Dong-Su Bae,Chi-Eun Sung1,Hyun-Ju Bang,Sang-Pill Lee,Jin-Kyung Lee,In-Soo Son,조영래,Un-Bong Baek,Seung-HoonNahm 대한금속·재료학회 2014 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.20 No.4
During the use of API X70 steel as a pipeline structural material for the transportation of natural gas, hydrogen embrittlement can occur due to the hydrogen contained in natural gas. The aim of this study is toinvestigate the effects of the hydrogen content under high-pressure hydrogen gas conditions on the hydrogenembrittlement of air-cooled API X70 steel. The air-cooled API X70 steel was manufactured by hot rollingand was then air-cooled to room temperature. Tensile test specimens were held for 0 h, 1000 h, and 2000 hwithin a pressure vessel filled with 100% hydrogen gas at a gas pressure of 10 MPa, with the tensile teststhen performed at room temperature. The microstructure of the API X70 steel consists of coarse polygonalferrite, coarse pearlite, and fine acicular ferrite. The yield and tensile strength increased and elongationdecreased considerably after a holding time of 2000 h compared to those of 0 h and 1000 h within the pressurevessel. The morphology of the fracture surface changed from ductile to brittle upon hydrogen gas charging. Secondary cracks were observed in both of the hydrogen-gas-charged specimens. No external cracks wereformed on the surface of the tensile-tested specimen with a 0 h holding time; however, many external crackswere observed on the specimen surface subjected to hydrogen gas charging.

Sung Mo Hur,Dong Hui Cho,Se Kyung Lee,Min-Young Choi,Soo Youn Bae,Min Young Koo,Sangmin Kim,Jun-Ho Choe,Jung-Han Kim,Jee Soo Kim,Seok-Jin Nam,Jung-Hyun Yang,Jeong Eon Lee 대한외과학회 2013 Annals of Surgical Treatment and Research(ASRT) Vol.85 No.1
Purpose: To present the author’s experience with various treatment methods of granulomatous lobular mastitis (GLM) and to determine effective treatment methods of GLM. Methods: Fifty patients who were diagnosed with GLM were classified into five groups based on the initial treatment methods they underwent, which included observation (n = 8), antibiotics (n = 3), steroid (n = 13), drainage (n = 14), and surgical excision (n = 12). The treatment processes in each group were examined and their clinical characteristics, treatment processes, and results were analyzed respectively. Results: Success rates with each initial treatment were observation, 87.5%; antibiotics, 33.3%; steroids, 30.8%; drainage, 28.6%; and surgical excision, 91.7%. In most cases of observation, the lesions were small and the symptoms were mild. A total of 23 patients underwent surgical excision during treatment. Surgical excision showed particularly fast recovery, high success rate (90.3%) and low recurrence rate (8.7%). Conclusion: The clinical course of GLM is complex and the outcome of each treatment type are variable. Surgery may play an important role when a lesion is determined to be mass-forming or appears localized as an abscess pocket during breast examination or imaging study.
Temperature Dependence of Photovoltage Spectra of a Zn0.9Cd0.1Se/ZnSe Single Quantum Well Structure.
Sang-Soo Choi,In-Ho Bae 한국물리학회 2005 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.46 No.4
The photovoltage (PV) spectra of Zn0.9Cd0.1Se/ZnSe single quantum well layers grown on semiinsulating(SI) GaAs substrate by using molecular beam epitaxy(MBE) have been measured. Theexciton transitions in the PV spectra were not clearly observed at room temperature (RT), but were more clearly observed with decreasing temperature. The extremely well-resolved excitonic binding energies and corresponding continuum edges allowed us to obtain directly the exciton binding energies and compare the spectra with excitonic transitions calculated by means of the envelope function method including strain. The temperature dependences of the heavy- and the light-hole transition energies were fitted by using Varshni’s model and O’ Donnell’s model.

Ethanolic tetra carbonylhydridoferrate solution combined with dialdehyde (no of carbon; 4,5,6) is very efficient for the selective transformation of amino group into N-heterocyclic compound. However, a large variety of both aliphatic and aromatic amines react with the ferrate-pimelaldehyde at room temperature under an atmospheric pressure of carbon monoxide to give the corresponding N-(cyclohexylmethyl)-N-alkyiamine derivatives in moderate yields instead of the corresponding N-substituted perhydroazocine derivatives.
Preparation and Luminescence Properties of PDPGreen Phosphors using Polymer Matrix Technique
Sang-Bae Jun,이동규,Soo-Jong Kim,Takaki Masaki,Chung-Hwa Han 한국전기전자재료학회 2007 Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Material Vol.8 No.3
The Zn2SiO4:Mn phosphors were prepared using polymer matrix technique in order to improve the performance of green emitting phosphors for plasma display panel(PDP). Zn2SiO4:Mn phosphor exhibits a strong green emission around 520-530 nm. The emission intensity and particle size of powders were controlled by sintering temperature and raw material composition. The zinc silicate Zn2SiO4:Mn single phase were obtained at lower temperature than prepared by solid-state reaction method. PL luminance of Zn2SiO4:Mn phosphor was similar to the commercial material.
Transcranial Doppler Monitoring in Subarachnoid Hemorrhage
Soo-Hyun Park,Tae Jung Kim,Sang-Bae Ko 대한신경초음파학회 2022 대한신경초음파학회지 (JNN) Vol.14 No.1
Cerebral vasospasm and delayed cerebral ischemia are common complications associated with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) outcomes. Various modalities can be used to evaluate and detect cerebral vasospasm after SAH. Transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasonography can be used as an appropriate bedside dynamic monitoring tool to screen for the presence and progression of cerebral vasospasm in patients with SAH. This article briefly reviewed the severity of SAH and pathophysiology of vasospasm. In addition, information regarding the use of TCD for monitoring cerebral vasospasm, several variables measured by TCD to monitor vasospasm detection, and differentiating vasospasm from physiological conditions in the clinical setting following SAH were presented in this article.

Fabric-based electronic textiles (e-textiles) are the fundamental components of wearable electronic systems, which can provide convenient hand-free access to computer and electronics applications. However, e-textile technologies presently face significant technical challenges. These challenges include difficulties of fabrication due to the delicate nature of the materials, and limited operating time, a consequence of the conventional normally on computing architecture, with volatile power-hungry electronic components, and modest battery storage. Here, we report a novel poly(ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) (pEGDMA)textile memristive nonvolatile logic-in-memory circuit, enabling normally off computing, that can overcome those challenges. To form the metal electrode and resistive switching layer, strands of cotton yarn were coated with aluminum (Al) using a solution dip coating method, and the pEGDMA was conformally applied using an initiated chemical vapor deposition process. The intersection of two Al/pEGDMA coated yarns becomes a unit memristor in the lattice structure. The pEGDMA-Textile Memristor (ETM), a form of crossbar array, was interwoven using a grid of Al/pEGDMA coated yarns and untreated yarns. The former were employed in the active memristor and the latter suppressed cell-to-cell disturbance. We experimentally demonstrated for the first time that the basic Boolean functions, including a half adder as well as NOT, NOR, OR, AND, and NAND logic gates, are successfully implemented with the ETM crossbar array on a fabric substrate. This research may represent a breakthrough development for practical wearable and smart fibertronics.
