Modal parameter identification of civil structures using symplectic geometry mode decomposition

In this article, a novel structural modal parameters identification methodology is developed to determine the natural frequencies and damping ratios of civil structures based on the symplectic geometry mode decomposition (SGMD) approach. The SGMD approach is a new decomposition algorithm that can decompose the complex response signals with better decomposition performance and robustness. The novel method firstly decomposes the measured structural vibration response signals into individual mode components using the SGMD approach. The natural excitation technique (NExT) method is then used to obtain the free vibration response of each individual mode component. Finally, modal natural frequencies and damping ratios are identified using the direct interpolating (DI) method and a curve fitting function. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated based on numerical simulation and field measurement. The structural modal parameters are identified utilizing the simulated non-stationary responses of a frame structure and the field measured non-stationary responses of a supertall building during a typhoon. The results demonstrate that the developed method can identify the natural frequencies and damping ratios of civil structures efficiently and accurately.
Triterpenoid Saponins from Elsholtzia bodinieri

A new oleanane-type triterpenoid estersaponin, bodinierin C (1), along with two known saponins, mazusaponin I (2) and ciwujianoside C (3), were isolated from the water-soluble part of the root barks of Elsholtzia bodinieri. The structure of bodinierin C was characterized by spectroscopic means and chemical hydrolysis as 3β -Ocaffeoyl- 23-hydroxylechinocystic acid 28-O-α -L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→4)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→6)-β- D-glucopyranosyl ester. The known compounds were identified by comparing their spectral data with those of authentic samples or data reported in the literature. All compounds were firstly isolated from Elsholtzia bodinieri family.

To overcome the drawbacks caused by the intrinsic brittleness of cementitious materials, various types of fibres were incorporated as reinforcements. Extensive research on Ordinary Portland cement indicated that compared with the use of a single type of fibres, the mixed-use of multiple fibres can significantly improve both strength and toughness of the cementitious composites, which is referred to as the hybrid effect. However, such hybrid effect in multiple fibre-reinforced magnesium phosphate cement-based composite (HFRMC) still lack quantitative understanding. Therefore, this study conducted a series of experiments, including slump flow tests, compression tests, four-point bending tests and microstructure analysis, to investigate the hybrid effect of micro-steel fibres (MSF) and polypropylene (PP) fibres in HFRMC. Two types of mixed designs of HFRMC were conducted: 1. total fibres fraction (including both PP fibres and MSF) was fixed to be 1.6%; 2. PP fibres fraction was fixed to be 1.6% with different addition of MSF. Our results indicated that the slump flow of magnesium phosphate cement mortar varied around 7.6–8.8% with the hybrid use of MSF and PP fibres, while the flexural strength and toughness increased around 13.7–23.1% and 1.6–45.9%, respectively.

A series of pullout tests were conducted to investigate the interface bond properties of seven types of steel fibres embedded in the magnesium phosphate cementitious matrix. The micromorphology of the interface transition zone between MPC and different types of fibres was examined by scanning electron microscope. Test results showed that smaller diameter steel fibres with brass coating surface achieved higher average bond strength, higher pullout energy per unit volume and a higher ratio of material use. The end hook deformation provided the mechanical bond locally whereas the deformation along the length of fibre provided the mechanical bond distributed along the fibre. The failure mode and group effect of steel fibres were also investigated and reported.
Nrf2 Overexpression Predicts Prognosis and 5-FU Resistance in Gastric Cancer

Objective: NF-E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) is activated in several human malignancies. However, the role of Nrf2 in gastric cancer (GC) remains incompletely understood. In this study, we therefore analyzed associations of Nrf2 expression status with clinical features and chemotherapeutic resistance in GC. Materials and Methods: A total of 186 samples from GC patients who underwent gastrectomy were used for prognostic assessment. A further 142 samples from GC cases who received first-line combination chemotherapy were applied for investigation of chemoresistance. The Nrf2 expression was evaluated by immunohistochemistry in GC samples, and its relationship with clinicopathological parameters and chemotherapy sensitivity was analyzed. The effect of Nrf2 gene silencing on chemotherapy resistance was also examined by cell viability assay in vivo. Results: Of the 186 patients with GC, 104/186 (55.9%) showed high expression for Nrf2. The overexpression of Nrf2 was an independent predictor of overall survival [OS, hazard ratio (HR) 3.9; P=0.011] and disease-free survival (DFS, HR 4.3; P=0.002). The gene silencing of Nrf2 reduced resistance to cell death induced by 5-FU in GC cell lines. Conclusion: Our data show that Nrf2 is an independent prognostic factor in GC. Furthermore, Nrf2 confers resistance to chemotherapeutic drug 5-FU in GC cells. Taken together, Nrf2 is a potential prognostic marker and predictive for 5-FU resistance in GC.
Research on K-MEANS Clustering Algorithm Based on HADOOP

This paper proposes an improved clustering algorithm on the basis of the characteristics of sampling and density. The initial k value and initial center are determined by sampling and density, and parallel improvement is based on the HADOOP platform. Through the experiment, the improved K-Means algorithm has good parallelism.
An Empirical Analysis of Factors Influencing the Information Service Quality of Recruitment Websites

The online recruitment industry has developed rapidly under the Internet Plus environment, but the job hunters are rarely satisfied to the overall information service quality of recruitment websites. In order to improve the information service quality of recruitment websites, and maintain the competitive advantages of the industry, we conduct an empirical analysis of the factors influencing the information service quality of recruitment websites. Based on synthesizing the service quality evaluation indicators from both domestic and foreign studies,we propose the research model and hypotheses from the perspective of job hunters. We then conduct an online survey, and perform descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, variance analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis on the sample data to test the research model and hypotheses with SPSS. The results show that the information content quality, reliability, ease of use, personalization and interactivity all have significantly positive correlation with the information service quality of recruitment websites.
