An Active Construction Dynamic Schedule Management Model: Using the Fuzzy Earned Value Management and BP Neural Network

        Fangfang Yu,Xiaobo Chen,Clark A. Cory,Zhixuan Yang,Yingwen Hu 대한토목학회 2021 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.25 No.7

Project schedule management is an important aspect of project management. Earned value management (EVM) and its extension methods are widely adopted in project schedule management in various previous studies, however, most of these studies adopted schedule performance indicators based on definiteness condition and historical data, which ignored the impact of uncertainty and dynamics. So the decision risk in schedule management has been increased dramatically. Therefore, this paper proposed an active construction dynamic schedule management model based on fuzzy earned value management (F-EVM) and BP neural network (BP-NN). Firstly, the fuzzy theory was introduced into EVM to evaluate the schedule performance when the project finish schedule cannot be deterministic expression. Then, the main resource planning was functioned as input variables to predict the schedule in advance through BP-NN. Finally, the future action plans was adjusted based on the results to achieve active control of the project schedule. The case results indicated that the introduction of F-EVM effectively reduced influence of subjective estimation on uncertainty in the data measurement process. And the proposed dynamic schedule management model gave a 32.06% better mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) than the existing methods for estimated project duration. Hence, the proposed model provided a more accurate estimation of the project duration and considered the uncertainty and dynamics of the construction project, thereby achieving more effective management of project schedule.

Consumption of Oxidized Soybean Oil Increased Intestinal Oxidative Stress and Affected Intestinal Immune Variables in Yellow-feathered Broilers

        Fangfang Liang,Shouqun Jiang,Yi Mo,Guilian Zhou,Lin Yang 아세아·태평양축산학회 2015 Animal Bioscience Vol.28 No.8

This study investigated the effect of oxidized soybean oil in the diet of young chickens on growth performance and intestinal oxidative stress, and indices of intestinal immune function. Corn-soybean-based diets containing 2% mixtures of fresh and oxidized soybean oil provided 6 levels (0.15, 1.01, 3.14, 4.95, 7.05, and 8.97 meqO2/kg) of peroxide value (POV) in the diets. Each dietary treatment, fed for 22 d, had 6 replicates, each containing 30 birds (n = 1,080). Increasing POV levels reduced average daily feed intake (ADFI) of the broilers during d 1 to 10, body weight and average daily gain at d 22 but did not affect overall ADFI. Concentrations of malondialdehyde (MDA) increased in plasma and jejunum as POV increased but total antioxidative capacity (T-AOC) declined in plasma and jejunum. Catalase (CAT) activity declined in plasma and jejunum as did plasma glutathione S-transferase (GST). Effects were apparent at POV exceeding 3.14 meqO2/kg for early ADFI and MDA in jejunum, and POV exceeding 1.01 meqO2/kg for CAT in plasma and jejunum, GST in plasma and T-AOC in jejunum. Relative jejunal abundance of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) P50 and NF-κB P65 increased as dietary POV increased. Increasing POV levels reduced the jejunal concentrations of secretory immunoglobulin A and cluster of differentiation (CD) 4 and CD8 molecules with differences from controls apparent at dietary POV of 3.14 to 4.95 meqO2/kg. These findings indicated that growth performance, feed intake, and the local immune system of the small intestine were compromised by oxidative stress when young broilers were fed moderately oxidized soybean oil.

Nematicidal coumarin from Ficus carica L.

        Fangfang Liu,Zhongshan Yang,Xi Zheng,Shaoliu Luo,Ke Qin Zhang,Guo Hong Li 한국응용곤충학회 2011 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.14 No.1

The methanol extracts from 40 plant species were screened for their nematicidal activity against the nematodes Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, Panagrellus redivivus and Caenorhabditis elegans. The leaf extract of Ficus carica L. exhibited the strongest nematicidal activity, causing 74.3%, 96.2% and 98.4% mortality, respectively, within 72 h. By bioassay-guided fractionation, a coumarin was obtained. The compound was determined to be psoralen based on spectroscopic data. It showed nematicidal activity against the tested nematodes. This is the first report of the nematicidal activity of F. carica and psoralen.

