يادگيري فعل براساس دستور ساخت توسط فارسيآموزان كرهايزبان

        فهیمهقپانداریبیدگلی ( Fahime Ghapandari Bidgoli ) 한국외국어대학교 중동연구소 2024 중동연구 Vol.42 No.3

Constructive grammar is one of the cognitive approaches that studies language based on cognitive ability and looks at language and language structure completely differently from formalist approaches. This grammar emphasizes linguistic constructions instead of rules and presents all linguistic patterns as constructions. One of these constructions is the verb's argument construction, which connects syntax and meaning. The present study deals with the argument construction of the verb in the writing of Korean students of the Persian language at two levels; the upper-basic and the upper-intermediate based on Constructive Grammar. The data obtained from 80 texts (40 texts of each group) shows the use of 72 verbs at the upper-basic level and 152 verbs at the upper-intermediate level. It indicates that learning the verb from the basic level to a higher level is productive cognitive work, and it is growing. Also, way construction is used by language learners of both levels more than other constructions, while cause-motion construction is less seen in their writing. These results help in teaching verbs, explaining polysemy in verbs, and also assist in educational planning, syllabi preparation, and providing teaching resources.

      • Digitalizing Smart Cities Through Artificial Intelligence

        Fahim Ali,Atif Ali,Hina Naseem,Syed Hassan Raza,Mafia Rasheed 한국차세대컴퓨팅학회 2022 한국차세대컴퓨팅학회 학술대회 Vol.2022 No.10

The growth rate of construction is increasing every year. The sustainable development of territories is becoming a problematic field for solving the strategic tasks of urban development; however, at the same time, the requirements for the standard of living, the safety of citizens, and the adaptability of tasks to the fast pace of urban life and a favorable environmental situation are also increasing. In addition, digitalization is rapidly penetrating all spheres of human life and can become the key to solving problems related to urban infrastructure development. The development and digitalization of regions require a special approach. During the study, artificial intelligence technologies are considered the central link in managing the digital processes of smart cities an analysis is made of experiences in implementing the concept of a smart city in life and the chains of interconnection between artificial intelligence technologies and relevant digital achievements of smart cities. Such an approach will form the main vector of the city design movement, where each person will feel safe and comfortable. The environmental situation against the background of intelligent systems will be protected from the negative anthropological factor.

      • Augmenting User Interaction in a Smart Home Applying Commonsense Knowledge

Fahim Kawsar,Mostafa Al Masum Shaikh,Jong Hyuk Park,Ishizuka Mitsuru,Tatsuo Nakajima 보안공학연구지원센터 2008 International Journal of Smart Home Vol.2 No.4

In this paper, we present a system that augments user interaction to elicit intelligence of a living room adorned with aware artefacts. These artefacts are computationally augmented everyday objects, like a phone, a light, a TV, etc., which are enabled to communicate their operational states among themselves. The operational state of an artefact is usually changed to another state as a result of an interaction by the user. Our system augments such interactions by improvising other spatially correlated artefacts with the help of commonsense knowledge. For example, if a user picks up a ringing phone while the TV is on, the system either mutes or reduces the TV volume. In this case the phone’s state is changed to “in use” state due to deliberate interaction of the user and simultaneously the state of the TV may be changed to “mute” or “low volume” by the system. Such idea of augmenting user interaction has been elaborated in this paper. We present the computational model and theimplementation detail of our approach and also demonstrate its feasibility through an informal user study.

      • Prottoy Middleware Platform for Smart Object Systems

Fahim Kawsar,Kaori Fujinami,Tatsuo Nakajima 보안공학연구지원센터 2008 International Journal of Smart Home Vol.2 No.3

This paper presents a middleware platform, Prottoy for the development of smart object systems. A smart object has some specific characteristics e.g., augmentation variation, perceptual feedback provision, push-pull model, etc. In addition a smart object could be stand-alone, co-operative or associated with an external application. Generic pervasive middlewares have no clean support for accommodating all these characteristics of smart objects. Prottoy is designed by carefully observing the characteristics of smart objects and it has taken a core-cloud approach to represent them digitally. A smart object’s common functional features are combined together as a generic core and a collection of supplementary service profiles represents the cloud that can be plugged-in atop the core. Application developers are offered unified interfaces to interact bi-directionally (senseactuate) with the underlying smart objects isolating access issues completely regardless of the smart objects' types and properties. Prottoy's hybrid architecture allows a smart object to be stand-alone, co-operative or a part of an application. The benefit of our approach is twofold. Firstly, the core-cloud artefact framework provides a lucid representation of smart object that accommodates its specific features leading to a generic smart object model. Secondly, Prottoy allows rapid development of smart object systems by providing unified interfaces with high-level abstractions. In this paper, we discuss the background, technical details and the qualitative evaluation of Prottoy.

