Hybrid Intrusion Detection Method to Increase Anomaly Detection by Using Data Mining Techniques
Bilal Ahmad,Wang Jian,Bilal Hassan 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Database Theory and Appli Vol.9 No.12
An Intrusion Detection System is an application which observes movements or action happen on the network and determine it for any kind of harmful activity that can disturb computer security policy. With progress of increase the usage rate of the internet, there is a widely increase in the number of internet attacks as well, so contests arise towards the network security due to the arrival of new approaches of attacks. To classify these attacks, a new hybrid method with the help of data mining based on decision tree C4.5 and Meta algorithm is planned. This method gives a classifier which expands the whole accuracy of detection. Many data mining techniques have been settled for detecting intrusion. For recognition of anomalies a hybrid technique based on decision tree C4.5 with Meta algorithm is offered that provides better accuracy and reduces the problem of high false alarm ratio. The assessment of the given approach is made with other data mining techniques. With this given approach detection rate is improved significantly. KDD Cup 1999 dataset use for experimental work.

The purpose of the present paper is to obtain some sufficient conditions for analytic functions, whose coefficients are probabilities of the Miller-Ross type-Poisson distribution series, to belong to classes G(λ, δ) and K(λ, δ).
A simple method for making large panoramic displays using multiple projectors

Making large panoramic displays using multiple projectors has been a topic of sheer interest since decades. Most of the proposed approaches are very complex to implement and the result is an extensive explanation of projector-camera relationships. We propose a simple approach for calibrating and rendering a seamless rectangular image on a planar surface. Our method is based on describing the projection on a planar surface as perspective projections and then describing the projector to projector relationships using homographs. We use a single fixed camera that automatically computes the relative pose between the projectors. We explain the automatic calibration of full system to achieve the perfect registration and color intensity blending at the overlapping areas of the projection. Our method does not need a pre-calibrated camera or projectors and can efficiently warp the images so they can be displayed appropriately. Once warping is done, image intensity blending is carried out efficiently using intensity varying masks. Our results show acceptable quality along the overlapping edge with providing high resolutions at interactive rates.
Experimental evaluation of new channel shear connector shapes
Bilal Maghaghi,Messaoud Titoum,Aida Mazoz 한국강구조학회 2021 International Journal of Steel Structures Vol.21 No.3
In a steel–concrete composite beam, the channel shear connector is an easy solution to ensure the connection due to its availability and the simplicity of its welding. However, increasing the channel shear connector length negatively aff ects the concrete slabs and creates diffi culties to cross the longitudinal reinforcing bars. To solve this problem, fi ve new channel shear connector shapes are proposed and studied in this paper. Twelve push-out tests using a new setup, and three pull-out tests, were carried out under monotonic loading to identify the shape that gives the best performance. The failure modes, the eff ects of new channel shapes on the load-slip behavior, the concrete slaps, the bending deformation, and the height between the two plastic hinges that appeared near the base of channel connectors were mainly studied. The study reveals that the modifi cation of the channel shear connector shape is a promising way and positively infl uences the concrete-connector relationship and also the bending deformation capacity of the channel connector. As a result, the concrete cracking decreased, the ductility increased between about 15–31%, and the ultimate strength improved slightly between about 0–5.1%. Finally, the experimental results are compared to the existing equations.
Fusion of Kinect range images and leap motion data for immersive AR applications
Bilal Ahmed,Jae Doug Yoo,Yong Yi Lee,In Yeop Jang,Kwan H. Lee (사)한국CDE학회 2014 한국 CAD/CAM 학회 학술발표회 논문집 Vol.2014 No.2
We propose a method to quickly and accurately extract fingertips from a single Kinect depth image using an object recognition approach and to fuse the extracted information with the leap motion sensor provided output for the same object under observation. Kinect sensor output is jittery in nature and is not too reliable for precise tracking like fingers. Since leap motion provides accurate finger estimates, we can fuse two datasets and can use in many immersive AR applications. Using our method the extraction process can be simplified into a simpler per-pixel operation hence improving the performance of the algorithm. The algorithm can run on consumer hardware at interactive rates hence can be used in many immersive augmented reality applications. We avoid using training data sets and by this approach we can make it possible to run the algorithm with minimal computing effort. The algorithm is not temporal in nature so even if we lose track of our area of interest there is no need to reinitialize the procedure. We use per frame operations and it enhances the robustness of the proposed method. We aim to achieve state of the art accuracy targets only by using consumer hardware and hence contributing to a better use of publicly available depth sensors and other gaming consoles.
Nexus Between Inventory Volatility and Capital Investment: Evidence from Selected Asian Economies
Bilal Haider SUBHANI,Khurram ASHFAQ,Muhammad Asif KHAN,Natanya MEYER,Umar FAROOQ 한국유통과학회 2022 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.9 No.1
The uncertainty regarding inventory may impart dynamic impacts on corporate-level financial decisions. Among others, a decision about capital investment is a crucial decision that requires overall financial stability. Following these theoretical notions, the current study aims to identify possible consequences of inventory volatility relating to corporate capital investment decisions. We employed ten years of data (2010–2019) of non-financial sector firms to achieve the objective. The Driscoll-Kraay model was used to quantify the regression. The statistical results imply that inventory volatility negatively influences capital investment decisions due to information asymmetry about the current financial position. Additionally, more volatility brings discrepancies in managers’ investing decisions to fulfill the possible demand options of capital investment that require processing the inventory. However, based upon the statistical findings, it is suggested to corporate managers that they should consider the financial sensitivity of enterprises regarding inventory volatility. Thus, the current study introduces new thoughts regarding inventory volatility and its empirical role in determining capital investment.

Due to accumulating protein structure information and advances in computational methodologies, it has now become possible to predict protein-compound interactions. In biology, the classic strategy for drug discovery has been to manually screen multiple compounds (small scale) to identify potential drug compounds. Recent strategies have utilized computational drug discovery methods that involve predicting target protein structures, identifying active sites, and finding potential inhibitor compounds at large scale. In this protocol article, we introduce an in silico drug discovery protocol. Since multi-drug resistance of pathogenic bacteria remains a challenging problem to address, UDP-N-acetylmuramate- L-alanine ligase (murC) of Acinetobacter baumannii was used as an example, which causes nosocomial infection in hospital setups and is responsible for high mortality worldwide. This protocol should help microbiologists to expand their knowledge and research scope.
