A series of cytotoxic activities (ED_(50)) in vitro against six human cancers (lung cancer, uterine cancer, skin cancer, brain cancer, colon cancer and adenocarcinoma) and their seventeen cell lines of 3,6-bis(2'-pyridyl)pyridazine, 1, 3,6-bis-(6'-methyl-2'-pyridyl)pyridazine, 2 and their transition metal, Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes, 3~6 were measured. Particularly, the results revealed that the cytotoxic activities against the brain cancer cell line (SNB-19) and the colon cancer cell line (SW62) of bis-[3,6-bis-(6'-methyl-2'-pyridyl)pyridazine-k^(2)N^(2),N^(3)]chlorocopper(II)perchlorate, 4 were shown to be higher than that of the first generation anticancer agent, Cis-platin. 6종의 인체 암(폐암, 피부암, 결장암, 자궁암, 선암 및 뇌암)과 그의 17가지 세포주들에 대한 리간드 화합물 3,6-bis(2'pyridyl)pyridazine(1)과 3,6-bis(6'-methyl-2'-pyridyl)pyridazine(2) 그리고 그들의 전이금속(Ni(II), Cu(II) 및 Zn(II)) 착 화합물들 (3~6)의 세포독성을 각각 측정하였다. 그 결과, 특히 Cu(II) 착화합물, bis-[3,6-bis-(6'-methyl-2'-pyridyl)pyridazine-k^(2)N^(2),N^(3)]chlorocopper(II)perchlorate (4)는 뇌암(SNB-19)과 결장암(SW-62) 세포주에 대하여 제1세대 항암제인 Cis-platin보다 높은 세포독성을 나타내었다.

미생물 살충제로 사용되고 있는 B. thuringiensis를 모기유충방제에 적용하기 위한 시도는 B. thuringiensis가 수서생태계에서 부유하지 못하고 가라앉으며, 생활환을 이루지 못한다는 문제점으로 인해 적용에 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 모기유충에 강한 독성을 갖는 B. thuringiensis subsp. morrisoni PG-14의 cryIVD 유전자를 모기유충의 먹이인 cyanobactrium에 도입하기 위하여 발현벡터 pCYASK 5-1을 제작하고, cyanobacterium Synechocystis PCC6803에 형질전환시켜, 세포내에서 cryIVD 유전자의 발현과 뇌염모기에 대한 독성을 조사하였다. 그 결과 형질전환체 내에서 cryIVD 발현은 immunoblot 분석을 통해 B. thuringiensis subsp. morrisoni PG-14에서 발현된 단백질과 같은 분자량으로 발현되는 것을 확인하였으며, 모기유충에 대한 형질전환체의 독성은 1.40×10^6 cells/ml 농도에서 약 80%의 치사율을 나타내었다. Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. morrisoni PG-14 is a gram-positive soil bacterium producing mosquitocidal parasporal inclusions composed of several crystal proteins. Among these crystal protein genes, cryIVD gene is one of major component which has 72 kDa in size. However, these parasporal inclusions sink quickly from the surface of water where mosquito larval feeding occurred. To develope mosquitocidal cyanobacterium, therefore, we constructed the expression vector, pCYASK 5-1 harboring cryIVD gene. The expression vector, pCYASk5-1 was transformed into the cyanobacterium Synechocystis PCC6803 reported as a natural mosquito larval food source and the transformants were selected with kanamycin. Expression of cryIVD gene in transformant was characterized by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) and immunoblot analysis. The mosquitocidal activity of a transformant was determined electrophoresis (PAGE) and immunoblot analysis. The mosquitocidal activity of a transformant was determined with Culex tritaeniorhynchus. The results showed that the transformed cyanobacterium is toxic to mosquito larvae and will be expected as a potential agent that is used for mosquito control.

