This paper demonstrates the effects of dust electrical resistivity on electrostatic precipitability. The effects of gas temperature, velocity and humidity on the collection efficiency were considered by used of coal fly ashes from fluidized bed combustion boiler. The experiments for collection efficiency were carried out in the pilot plant. The ashes which have non-spherical geometry and high electrical resistivity were used. Electrical resistivity is an important property for the collection efficiency in the electrostatic precipitators. Fly ash resistivity as a function of temperature up 350℃ and water concentration(up to 15%) has been experimentally investigated using the resistivity test equipment consisted of the movable electrode, dust cup, and furnace. As the resistivity of fly ash in the operating temperature(150℃) of an electrostatic precipitator was measured higher than 1010Ω·㎝, flue gas conditioning in the electrostatic precipitator of reduce the resistivity of fly ash is required.

This study was carried out to investigate the causal factors affected to skin browning of 'Fuyu' Persimmon during storage. The storage experiments were done under CA(Controlled Atmosphere), MA(Modified Atmosphere) and CA+MA. The results were as follows ; 1. The skin browning was occurred in CA+MA-storage after 50 days of storage, and at this point, O₂level was bellow 1%, while CO₂ level was about 10%. 2. 'Fuyu' Persimmon under CA-storage was softened, while the content of glucose and fructose were content increased, the content of sucrose was decreased after 100 dags of storage.

. Fourier transformation is used to analyze a time varying signal in the frequency domain. Due to recent progresses of computer technology, it has been possible to study multitude of time dependet input data effectively and in a relatively short time. The fast Fourier transform (FFT) has been developed for the effective use of computers in dealing with Fourier transform. An elementary theory and general properties of FFT beginning with the Fourier series is presented. It is also shown how to avoid some pit-falls arising in the usage of the FFT. A computer program of FFT for general purpose is developed. As an example of a practical application of this program, the power spectrum of six fundamental vowels of Korean language is resolved.
부유 단감의 연화방지를 위한 1-Methylcyclopropene의 실용적 처리방법

1-Methylcyclopropene (1-MCP), the gaseous ethylene action inhibitor, is an effective compound for delaying post-storage flesh softening of ‘Fuyu’ persimmon fruits. Conventionally, 1-MCP is treated on fruits in storage room by dissolving SmartFreshTR powder, the 1-MCP generating agent, in water. In this study, the practical methods were positively worked out when a small portion or a dilute of SmartFresh, either stuck on adhesive tape or premixed with silica powder, was enclosed directly into a modified atmosphere (MA) packaged fruit box. The 1-MCP gas was generated from the SmartFresh by absorbing moisture from atmosphere of the package. Treatments by these methods delayed the post-storage softening of ‘Fuyu’ persimmon as effectively as the conventional method.
