A decorder is developed for correcting the single burst of errors. The convolutional code of Type-B2 is used for this purpose. This decoder has the ability to correct all bursts confined to m-l or fewer consecutive blocks with a guard space of the(m-1) consecutive error free blocks. A simple logical circuitry, having the same order of complexity as a pairity check circuit for a block code, is implemented to correct the errors in a communication system. The decoder used the (18,12) convolational code is designed and tested. Experimental results confirm the error-correcting ability.

A novel compact model for a five-port transformer balun is proposed for the efficient circuit design of hybrid balun. Compared to the conventional model, the proposed model provides much faster computation time and more reasonable values for the extracted parameters. The hybrid balun, realized in $0.18\;{\mu}m$ CMOS, achieves 2.8 dB higher gain and 1.9 dB lower noise figure than its passive counterpart only at a current consumption of 0.67 mA from 1.2 V supply. By employing the hybrid balun, a differential zero-IF receiver is designed in $0.18\;{\mu}m$ CMOS for IEEE 802.15.4 ZigBee applications. It is composed of a differential cascode LNA, passive mixers, and active RC filters. Comparative investigations on the three receiver designs, each employing the hybrid balun, a simple transformer balun, and an ideal balun, clearly demonstrate the advantages of the hybrid balun in fully differential CMOS RF receivers. The simulated results of the receiver with the hybrid balun show 33 dB of conversion gain, 4.2 dB of noise figure with 20 kHz of 1/f noise corner frequency, and -17.5 dBm of IIP3 at a current consumption of 5 mA from 1.8 V supply.

<P>The aim of this study was to demonstrate postoperative changes in sleep quality in children with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), using both conventional sleep staging and electrocardiogram-based cardiopulmonary coupling (CPC) analysis. The hypothesis is that being electroencephalography (EEG)-independent, CPC may detect changes in sleep quality that traditional sleep architecture analysis cannot.</P>
바세나르체제 군용물자목록에 기반한 국방기술통제목록 개선 연구

국방기술통제목록은 수출 시 보호가 필요한 국방과학기술 및 군용물자품목을 분류하기 위해 국방기술진흥연구소에서 매 3년 주기로 작성하고 있다. 그러나 현재 활용되고 있는 국방기술통제목록은 바세나르체제 군용물자목록과 달리 기술 단위로 되어 있어 수출통제 검토 시 대상 품목을 식별하고 통제 기준을 적용하는데 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 바세나르체제 군용물자목록에서 제시하는 통제기준에 따라 수출을 통제하고 관리하기 위해 적용 무기체계의 품목 단위로 통제 범위를 파악할 수 있는 국방기술통제목록 개선방안을 제시하였다. 주요내용으로 목록체계, 작성방법 및 절차 등을 수립하였으며 화력 무기체계 소화기 탄약 분야에 시범적용 하였다. 또한, 개선안에 대한 전문가 설문조사를 통해 본 연구결과에 대한 타당성과 실효성을 입증하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 개선안으로 전면 개편함으로써 보다 실용성 있는 국방기술통제목록으로 활용 가능할 것이다. 또한 향후 국방 분야 기술통제 주요 영역인 방위산업기술보호와의 연계에 대한 추가 연구도 필요할 것으로 판단된다. The Defense Technology Control List (DTCL) is published by the Korea Research Institute for Defense Technology Planning and Advancement (KRIT) every three years, giving the defense technologies and munitions whose export needs to be controlled. But, the current DTCL is technology-based and different from the Wassenaar Agreement Munitions List (ML). Hence, it has limited use because of its difficulties in identifying defense technologies and munitions whose export needs to be controlled and applying the Wassenaar Agreement export control criteria to them. So, this study improves the DTCL methodology to control the defense technologies and munitions export based on the Wassenaar Agreement ML. Subsequently, this study reviews the system, methods, and procedures of the improved DTCL and demonstrates a small pistol weapon system under this DTCL. In addition, this study’s validity and effectiveness are verified using the expert 2-Delphi survey analysis. Finally, this study concludes that the DTCL will be more effective and practical if it is restructured appropriately. In essence, further research is needed on the DTCL to control the defense technologies and munitions export effectively under this list.