      • Bit-Level Image Encryption Algorithm Based on Composite Chaotic Mapping

        Cai Yang,Haiyu Zhang,Jinliang Guo,Songhao Jia,Fangfang Li 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.9 No.8

Because the single chaotic mapping easily creates security weaknesses in the image encryption algorithm, the security needs to be improved. Aiming at this problem, a bit-level image encryption algorithm based on composite chaotic mapping (CCM-IEA) is proposed. First of all, the algorithm scrambles the plain image on bit level through the Cat mapping for the first time. And then the Henon mapping of two dimensional discrete is used to scramble for the second time. Finally, image diffusion is operated through the one dimensional Logistic mapping, and the data sensitivity is enhanced. The experimental results show that the performance of the CCM-IEA algorithm is better on the histogram, information entropy and correlation analysis. Compared with the single chaotic images encryption algorithm, the CCM-IEA algorithm has the ability to resist the information entropy analysis and correlation analysis. It can be seen that the CCM-IEA algorithm has high safety performance and good encryption effect.

Definitive extended field intensity-modulated radiotherapy and concurrent cisplatin chemosensitization in the treatment of IB2-IIIB cervical cancer

        Guangyu Zhang,Fangfang He,Chunli Fu,Youzhong Zhang,Qiuan Yang,Jianbo Wang,Yufeng Cheng 대한부인종양학회 2014 Journal of Gynecologic Oncology Vol.25 No.1

Objective: To assess the toxicity of delivering extended field intensity-modulated radiotherapy (EF-IMRT) and concurrent cisplatin chemotherapy for locally advanced cervical carcinoma. Methods: Forty-five patients who underwent EF-IMRT and concurrent cisplatin chemotherapy for the treatment of stage IB2 to IIIB cervical cancer were retrospectively reviewed. The clinical target volume included all areas of gross and potentially microscopic disease and regional lymph node regions. All patients underwent high-dose-rate brachytherapy. The acute and late toxicity were scored using the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events and the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group late radiation morbidity scoring criteria, respectively. Results: The median follow-up was 28 months (range, 5 to 62 months). Forty-two patients had a complete response, and three had a persistent disease. Of those 42 patients, 15 patients (35.7%) had recurrence. The regions of recurrence were in-field in 2 patients and out-field in 13 patients. Acute grade ≥3 gastrointestinal, genitourinary and hematologic toxicity occurred in 3, 1, and 9 patients, respectively. Three patients (6.7%) suffered from late grade 3 toxicities. Seven patients experienced ovarian transposition, 5 of those patients (71%) maintained ovarian function. Thirty-eight patients (84.4%) were alive at the last follow-up. Conclusion: Concurrent cisplatin chemotherapy with EF-IMRT was safe. The acute and late toxicities are acceptable. EF-IMRT provides an opportunity to preserve endocrine function for patients with ovarian transposition.

Remaining Useful Life Prediction of Lithium-Ion Batteries Based on Spherical Cubature Particle Filter

Dong Wang,Fangfang Yang,Kwok-Leung Tsui,Qiang Zhou,Suk Joo Bae Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 2016 IEEE transactions on instrumentation and measureme Vol.65 No.6

<P>Lithium-ion batteries are critical components to provide power sources for commercial products. To ensure a high reliability of lithium-ion batteries, prognostic actions for lithium-ion batteries should be prepared. In this paper, a prognostic method is proposed to predict the remaining useful life (RUL) of lithium-ion batteries. A state-space model for the lithium-ion battery capacity is first constructed to assess capacity degradation. Then, a spherical cubature particle filter (SCPF) is introduced to solve the state-space model. The major idea of the SCPF is to adapt a spherical cubature integration-based Kalman filter to provide an importance function of a standard particle filter (PF). Once the state-space model is determined, the extrapolations of the state-space model to a specified failure threshold are performed to infer the RUL of the lithium-ion batteries. Degradation data of 26 lithium-ion battery capacities were analyzed to validate the effectiveness of the proposed prognostic method. The analytical results show that the proposed prognostic method is more effective in the prediction of RUL of lithium-ion batteries, compared with an existing PF-based prognostic method.</P>

