We investigated the stability of rock slope caused by large-scale cutting on construction of rapid-transit railway. Applying anchor method in order to build the up, we analyzed the stability using long-term measurement. Slope stability analysis is established by STABL 5M and DIPS as basic programs. Field measurement is required to prove the stability of rock slope which results from the reinforcement corresponding to slope stability analysis. Thus, we used one ground inclinometer and 8 load-cells for the measurement system.
Regulation of histone acetyltransferase activity of p300 and PCAF by proto-oncogene protein DEK

<P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>The proto-oncogene protein DEK has been implicated in the t(6;9) chromosomal translocation associated with a subtype of acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), which results in the formation of a DEK-CAN fusion protein. Histone acetylation is an important post-translational modification which is involved in transcriptional regulation. In this study, we report that the acidic domain containing protein DEK interacts with histones and exerts a potent inhibitory effect on both p300 and PCAF-mediated histone acetyltransferase activity and transcription. Using chromatin immunoprecipitation assays, we have demonstrated that the recruitment of DEK to the appropriate promoter induces the histone H3 and H4 hypoacetylation of chromatin. Collectively, our data illustrate the important regulatory role played by protein DEK in transcriptional regulation, and suggest that transcription-regulating acidic domain regions may play a role in leukemogenesis.</P>

‘Haewon’ is a soybean cultivar for soy-sprouts. ‘Bosug’ and ‘Somyeong’ were crossed in 2003, and promising lines were selected from F3 to F6 using the pedigree method (Pedigree: HS1450-2B-3-1-1-2-2-1). Preliminary yield (PYT) and advanced yield trials (AYT) were conducted from 2010 to 2011, and regional yield trials (RYT) were conducted in five regions (Suwon, Naju, Miryang, Dalseong, and Jeju) from 2012 to 2014. In the RYTs, ‘Haewon’ had a smaller seed weight and higher yield than the standard cultivar ‘Pungsannamulkong’, which are desirable characteristics for the soy-sprout process. The morphological characteristics of ‘Haewon’ are as follows: determinate plant type, purple flowers, gray pubescence, yellow pods, small, yellow spherical seeds (8.1 g/100-seeds), and light brown hilum. The flowering and maturity dates were July 29th and October 6th, respectively. Plant height and first pod height were 55 cm and 12 cm, respectively. The lodging tolerance was also strong compared to that of ‘Pungsannamulkong’. The germination rate, total length, hypocotyl length, thickness, and sprout yield of soybean sprouts were 97%, 19.1 cm, 8.8 cm, 2.1 mm, and 513%, respectively. The yield in adaptable regions was 337 kg/10 a, 16% higher than that of ‘Pungsannamulkong’. ‘Haewon’ can be used for soy-sprout with favorable seed size and soy-sprout characteristics, such as germination and sprout-yield. Solubilization of microsomal △^5-3β-hydroxy steroid acyl transfearse(△^5-3β-OH-SAT) of rat brain and its reconstitution into liposomes were investigated. Among the detergents utilized for the solubilization, deoxycholic acid was superior to Tween 80 or Triton X-100 for the reconstituted activity of △^5-3β-OH-SAT. The enzyme activity was shown to be affected by the nature of phospholipids used for the preparation of the liposome. Phosphatidylcholines from egg yolk and soybean showed the highest activity of △^5-3β-OH-SAT and phosphatidytethanolamine came next. However phosphatidylserine and phosphatidic acid showed a lower activity than those obtained before the reconstitution. This study suggests that the presence of quaternary ammonium salt or amine group in the phospholipids stimulates the activity of △^5-3β-OH-SAT. However the presence of a carboxylic group or the absence of the amine group may have an inhibitory effect on the △^5-3β-OH SAT.
