        기술교사의 실천적 지식 형성과정에 관한 연구 - 기술적 문제해결수업에서의 경험을 바탕으로 -

        이 연구는 기술교사의 실천적 지식이 형성되는 과정에서의 경험과 그 의미를 탐구하고, 이를 설명하는 실체이론을 발견하는 데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 근거이론 방법을 활용하여 질적연구를 실시하였다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 연구 참여자의 선정 기준에 의거하여 이론적 표본추출(theoretical sampling)을 수행하였으며, 총 14명의 현직 기술교사를 대상으로 연구가 진행되었다. 기술교사의 실천적 지식 형성과정을 탐구하기 위하여 반구조화된 면담과 수업 관찰, 수업에서 생산된 문서자료를 수집하였으며 수집된 자료는 개방코딩, 축코딩, 선택코딩의 단계를 거쳐 분석하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기술적 문제해결수업에서 기술교사의 경험과 관련된 범주는 총 110개의 개념, 39개의 하위범주, 13개의 범주로 도출되었다. 둘째, 기술적 문제해결수업에서 기술교사의 실천적 지식 형성과정의 중심현상을‘기술적 문제해결의 선(先)경험 제공하기’로 상정하고 패러다임 모형을 도출하였다. 셋째, 기술적 문제해결수업에서 기술교사의 실천적 지식 형성과정의 핵심범주를 ‘기술적 교양인을 키우는 기술교사 되기’로 도출하고, 이에 대한 이야기 윤곽을 기술하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 기술적 문제해결수업에서 기술교사가 실천적 지식을 형성하는 과정을 그들의 생생한 목소리로 담아냈기 때문에 기술교사의 경험과 의미를 심층적으로 이해하는 데 도움이 되었다는데 의의가 있다. 또한, 현직 기술교사와 예비 기술교사를 대상으로 기술수업에 대한 이해 및 실천적 지식 형성을 도울 수 있는 기초 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대한다. The purpose of this study is to explore the experience and meaning of the process in which practical knowledge of technology teachers are formed, and to discover the theory of substance that explains it. To accomplish this goal, this study conducted a qualitative research using grounded theory. In order to achieve this objective, this study conducted theoretical sampling based on the selection criteria of research participants, and a total of 14 in-service technology teachers were studied. This study collected semi-structured interview, observation of class work, and document materials produced in class to investigate practical knowledge formation process of technology teachers, and the collected data was analyzed through the steps of open coding, axis coding, and selective coding. experience of technology teachers in technological problem solving instruction were derived into total of 110 concepts, 39 subcategories, and 13 categories. Second, the process in which practical knowledge of technology teachers in technological problem solving instruction is formed was‘to provide prior experience,’ and a paradigm model was derived. Third, this study derived the core category of practical knowledge formation process of technology teachers in technological problem solving instruction as ‘to become a technology teacher who raises technological literate person, and described the outline of this. It is meaningful in that the results of this study helped to understand the experience and meaning of technology teachers in depth because this study has captured the process of technology teachers forming practical knowledge in technological problem solving instruction in their vivid voices, and it is expected to be used as a fundamental data for in-service and pre-service technology teachers to help understand technology instruction and to form practical knowledge.

        Suppression of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma-coactivator-1alpha normalizes the glucolipotoxicity-induced decreased BETA2/NeuroD gene transcription and improved glucose tolerance in diabetic rats.

        <P>Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma-coactivator-1alpha (PGC-1alpha) is significantly elevated in the islets of animal models of diabetes. However, the molecular mechanism has not been clarified. We investigated whether the suppression of PGC-1alpha expression protects against beta-cell dysfunction in vivo and determined the mechanism of action of PGC-1alpha in beta-cells. The studies were performed in glucolipotixicity-induced primary rat islets and INS-1 cells. In vitro and in vivo approaches using adenoviruses were used to evaluate the role of PGC-1alpha in glucolipotoxicity-associated beta-cell dysfunction. The expression of PGC-1alpha in cultured beta-cells increased gradually with glucolipotoxicity. The overexpression of PGC-1alpha also suppressed the expression of the insulin and beta-cell E-box transcription factor (BETA2/NeuroD) genes, which was reversed by PGC-1alpha small interfering RNA (siRNA). BETA2/NeuroD, p300-enhanced BETA2/NeuroD, and insulin transcriptional activities were significantly suppressed by Ad-PGC-1alpha but were rescued by Ad-siPGC-1alpha. PGC-1alpha binding at the glucocorticoid receptor site on the BETA2/NeuroD promoter increased in the presence of PGC-1alpha. Ad-siPGC-1alpha injection through the celiac arteries of 90% pancreatectomized diabetic rats improved their glucose tolerance and maintained their fasting insulin levels. The suppression of PGC-1alpha expression protects the glucolipotoxicity-induced beta-cell dysfunction in vivo and in vitro. A better understanding of the functions of molecules such as PGC-1alpha, which play key roles in intracellular fuel regulation, could herald a new era of the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus by providing protection from glucolipotoxicity, which is an important cause of the development and progression of the disease.</P>

        Solving buoyant surface jet, the most important problem is the expression of turbulent transport. In this study, the compatibility of boundary layer approximation of Algebraic Stress Model(ASM) which has been applying to predict the turbulent transport in buoyant surface jet are considered. The results which has been compared the computations of boundary layer approximation equations with experiments showed. As the results of this study, the hypothesis of boundary layer approximation expressed the transport by buoyancy in buoyant surface jet exactly, the hypothesis of boundary layer approximation was valid for simulation of buoyant surface jet by Algebraic Stress Model(ASM)

      • Effect of In-row Plant Spacing on Growth and Yield of Korean Native Allium wakegi Araki

        Allium wakegi Araki was grown at plant spacings of 5, 10, 15, and 20 cm to determine the effect of planting density on the growth and yield. Allium wakegi Araki plants grown at the 5 cm plant spacing had the lowest bulb diameter and bulb weight, while plants at the lowest density (20 cm spacing) had the highest bulb diameter, bulb number, bulb weight and fresh weight. In general, plants grown at narrower spacings produced significantly smaller bulb diameter and bulb weight, but resulted in the highest yields and plants per hectare and lower fresh weights per plant.

