성인여성에 있어서 Arm crank ergometer와 Leg cycle ergometer 운동중 생리적 반응의 비교

The present study was undertaken to compare the metabolic and cardiorespiratory response differences between Arm crank and Leg cycle ergometer exercises at equal power output levels. The healthy nineteen female subjects(21.3±1.14yrs) continued two kinds of incremental exercise tests until exhaustion. Two ergometer pedaling speed was kept constant at 50 rev/min during all exercise bouts, and the equal power outputs selected for the two exercise bouts were 60% of VO₂max. 40 watts and 60 watts. Oxygen consumption(VO₂), ventilation(VE), heart rate(HR) were measured by Auto gas analyzer(Quinton Metabolic Cart, USA) and Stress test monitor (Q 4500, USA) during two ergometer exercises. And then VO₂. VE, HR were assessed at 60% of VO₂max (in VE, HR), 40 watts and 60 watts levels. O₂ Pulse was calculated by dividing VO₂(㎖/min) by HR(beats/min). 30㎕ of capillary blood was sampled for lactate measurement from finger tips. The blood samples were analysed by using a 25㎕ Syringepet and Auto lactate analyzer(YSI 1500 Sport, USA). SAS/PC package was used for statistical data analysis. T-test was applied on the physiological response difference between two ergometer exercises. The results with α=0.05 level were considered significant.