Purpose: Resectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) has a high risk of recurrence after curative resection; despite this, the preoperative risk factors for predicting early recurrence remain unclear. This study therefore aimed to identify preoperative inflammation and nutrition factors associated with early recurrence of resectable PDAC.Methods: From March 2021 to November 2021, a total of 20 patients who underwent curative resection for PDAC were enrolled in this study. We evaluated the risk factors for early recurrence within 1 year by univariate and multivariate analyses using Cox hazard proportional regression. The cutoff values for predicting recurrence were examined using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves.Results: In our univariate and multivariate analyses, C-reactive protein (CRP), CRP-albumin ratio, and CRP-prealbumin ratio, as well as sex and age, were significant independent prognostic factors for early recurrence in PDAC. However, known inflammatory factors (neutrophil-to-lymphocyte and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratios), nutritional factors (albumin, prealbumin, ferritin, vitamin D), and inflammatory-nutritional factors (Glasgow Prognostic Score, modified Glasgow Prognostic Score, albumin-bilirubin) showed no association with early recurrence. In addition, using cutoff values by ROC curve analysis, a high preoperative CRP level of >5 mg/L, as well as high CRP-to-albumin (>5.3) and CRP-to-prealbumin (>1.3) ratios showed no prognostic value.Conclusion: Our results showed that inflammatory and perioperative nutritional factors, especially CRP-to-prealbumin ratio, have significant associations with early recurrence after curative resection in resectable PDAC. Therefore, for such patients, a cautious approach is needed when inflammation and poor nutritional status are present.
자생 식물로부터 Cyclin - dependent Kinase 4/Cyclin D1 저해물질의 탐색

To search CDK4/Cyclin D1 enzyme inhibition materials, methanol extracts of native eighty seven plant species in thirty seven families were screened in vitro for their inhibiting activities against CDK4/Cyclin D1 enzyme which are control to the normal cell division cycle in human body. Extracts of Paeonia suffruticosa, Saurus chinensis, Sanguisorba officinalis and Celastrus orbiculatus among them significantly inhibited above fifty percent (in 5 ㎍/㎖) against CDK4/ Cyclin D1 enzyme. Especially, the extracts of P. suffruticosaa and S. officinalis showed moderately strong inhibition. Also, cryptotanshinone was identified as active compound from a extracts of Salvia mitiorrhiza by spectroscopic analyses including 2D NMR experiments.
KMEDIA-UNIX: Dexter 참조 모델과 MHEG 표준을 기반으로 한 객체지향 하이퍼미디어 시스템

본 논문에서는 Dexter 참조 모델을 따르는 아키텍쳐를 갖고 MHEG(Multimedia and Hypermedia information coding Expert Group) 표준에 따라 내용을 표현하며 객체지향 데이타베이스에 데이타를 저장하는 객체지향 하이퍼미디어 시스템의 설계와 구현을 기술한다. 본 시스템의 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, Dexter 참조 모델에 따라 설계 되었으므로 이 모델에 따라 개발된 다른 하이퍼미디어 시스템들과의 통일성과 계층 구조를 가진다. 둘째, MHEG 표준에 따라 내용을 표현하였으므로 멀티미디어 정보의 교화 기능과 동기화 표현을 쉽게 첨가할 수 있다. 셋째, MIME 프로토콜을 이용한 멀티미디어 메일 기능을 제공한다. 넷째, 데이타를 객체지향 데이타베이스에 저장함으로써 Dexter 및 MHEG 모델의 표현을 용이하게 하고, 각 객체를 효율적으로 저장하고 검색할 수 있다. 본 논문의 공헌은 세가지 특징을 유기적으로 결합하여, 국제 표준에 근거한 효율적인 하이퍼미디어 시스템을 구성한 데에 있다. In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of a hypermedia system that has the following characteristics First, being designed according to the Dexter hypertext reference model, it has a layered architecture and thus maintains commonality with other hypermedia systems based on the Dexter model Second, being designed based on the MHEG standard, it has data structures that are inherently suitable for data interchange and synchronization. Third, adopting the MIME protocol, it provides multimedia mail services Finally, being built on top of an object-oriented DBMS, it make it easy to represent Dexter and MHEG models and provides efficient storage and search capabilities. The contribution of this paper is integrating these three characteristics to build an efficient hypermedia system.