      • Antibacterial Effects of the Urushiol Component in the Sap of the Lacquer Tree (<i>Rhus verniciflua</i> Stokes) on <i>Helicobacter pylori</i>

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P><B>Background: </B> Urushiol is a major component of the lacquer tree which has been used as a folk remedy for the relief of abdominal discomfort in Korea. The aim of this study was to evaluate the antibacterial effects of the urushiol on <I>Helicobacter pylori</I>.</P><P><B>Materials and Methods: </B> Monomer and 2–4 polymer urushiol were used. In the in vitro study, pH‐ and concentration‐dependent antibacterial activity of the urushiol against <I>H.?pylori</I> were investigated. In addition, the serial morphological effects of urushiol on <I>H.?pylori</I> were examined by electron microscopy. In vivo animal study was performed for the safety, eradication rate, and the effect on gastritis of urushiol. The expression of pro‐inflammatory cytokines was checked.</P><P><B>Results: </B> All strains survived within a pH 6.0–9.0. The minimal inhibitory concentrations of the extract against strains ranged 0.064–0.256 mg/mL. Urushiol caused separation of the membrane and lysis of <I>H.?pylori</I> within 10 minutes. Urushiol (0.128 mg/mL × 7 days) did not cause complications on mice. The eradication rates were 33% in the urushiol monotherapy, 75% in the triple therapy (omeprazole + clarithromycin + metronidazole), and 100% in the urushiol + triple therapy, respectively. <I>H.?pylori‐</I>induced gastritis was not changed by urushiol but reduced by eradication. Only the expression of interleukin‐1β in the gastric tissue was significantly increased by <I>H.?pylori</I> infection and reduced by the urushiol and <I>H.?pylori</I> eradication (<I>p </I>= .014).</P><P><B>Conclusions: </B> The urushiol has an antibacterial effect against <I>H.?pylori</I> infection and can be used safely for <I>H.?pylori</I> eradication in a mouse model.</P>

        Recently the demand for cooling is rapidly increasing in Korea due to climate change resulting from global environmental changes and the residential culture centered on apartment houses. Furthermore, there is a concern for increasing energy consumption due to the quickly rising demands for comfortableness of air conditioning with the increasing expectations on quality of life of occupants in rooms. The existing air conditioning system can not satisfied the human thermal need as compared to the natural breeze in country side where located near mountains and river side. What is short in air conditioning? The natural wind fluctuates all the time in all directions and we can not recognize its behaviors. If the fluctuation characteristics of natural wind would be generated with existing cooling system, it could be a comfortable wind for us. In this study, the characteristics of natural wind will be analyzed through chaotic analyzing methods and will be compared to the mechanical wind. In this paper, the field measurement for natural wind which accomplished at near mountain in summer will be reported. Moreover the characteristics of mechanical wind will be analyze through laboratory experiment. If fluctuation of air flow would be generated by a chaotic theory, it could be a comfortable wind for us.

        간질환 환자의 갑상선 기능

        N/A The liver has been recognized as an important site in the peripheral metabolism of thyroid homone, particularly in the mondeiodination of thyroxine to triiodothyronine. It is also the source of serum T, binding proteins. As is to be expected, disease of the liver has marked effects on serum thyroid hormone concentrations and bindings. In order to evaluate the change of thyroid hormones in various liver diseases and to elucidate the relationship between thyroid hormone status and severity of liver diseases, both thyroid hormones and liver functions were measured and analyzed in 110 patients with various liver diseases who were admitted to Yonsei University Severance Hospital during the period from April 1986 to October 1986. The results were as follows: 1) In various liver disease, acute hepatitis, fatty liver, chronic persistent hepatitis and chronic active hepatitis showed no significant difference in serum T3; T4, FT4, TSH and T3/T4 compared to normal controls. 2) The serum T3, T4 and FT4 of liver cirrhosis were signficantly lower than those of control group. but serum TSH, T3/T4 were within normal limits in liver cirrhosis. 3) The serum T3 and T4 and of hepatoma was significantly lower than those of control group, but mean serum FTTSH and T3/T4 showed no significant difference between hepatoma and control group. 4) The mean serum T3 level of seven patients with Child's class A was 100.73±25.44ng/dl, thirteen patients with class B 76.42±14.40ng/dl, and eighteen patients of class C 65.18±23.19ng/dl. There was a significant statistical difference among Child's class A, B and C. 5) There was no significant correlation between serum T3 and liver functions in Child's class A of liver cirrhosis. Serum T3 was significantly correlated with-total protein and albumin in Child's class B, with total protein, albumin and prothrombin time in Child class's C. 6) In liver cirrhosis, low serum T3 group (T3 <80 ng/dl) had a significant decrease in total protein, albumin and prolonged prothrombin time than normal serum T3 group (80 ng/dl < T3 < 220 ng/dl). 7) Serum T3 decreased significanlty in liver cirrhosis with ascites than in those without ascites. In conclusion, in liver cirrhosis and hepatoma, significant decrease in serum T3 and T4 level were observed and particularly serum T3 level may be useful in assessing the severity of hepato-cellular damage in liver cirrhosis.
