationality of the project evaluation and the decision making process. This shows that the evaluation system and the evaluation method meet the decision making ideas and the practical requirements.

Prediction of random effects with misspecified AFT random effect models

        Lin Hao,하일도 한국데이터정보과학회 2022 한국데이터정보과학회지 Vol.33 No.5

The accelerated failure time (AFT) model with random effects has been widely used for clustered or correlated time-to-event data as an alternative to frailty model which is the Cox's proportional hazards model with random effects. The AFT random effect model usually assumes a normal distribution for random effect distribution. It is well known that the estimated regression parameters in the AFT model are robust against various violations of the assumed model. However, the impact of prediction (or estimation) of random effect, when the assumed normal random effect is misspecified, has been relatively less studied. In this paper, we investigate the impact of misspecification of normal random effect distribution on the prediction of random effect under the AFT random effect model. Here, the random effect is estimated using the hierarchical likelihood (h-likelihood) which is useful for the inference of random effects. The proposed method is demonstrated using simulation studies and a real data set.

        Hao Lin,Wen-cui Kang,Hong-juan Jin,Zhong-xiu Man,Quansheng Chen 한국식품과학회 2020 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.29 No.8

In this study, a novel colorimetric sensor arraybased on chemo dyes including porphyrins and pH indicatorswere developed to analyse the volatile organiccompounds of Chinese Baijiu with different grades. Ethylacetate, ethyl butyrate and ethyl caproate appeared bysignificantly different concentration in different Baijiugrades measuring by gas chromatography and mass spectrometryand they were chosen as characteristic volatileorganic components. The olfactory visualization systembased on colorimetric sensor arrays was used to identifydifferent Baijiu grades. The data were processed bybuilding the principle components analysis, linear discriminantanalysis and K-nearest neighbor classificationmodels with the results of sensory evaluation and olfactoryvisualization system. This work presents a new-style colorimetricsensor using sensitive chemo dyes which hassignificant potential in quantitative analysis of volatileorganic compounds, afterwards identifying different gradesof Baijiu.
