        The effect of reinforcing methods on fracture strength of composite inlay bridge

        본 연구는 복합레진 인레이 브릿지에서 강화재의 표면 처리와 사용 방법이 파괴 강도에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 본 연구에서 사용한 강화재료는 I Beam, U Beam, I + U Beam이었으며, 표면처리 방법은 Silane, Sandblast, Hole 형성 (U beam)이었다. 강화 재료의 구성과 표면 처리 방법에 따라 총 11개의 실험군을 설정하였다. 상악 인공치 모형에서 제2소구치의 발거 상태를 가정하고 복합레진 인레이 브릿지 제작을 위하여 인접한 제1소구치에 D○, 제l대구치에 M○ 와동을 형성하였다. 와동이 형성된 인공치 모형을 고무 인상체를 이용하여 석고로 제작하고, 각 실험군 별로 강화재료와 강화 재료의 표면 처리 방법에 따라 Tescera ATL (BISCO Inc. IL, USA) 복합레진을 사용하여 복합레진 인레이 브릿지를 제작하였다. 그 후 시편을 복제모형에 인산아연시멘트로 합착하고 Universal testing machine (EZ Test, Shimadzu, Japan)을 이용하여 flexural stress를 가하여 파괴 강도를 측정하였으며 95% 유의 수준에서 one-way ANOVA/ Scheffes' post- hoc test를 시행하여 통계분석하였다. 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 1. 내부 강화재 I beam을 사용한 실험군이 유의성 있게 높은 파괴 강도값을 보였다 (P < 0.05). 2. 표면 처리 방법에 따른 차이는 나타나지 않았다 (P > 0.05). 3 복합레진 인레이 브릿지의 파괴는 강화 재료를 사용시에는 복합레진과 강화 재료간에 분리 파괴가 나타났으며 사용하지 않은 경우에는 수직파괴 경향이 나타났다. 4. U beam에 유지 hole을 형성한 경우 파괴 강도 증가를 시키지 않았다. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of surface treatment and composition of reinforcement material on fracture strength of fiber reinforced composite inlay bridges. The materials used for this study were I-beam, U-beam TESCERA ATL system and ONE STEP(Bisco, IL, USA). Two kinds of surface treatments were used; the silane and the sandblast. The specimens were divided into 11 groups through the composition of reinforcing materials and the surface treatments. On the dentiform, supposing the missing of Maxillary second pre-molar and indirect composite inlay bridge cavities on adjacent first pre-molar disto-occlusal cavity, first molar mesio-occlusal cavity was prepared with conventional high-speed inlay bur. The reinforcing materials were placed on the proximal box space and build up the composite inlay bridge consequently. After the curing, specimen was set on the testing die with ZPC. Flexural force was applied with universal testing machine (EZtester; Shimadzu, Japan). at a cross-head speed of 1 mm/min until initial crack occurred. The data wasanalyzed using one-way ANOVA/ Scheffes' post-hoc test at 95% significance level. Groups using I-beam showed the highest fracture strengths (p < 0.05) and there were no significant differences between each surface treatment (p > 0.05). Most of the specimens in groups that used reinforcing material showed delamination. 1. The use of I-beam represented highest fracture strengths (p < 0.05). 2. In groups only using silane as a surface treatment showed highest fracture strength, but there were no significant differences between other surface treatments (p > 0.05). 3. The reinforcing materials affect the fracture strength and pattern of composites inlay bridge. 4. The holes at the U-beam did not increase the fracture strength of composites inlay bridge.

      • Implantation-Related Expression of Epidermal Growth Factor Family Molecules and Their Regulation by Progesterone in the Pregnant Rat

        <P><I>The uterine expressions of epidermal growth factor(EGF) family are examined to elucidate their exact role(s) in rat pregnancy. EGF and its receptors' (EGF-R) mRNA levels increased significantly at implantation after which their expression gradually decreased. Heparin-binding EGF (HB-EGF) and transforming growth factor-</I>U03B1; <I> (TGF-</I>U03B1;<I>) showed a modest expression at gestation day (GD), GD4 and GD3, respectively, but were much strongly expressed at mid-pregnancy.Amphiregulin (Areg) was strongly expressed around implantation (GD4) and at mid-pregnancy (GD12).Treatment of pregnant rats with RU486 at GD5 or GD8 blocked the expression of all the genes, and administration of immature rats with progesterone (P4) induced the uterine expression of all the genes except HB-EGF. In addition, HB-EGF,TGF-</I>U03B1;<I>, and Areg proteins in the uterine and glandular epitheliums may participate in mid-pregnancy. Taken together, all of these activities are likely to be controlled by P4 in the uterus of pregnant rats.</I></P>

      • A novel synthesis route for Pt-loaded SnO2 nanofibers and their sensing properties.

