      • 유기물 수용액에 있어서 섬유상 활성탄의 다성분 흡착 특성

        본 연구에서는 섬유상 활성탄에 의한 페놀류의 단일성분계와 다성분계 등은 흡착평형 데이터를 실험에 의하여 측정하였고 각 데이터는 기존의 제시된 여러가지 등온식을 이용하여 해석하였다. 또한 섬유산 활성탄에 대한 페놀류의 흡착퍼텐셜 분포와 경쟁흡착을 규명하였고 다성분계에 대해 Freundlich 형 등온식을 적용한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1) 섬유상 활성탄에 의한 phenol, PCP와 PNP 수용액의 단일성분계 등은 흡착평형 데이터를 실험으로 측정하여 기존 모델식으로 해석한 결과 페놀류의 흡착평형을 가장 잘 나타내는 식은 Freundlich 등온식 Three-Parameter 등온식이었다. Phenol : Freundlich : q=24.54C^0.30 Three-parameter : q= 21.62C/(1_0.40C^0.76) PCP : Freundlich : q=98.33C^0.25 Three-parameter : q=99.72C/(1+0.59C^0.87) PNP : Freundlich :q=126.28C^0.27 Three-parameter: q=142.40C/(1+0.70.C^0.83) 2) 섬유상 활성탄에 대한 페놀류의 흡착 퍼텐셜 분포함수는 단일성분계의 Freundlich 등온식의 지수 파라미터로부터 계산할 수 있었으며, 흡착질의 흡착퍼텐셜은 Phenol<PCP<PNP 순으로 증가하였다. 3) 페놀류의 2성분계 흡착에 있어서 경쟁흡착에 대한 관계는 Sheindorf's 등온식의 경쟁계수 값으로 예측할 수 있었다. 섬유상 활성탄에 대한 각 흡착질의 친화도는 다음과 같은 순서로 증가하였다. phenol<PCP<PNP 4) 섬유상 활성탄에 대한 페놀류의 2성분계 수용액의 등온 흡착 평형 데이타를 실험적으로 측정하여, 기존의 모델식으로 해석한 결과 Fritz와 Schlunder 가 제시한 실험식이 각 성분의 흡착량을 잘 예측할 수 있었으며 반면에 Schlunderf 등이 유도한 등온식은 섬유상 활성탄에 대한 각 성분의 친화력이 비슷한 경우에 만족스러운 결과를 주었다.

      • Development of a Real-time Measurement Program on the Size of Plum (Prunus mume) by 3D Images

        Plums (prunus mumes) are known as an effective healthy food. Thereby, their domestic demands increased gradually, and the industry related to plum processing is also expanding. In order to improve the quality of plums and to reduce losses in production, it should be sure to avoid them to Eurytomidae, the most damaging insect. However, it is difficult to distinguish infection with the naked eye, since the larvae of Eurytomidae are inside the nucleus of the plums. Therefore, prevention of them with a remote diagnostic system to monitor the size of plums by growth stages is required. In this study, a program to measure plum sizes through 3D images was developed to improve the ability to predict optimum timing for extermination. The experiment used the Xbox Kinect 2.0 sensor, allowing simultaneous measurement of color image and depth information. To identify the plums in images obtained by Kinect 2.0 camera. Because plum shape is round, we used the imfindcircles function, which is implemented in MATLAB R2017b for the circular hough transform. However, it is difficult to recognize plums by untreated images. Hence, we adjust the sensitivity and edges of the algorithms. The edge detection algorithm was performed before circle-finding algorithm. In addition, we developed and performed algorithms using color information to remove non-fruit parts and leave green plums only. As a result, recognition success rate was 55.3% (26 Normal Recognition / All 47 objects), and error rate was 7.1% (2 recognitions error / All 28 recognition). By looking at the depth image and obtaining the depth information manually, the number of pixels corresponding to the diameter of the recognized object is multiplied by the spatial resolution per pixel. As a result, plum sizes were estimated with 9.2% error rate, limited to plums identified in color images. However, in order to collect real-time size information of plums in a field scan quickly, it is necessary to improve object recognition and the acquisition rate of depth information by complementing the imaging conditions, analysis algorithms, and algorithm designs to represent color images and depth images entered in Kinect 2.0 in the same coordinate system and Sensor Calibration. With Information and Communication Technology (ICT) convergence system, it is possible to establish optimum timing to control based on understanding the growth of plums and harmful insects. These attempt to graft ICT technologies into the agricultural sector to respond to changes of the 4th industrial revolution in the world is judged that it is possible to boost the competitiveness of Korean agriculture and to function as a catalyst for promoting fused research by combining engineering technology with pest ecology research to improve the productivity of fruit trees and horticulture.

        Spent nuclear fuel is stored and transported in cask bodies, but they become embrittled with the passage of time resulting in lattice defects due to neutron irradiation. Cask bodies made by the quenching and tempering (QT) treatment are not safe and are hard to store because of embrittlement caused by high levels of radiation and heat over long periods. Recently, it was shown that the double austenitizing tempering (DAT) treatment resulted in a significant improvement in strength and toughness as a result of austenite grain refinement. In this study, we evaluated the effects of DAT treatment for improving the mechanical properties of low alloy steel. We also investigated the effects of cooling rate on the DAT treatment. It was found that the charpy impact properties of the alloy were improved by the DAT treatment, which used water cooling comparing, compared to the QT heat treated specimen. As a result of microstructure analysis, it was determined that the grain size and carbide morphology were affected by mechanical properties such as the tensile, hardness and impact property.         An optically efficient full-color reflective display with an electrochromic device and color production units

        In this paper, we report a full-color reflective display device by combining reflective electrochromic device (ECD) and different color production units (conventional color filter (CF) and transmittance controllable electrochromic color filter (TCECF)). A full-color reflective device with TCECF showed an excellent diffuse reflectance of 47.2% in the white state owing to the high transmittance of TCECF in the bleached state than that of CF (19.5%). This device structure can easily provide various colors with high brightness and saturation with a broad grayscale. Particularly, in the colored state, TCECF and CF-based full-color reflective device displayed color coordinates of (0.59, 0.34), (0.31, 0.66), (0.24, 0.30) and (0.65, 0.33), (0.27, 0.61), (0.15, 0.06), for red, green and blue, respectively, and alongside also exhibited color gamut of 36.8% (for TCECF) and 73.1% (for CF) for full color reflective devices.