Highly efficient removal of toxic ions by the activated carbon derived from Citrus limon tree leaves

        Fahime Nemati,Dariush Jafari,Hossein Esmaeili 한국탄소학회 2021 Carbon Letters Vol.31 No.3

The purpose of this study was to remove lead and arsenic ions from aqueous solutions using the activated carbon prepared from Citrus limon tree leaves. Characteristics of the prepared adsorbent were studied thoroughly using BET, SEM, EDS and mapping, XRD, and RAMAN analyses. The results of experiments showed that the highest adsorption efficiencies were 97.67% and 95.89% for Pb (II) and As (III), respectively. Additionally, the adsorbent was successfully regenerated four times and therefore it was able to perform the adsorption and desorption processes well. Moreover, the results of adsorption kinetics showed that the pseudo second-order kinetic model was more effective for the description of adsorption mechanism of both metals. Furthermore, the equilibrium studies indicated that Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models were desirable for lead and arsenic ions, respectively.

      • A Prediction Model to Support a MultilayerNetwork-based Universal Electronic CashTransaction Framework

Fahim Irfan Alam,Muhammad Iqbal Hasan Chowdhury,Md. Reza Rabbani 한국산학기술학회 2013 SmartCR Vol.3 No.4

Tremendous developments in the telecommunications sector in Bangladesh has been experienced recently and with this overwhelming success, each and every part of Bangladesh is now under cellular coverage. This success motivated us to develop a more reliable and transparent economic infrastructure through the use of cellular services. We proposed a multilayer network-supported framework that completely eliminates the need for paper money for all kinds of economic transactions. This paper proposes an extension of the framework by introducing embedded intelligence through the use of machine learning in order to facilitate the concept of data mining in our application. Because data mining is an important step in knowledge discovery, we can extract hidden and non-trivial information from raw data and predict a pattern that adds additional intelligence in our framework to make it more transparent and free of corruption. In this paper, we have utilized the significant functionalities of decision-tree classifiers in order to predict a transaction pattern for every concerned entity followed by handling all kinds of transactions by electronic means, and continuously monitoring them over the entire network. Satisfactory experimental results on an artificially created data set support the possibilities in real-world implementation.

      • APPLICATION OF WAVELET ANALYSIS AND MULTI-RESOLUTION DECOMPOSITION FOR HIGH QUALITY COMPRESSION AND RECONSTRUCTION

Fahim-ul-Haq,Azra Khalid,Saad Umer Baig 한국멀티미디어학회 2010 한국멀티미디어학회 국제학술대회 Vol.2010 No.-

With growing demand of various imaging applications, storage requirements of digital imagery are increasing explosively. Efficient representation of image data, their storage and transmission through limited communication bandwidth is a crucial and active area of development today and calls for efficient storage and transmission requirements. Wavelet transform provides analysis details on different levels with much less space as compared to the original data, resulting in high quality image compression. Wavelet transformation separates images into scales through a feature known as multi-resolution analysis. The paper describes wavelet analysis using Daubeucies wavelet as the basis function for approximations. Here a novel multi-resolution analysis based on Daubeucies wavelet is investigated which results in greater compression at low bit-rates and high quality reconstruction

Syntactic Error Analysis in the Writings of Korean-Speaking Learners of Persian

        Fahime Ghapandari Bidgoli 한국외국어대학교(글로벌캠퍼스) 중동연구소 2022 중동연구 Vol.41 No.1

Error analysis as a branch of applied linguistics studies errors in the process of language learning. This approach seeks the linguistic errors and describes the source of the linguistic errors. Regarding the growth of Persian language teaching as a second / foreign language, it seems necessary to pay attention to this field. Based on the error analysis approach and using field method, the present study investigates the syntactic errors of Korean-speaking learners of Persian at the elementary level in order to determine the educational needs of students, express their syntactic problems and find a way to solve them. To do so, 80 pieces of writing of 20 students were gathered and examined, then the errors are classified based on the corpus of syntactic errors with two sources of interlingual and intralingual, using the error analysis frameworks. The findings show that incorrect substitution, incorrect deletion, incorrect addition, and incorrect order were respectively the most frequent errors. Also, the results indicate that errors related to word order, verb tense and using preposition, which have an interlingual origin, are the most frequent errors and among syntactic errors with an intralingual origin, the verb-subject agreement error shows the most frequency.