        <P>A novel one-pot synthesis method for Pt-loaded SnO2 nanofibers is reported on the basis of the sol-gel and electrospinning-combined process. The ultraviolet illumination was used for in-situ growth of Pt nanoparticles in the electrospinning solution. The sensing capability of pure SnO2 nanofibers was significantly improved by loading Pt nanoparticles. The Pt-loaded SnO2 nanofibers showed a good selectivity to toluene gas. The optimization of Pt amount in SnO2 nanofibers was essential to obtain best sensing performances. The one-pot synthesis method developed in this work may extend the use of oxide nanofibers in chemical gas sensors.</P>

        Determination of Safe Needling Depth via X-ray at TE17(Yifeng) and ST7(Xiaguan)

        목적 : X-ray를 통해 안면마비에 다용되는 예풍과 안면통에 다용되는 하관에서의 안전한 자침 깊이에 대하여 고찰하여 보고자 하였다. 방법 : 건강한 지원자들에게 원치 않을 경우 언제든지 시험을 중지할 권리가 있다는 것을 공지한 후, 시험에 동의한 남녀 각각 2명의 피험자들을 대상으로 대학병원 침구과 전문의가 예풍과 하관을 직자(直刺)(40㎜× 0.35㎜ 일회용 침)하였다. 피험자의 이상 반응 유무를 살피며 안면신경 혹은 삼차신경이 지나가는 경로로 알려진 깊이까지 진침(進鍼)하였다. 유침(留鍼) 상태에서 Skull X-ray의 AP view와 Lateral view를 촬영하였다. 결과 : 피험자들은 침병이 피부에 도달 하는 동안(40㎜ 직자) 자침 혈위에서 중창감(重脹感)을 자각하였으며, 추후 어떠한 이상 반응도 보이지 않았다. 결론 : 안면마비와 안면통의 효율적인 치료를 위하여 안면신경과 삼차신경에 근접할 수 있는 혈위인 예풍과 하관에서의 40㎜ 직자는 신경염이나 뇌 손상과 같은 이상 반응을 유발하지 않았다.

        Individualized Traditional Korean Acupuncture for Knee Osteoarthritis : a Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

        Objective : To test the hypotheses that individualized traditional Korean acupuncture improves pain and disability in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee and that benefits remain after stopping treatment more so than is the case for standardized minimal acupuncture. Design : Randomized single blind controlled trial with two intervention arms (individualized traditional Korean acupuncture, standardized minimal acupuncture) of six weeks' duration and three months follow-up. Setting : Acupuncture interventions were applied by two training doctors in the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion in a 1000-bed hospital. Assessment of the result was performed in a university-based laboratory. Participants : 50 patients with symptoms of knee osteoarthritis as diagnosed by an orthopedist. Intervention : Individualized traditional Korean acupuncture or standardized minimal acupuncture for six weeks. Main outcome measures: Primary outcome measure was pain as measured by the visual analogue scale. Secondary measures of pain and disability included the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities (WOMAC) index, Short Form-36 (SF-36), Lequesne Functional Index (LFI) score and Korean version of Health Assessment Questionnaire (KHAQ). Discussion : This paper presents detail on the rationale, design, methods and operational aspects of the trial.

        Influence of Compressibility Modification to k-ε Turbulence Models for Supersonic Base Flow

        An improvement to the k-ε turbulence model is presented and is shown to lead to better agreement with data regarding supersonic base flows. The improvement was achieved by imposing a grid-independent realizability constraint in the Launder-Sharma k-ε model. The effects of compressibility were also examined. The numerical results show that the modified Launder-Sharma model leads to some improvement in the prediction of the velocity and turbulent kinetic energy profiles. Compressibility corrections also lead to better agreement in both the turbulent kinetic energy and the Reynolds stress profiles with the experimental data.

Despite a number of recent controversies surrounding the sale of counterfeit art pieces, the scale of the problem remains small. Nevertheless, there is a lack of relevant analysis and research. Given the increased interest in Korean arts and crafts and the growing awareness of counterfeit art, it is useful to study legal problems related to counterfeit art. The purpose of this review is to examine the concept and range of counterfeit artwork and explore corresponding legal problems and solutions.