      • Decreased Hardness of Several Grains by Enzyme Treatment

        Grains are nutritious foods that richly contain fiber, vitamins and minerals but it would be difficult to chew for some elderly people with weakened chewing ability. This study was aimed to find the appropriate conditions for reducing hardness of grains by enzyme treatment. To select appropriate enzyme, each grain (white rice, brown rice, barely, sorghum, and job’s tears) was soaked for one hour in enzyme solution at optimum activation temperature. Grains were soaked for one hour in selected enzyme solution at different concentration (0.1, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7%) under warming condition of cooker at 70℃, steamed in electric rice pressure cooker, rapidly cooled at -18℃ for one hour, placed at 20℃ for another hour, and then hardness was measured by texture analyzer. The initial hardness of white rice, brown rice, barely, sorghum, and job’s tears were 6.5 × 104, 7.1 × 104, 7.0 × 104, 7.8 × 104 and 7.7 × 104 N/m 2 , respectively. The lowest hardness of grains, 4.0 × 104, 5.0 × 104, 4.6 × 104, 5.7 × 104 and 4.7 × 104 N/m 2 were obtained with 0.3% of enzyme D solution while the hardness was not changed significantly with higher concentration. These results suggest that some hard grains treated with enzyme would become softer than white rice, and thus these grains may be used to prepare a healthier meal for elderly people having mastication problem.

      • Diphenanthroline Electron Transport Materials for the Efficient Charge Generation Unit in Tandem Organic Light-Emitting Diodes

        <P>In this paper, we report two new phenanthroline-based compounds, 1,4-bis(2-phenyl-1,10-phenanthrolin-4-yl)benzene (<I>p</I>-bPPhenB) and 1,3-bis(2-phenyl-1,10-phenanthrolin-4-yl)benzene (<I>m</I>-bPPhenB), for the charge generation unit of tandem organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). These two compounds exhibited high electron mobility of (5.8–4.4) × 10<SUP>–3</SUP> cm<SUP>2</SUP>/(V s), a very small injection barrier at the p–n junction interface, a high glass transition temperature of 123.9–182.1 °C, and exceptionally good operational stability. Because of such excellent characteristics, a single-stack red phosphorescent OLED (PhOLED) with <I>p</I>-bPPhenB showed a low driving voltage (2.7 V) and significantly improved maximum power efficiency (56.8 lm/W), external quantum efficiency (30.8%), and device lifetime (LT<SUB>95</SUB>, 130 h) compared to those of the control device using bathophenanthroline (Bphen) (3.7 V, 39 lm/W, 27.1%, and 13 h).         Thrombosis is one of the important complications of nephrotic syndrome. Still, the mechanism of thrombosis of nephrotic syndrome is under debate, but the presence of hypercoagulable state in nephrotic syndrome is regarded as the principal contributing factor to that. Venous thrombosis in nephrotic syndrome has been increasingly reported, but arterial thrombosis is relatively rare and has been reported mainly in nephrotic children. Authors experienced a 35-year old male patient with frequently relapsing nephrotic syndrome of focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, who complained sudden onset of claudication, cold sensation, numbness and cyanosis of right lower extremity. A diagnosis of thrombosis in right common iliac artery and thromboses in septal and distal branch of left anterior descending coronary artery was made by arterial angiography. The patient fully recovered after emergent thrombectomy and anticoagulation therapy.

      • Kinect 3D 영상을 활용한 매실 크기 분석 프로그램 개발

        매실에 있어 가장 큰 피해를 주는 해충인 복숭아 씨살이좀벌의 출현과 밀접한 관계가 있는 매실 크기측정을 통해 매실의 품질 저하 및 단위생산량의 손실을 줄이고자 영상 처리를 활용한 매실 크기 분석 프로그램을 개발하였다. 기존 연구에서의 선명한 매실 영상 획득의 어려움 및 알고리즘 여러 이미지에 적용 불가능 등을 해결하기 위해 본 연구를 진행하였다. 영상 처리에 필요한 선명한 매실 영상의 획득을 위해 Kinect 2.0 Camera를 MATLAB으로 구현하는 Kin2 Toolbox를 활용하여 Color, Infrared, Depth 영상을 동시에 모니터링하며 원하는 영상을 얻을 수 있는 독자적인 MATLAB GUI 기반의 현장 촬영 프로그램을 개발하여 촬영을 실시하였다. 획득한 영상은 MATLAB를 이용한 영상 처리를 하여 매실 인식을 위한 알고리즘을 고안하였고, 이러한 알고리즘에 10개의 매실 영상을 적용한 결과 약 72.6%의 인식 성공율과 약 11.6%의 인식 오류율을 얻을 수 있었다. 이와 같은 ICT 융합 기반의 스마트 농업은 생산물의 품질 및 생산 효율 증대에 기여할 것이며, 나아가 한국 농업의 경쟁력을 높일 것이라 사료된다.