      • A stable and highly efficient visible-light-driven hydrogen evolution porous CdS/WO3/TiO2 photocatalysts

        Qian, Yongteng,Yang, Mengke,Zhang, Fangfang,Du, Jimin,Li, Kaidi,Lin, Xialing,Zhu, Xinrui,Lu, Yayun,Wang, Weimin,Kang, Dae Joon Elsevier 2018 Materials characterization Vol.142 No.-

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>It is well known that both catalytic efficiency and stability are the two important parameters of photocatalysts for visible-light-driven hydrogen production reactions. However, light-driven hydrogen evolution based applications still suffer from sluggish reaction kinetics due to the lack of high-performance photocatalysts. In this paper, we successfully synthesized a ternary porous CdS/WO3/TiO2 photocatalyst with high efficiency and stability via two-stage approach. The as-prepared samples are characterized by XRD, FESEM, EDS, TEM, XPS, and UV–Vis, respectively, which illustrated that the CdS and WO3 moieties are in-situ formed inside the porous TiO2. Particularly, the photocatalytic hydrogen (H2) evolution rate of such ternary 8% CdS/WO3/TiO2 (molar ration of CdS:WO3:TiO2 = 8:8:100) photocatalyst ranges up to 2106 μmol h−1 g−1 under visible-light irradiation, which is higher than that of pure TiO2 and other binary (CdS/TiO2 and WO3/TiO2) porous photocatalysts. The superior H2 evolution efficiency can be attributed to the coexistence of CdS and WO3 in porous TiO2 which can promote the interfacial charge transfer and separation as well as extend the light absorption up to the visible range.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Highly efficient and stable photocatalytic activity of CdS/WO3/TiO2 photocatalysts were synthesized by a two-step method. </LI> <LI> CdS and WO3 inlaid on porous TiO2 can extend the light absorption and enhance photogenerated electron-hole pairs separation. </LI> <LI> The porous structure can provide more reaction active sites and improve photoproduced-electrons and holes transport speed. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical Abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

      • Enhanced charge separation of CuS and CdS quantum-dot-cosensitized porous TiO2-based photoanodes for photoelectrochemical water splitting

        Du, Jimin,Yang, Mengke,Zhang, Fangfang,Cheng, Xuechun,Wu, Haoran,Qin, Huichuang,Jian, Qingsong,Lin, Xialing,Li, Kaidi,Kang, Dae Joon Elsevier 2018 CERAMICS INTERNATIONAL Vol.44 No.3

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting using high-performance catalysts shows considerable promise in generating environment-friendly hydrogen energy. Its practical applications, however, suffer from several shortcomings, such as low photocurrent density, large onset-voltage value, and poor durability. In this study, CuS and CdS quantum-dot-cosensitized porous TiO2-based PEC catalysts (CuS-CT) have been successfully synthesized via in situ sulfuration of CuO and CdO coexisting inside a porous TiO2 monolith by a hydrothermal method. Compared to porous TiO2, CuS-sensitized porous TiO2 (CuS-TiO2), and CdS-sensitized porous TiO2 (CdS-TiO2) in terms of PEC performance, the CuS-CT photoanode exhibited a significantly high anodic photocurrent for water splitting under simulated sunlight radiation. The photocurrent produced by the optimized sample of 7% CuS-5% CdS-TiO2 (7% CuS-CT) was nearly 2.7 times higher than that of pure porous TiO2 at 1.0V versus a reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE). Porous TiO2 possesses large surface areas that can drive fast electrolyte transport and afford more surface reaction active sites. On the other hand, CuS and CdS quantum dots not only broaden the visible light absorption range, but also improve photoinduced electron-hole separation efficiency. The co-sensitized multi-nanostructures photoanodes lead to a remarkable and promising application in PEC water splitting reactions.</P>
