Gallium Oxide (Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>) is preferred as a material for next generation power semiconductors. The Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> should solve the disadvantages of low thermal resistance characteristics and difficulty in forming an inversion layer through p-type ion implantation. However, Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> is difficult to inject p-type ions, so it is being studied in a heterojunction structure using p-type oxides, such as NiO, SnO, and Cu<sub>2</sub>O. Research the lateral-type FET structure of NiO/Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> heterojunction under the Gate contact using the Sentaurus TCAD simulation. At this time, the VG-ID and VD-ID curves were identified by the thickness of the Epi-region (channel) and the doping concentration of NiO of 1 × 10<sup>17</sup> to 1 × 10<sup>19</sup> cm<sup>-3</sup>. The increase in Epi region thickness has a lower threshold voltage from -4.4 V to -9.3 V at I<sub>D</sub> = 1 × 10<sup>-8</sup> mA/mm, as current does not flow only when the depletion of the PN junction extends to the Epi/Sub interface. As an increase of NiO doping concentration, increases the depletion area in Ga<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> region and a high electric field distribution on PN junction, and thus the breakdown voltage increases from 512 V to 636 V at I<sub>D</sub> =1 × 10<sup>-3</sup> A/mm.

The object of this study is to figure out charactristics on the deformation Haeundae beach through a statistical analysis by using leveling and water depth surveys which were carried out seven times. The result of the analysis is shows that a depositional summer-type-beach is built up from spring to summer and a erosional winter-type-beach up from fall to winter. From the analysis it can be concluded that the erosion is affected by moving drift sands along on-offshore direction and the deposition is affected by those along the longshore direction. Therefore, the most suitable protection method in Haeundae beach would be Zetty, Head-land or a composition structure incorporating detached breakwater method which is the suitable method for the protection of erosion along the longshore direction.

This study has been carried out to investigate into the beach deformation caused by the construction of a sea well. It has been performed to determine the values of three dimensional movable bed hydraulic model test on the basis of the values of the marine investigation of HAE UN DAE beach and two dimensional movable bed hydraulic model test. Form the results of this work a protection method of HAE UN DAE beach erosion can be proposed to be the construction of T type jetty.

The security of Busan waterfront space mostly depends on the reclamation of the coastal zone. The temperature variation is caused by the reclamation, and the model formula of correlation with the reclamation quantity in the coastal zone of Busan is derived(X=logl0α, α=the total of the reclamation quantity). For the determinating coefficient γ²=0.86609 Y= - 157.06659 + 91.766855X - 16.6357X² + 1.0534768X³- 0.006741X⁴ From this, the later temperature increase followed by increase of the reclamation quantity is predicted.

This study has been carried out to determine the values of bed-sand scale and time scale which are difficult at hydraulic model tests on the HAE UN DAE beach after performing a marine investigation required to establish a protection method about the deformation of HAE UN DAE beach by using hydraulic model test. The amount of topography deformation of HAE UN DAE beach has also been obtained by the two dimensional movable bed hydraulic model test in a quantitative way.

The mini-screw is widely used in orthodontic treatment for anchorage reinforcement. In mild skeletal Class III patient, retraction of mandibular dentition using mini-screw has been accepted as a reliable and stable treatment approach. In addition, the mini-screw placed in the retromolar area could be used for the uprighting of the lower molar. However, the placement of the mini-screw on the retromolar trigone or anterior ramus region need to be careful because of the possible risk of the “slippage” or “displacement”. Once the mini-screw is displaced to the fascial space such as pterygomandibular space, submandibular space or lateral pharyngeal space, it is difficult to remove. In this case report, we present a mini-screw removal case via an intraoral approach that was displaced into the pterygomandibular space while placing the orthodontic mini-screw on the anterior margin of mandibular ramus.

Background Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a common childhood neurodevelopmental disorder, and the prevalence of ADHD among Korean children has attained about 8.5%. Various genetic factors can contribute to the etiology of the disease. Synaptophysin (SYP) regulates neurotransmitter release and synaptic plasticity. According to previous studies, several genetic polymorphisms on SYP were risk factors for ADHD. Objective We investigated the effect of the SYP gene polymorphisms (rs2293945 and rs3817678) on ADHD in Korean children. Methods In this study, we examined the case-control study in 150 ADHD cases and 322 controls. The genotyping of SYP gene polymorphisms was performed using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). Results Significant associations in the genotype and genetic models of SYP rs2293945 polymorphism between girls with ADHD and control girls were found. The girls with ADHD having the C/T genotype were significantly associated with ADHD. In the dominant model of rs3817678, C/T + T/T genotypes were significantly associated with ADHD. The haplotype analyses showed significant associations from haplotypes of rs2293945 T-rs3817678 G and rs2293945 C-rs3817678 A. Conclusion Our results imply that the SYP rs2293945 C/T polymorphism in female participants may provide a possible effect on the genetic etiology of ADHD.

Ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL) is a disease that narrows the spinal canal, causing neurological symptoms. To date, there have been several reports on traditional Korean medicine treatments for OPLL; however, there is no study on complex acupuncture treatment. Herein, we report 2 cases of cervical OPLL involving cervical pain, upper limb radiating pain, and hypoesthesia. The patients were diagnosed using C-spine computed tomography and did not receive any treatment at any other hospital. The patients were treated with acupuncture treatments, including electroacupuncture, pharmacopuncture, and acupotomy, at Daegu Korean Medicine Hospital at Daegu Haany University. The results were assessed using the visual analog scale, neck disability index, and Japanese Orthopedic Association scores, and the results indicated an improvement in the symptoms. Thus, this study demonstrated that complex acupuncture treatment may be helpful for treating cervical OPLL and improving the quality of life.
