Purpose: This study aimed to compare the level of satisfaction and academic achievement of nursing students' clinical practice achievement between field and online practice. Methods: In this descriptive research, we recruited junior and senior nursing students who experienced both field and online practice from nursing college in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, Korea. Data were collected using the online survey and analyzed via a t-test, ANOVA, and paired t-test using SPSS V 25.0. Results: There was no statistically significant difference in the satisfaction of practice between field and online practice types. However, academic achievement was higher in the field group than in the online group. Out of five points, the scores of field practice and online practice were 3.66 points and 3.39 points, respectively, which indicated that academic performance was higher in field practice than online practice (t=6.21, p<.001). Conclusion: Field practice has been shown to achieve higher academic performance than online practice. Hence, research is needed in order to develop suitable field practice models for the New Normal era in preparation for situations that practice is limited, such as COVID-19 and future outbreaks.

<P>Herein, we have identified that lithium ions in an SO<SUB>2</SUB>-based inorganic electrolyte reversibly intercalate and deintercalate into/out of graphite electrode using ex situ X-ray diffraction and various electrochemical methods. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy shows that the solid electrolyte interphase on the graphite electrode is mainly composed of inorganic compounds, such as LiCl and lithium sulfur-oxy compounds. Graphite electrode in SO<SUB>2</SUB>-based inorganic electrolyte has stable capacity retention up to 100 cycles and outstanding rate capability performance. This can be attributed to low interfacial impedance and high ionic conductivity of SO<SUB>2</SUB>-based inorganic electrolyte, which are superior to those of conventional organic electrolytes. Considering the remarkable rate capability and intrinsically nonflammable properties of the electrolyte, use of graphite and an SO<SUB>2</SUB> electrolyte will likely facilitate the development of advanced lithium-ion batteries.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

An extragastrointestinal stromal tumor (EGIST) is a gastrointestinal stromal tumor that arises outside of the gastrointestinal tract. Most EGISTs are located in the omentum, mesentery, and retroperitoneum. The occurrence of an EGIST at the perianal region is very rare. Herein, we report our experience with EGISTs in the perianal area and review the literature. A 70-year-old man presented to our hospital with a 2-year history of anal discomfort. A pelvic magnetic resonance imaging scan showed a homogenous, well-defined, soft tissue density mass. The patient underwent mass excision, and the pathological examination confirmed that the mass was an EGIST. The size of the tumor was 4.3×3.2 cm, and the mitotic count was 1 per 50 high-power fields. The tumor cells were immunohistochemically positive for KIT and CD34 but were negative for S-100 and alpha-smooth muscle actin. There were no other abnormal findings in the gastrointestinal tract; upon pathological review, this case was confirmed as perianal EGIST. Therefore, EGIST should be considered as a differential diagnosis of perianal masses.

<P>The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is a member of the erbB family of receptors and is overexpressed in many tumor types. A repebody is a newly designed nonantibody protein scaffold for tumor targeting that contains leucine-rich repeat modules. In this study, 3 <SUP>64</SUP>Cu-labeled anti-EGFR repebodies with different chelators were synthesized, and their biologic characteristics were assessed in cultured cells and tumor-bearing mice. <B>Methods:</B> Repebodies were synthesized with the chelators 2-(<I>p</I>-isothiocyanatobenzyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclononane-<I>N,N′,N,″-</I>triacetic acid trihydrochloride ([<I>p</I>-SCN-Bn]-NOTA), 2,2′,2″-(10-(2-(2,5-dioxopyrrolidin-1-yloxy)-2-oxoethyl)-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7-triyl) triacetic acid (DOTA-<I>N</I>-hydroxysuccinimide ester), or 1-(<I>p</I>-isothiocyanatobenzyl)diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid trihydrochloride ([<I>p</I>-SCN-Bn]-DTPA) in 1.0 M NaHCO<SUB>3</SUB> buffer (pH 9.2) for 24 h. Purified NOTA-, DOTA-, and DTPA-conjugated repebody were radiolabeled with <SUP>64</SUP>Cu in 0.1 M NH<SUB>4</SUB>OAc buffer (pH 5.5). To compare the EGFR-binding affinities of the repebodies, cellular uptake studies were performed with the human non–small cell lung cancer cell line H1650 (high expression of EGFR) and the human colon adenocarcinoma cell line SW620 (low expression of EGFR). Biodistribution and small-animal PET imaging studies were performed using H1650 tumor–bearing mice. <B>Results:</B> Radiochemical yields of the <SUP>64</SUP>Cu-labeled repebodies were approximately 70%–80%. Cellular uptake of the NOTA-, DOTA-, and DTPA-repebodies was over 4-fold higher in H1650 cells than in SW620 cells at 1 h. The 3 repebodies had accumulated specifically in H1650 tumor–bearing nude mice by 1 h after intravenous injection and were retained for over 24 h, as measured by the percentage injected dose per gram of tissue (%ID/g). Tumor uptake of all repebodies increased from 1 to 6 h (at 1 h, 6.28, 8.46, and 6.91 %ID/g for NOTA-, DOTA-, and DTPA-repebody, respectively; at 6 h, 9.4, 8.28, and 10.1 %ID/g, respectively). H1650 tumors were clearly visible after injection of each repebody, with high tumor-to-background ratios (at 1 h, 3.43, 4.89, and 2.38 for NOTA-, DOTA-, and DTPA-repebody, respectively; at 6 h, 3.05, 4.36, and 2.08; at 24 h, 3.81, 4.58, and 2.86). <B>Conclusion:</B> The 3 <SUP>64</SUP>Cu-repebody complexes demonstrated specific and rapid uptake in EGFR-expressing tumors within 1 h and may have potential as novel EGFR imaging agents for PET.</P>

<P>The combination of immunosuppressants and mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) is a promising therapeutic strategy for systemic lupus erythematosus, since this approach reduces doses of immunosuppressants while maintaining the same therapeutic outcome. However, it is unavoidable for MSCs to be exposed to immunosuppressants. Here, we examined the combination effect of prednisone (PD) or mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) and MSCs. We showed that PD or MMF in combination with MSCs showed better therapeutic effect than single therapy in lupus-prone MRL.<I>Fas</I><SUP>lpr</SUP> mice, as assessed by using the following readouts: prolongation of survival, decrease in anti-dsDNA and total IgG levels in serum, decrease in cytokine gene expression in spleen cells, and decrease in inflammatory cell infiltration into the kidney. <I>In vitro</I>, immunosuppressants and MSCs inhibited T cell proliferation in a synergistic manner. However, immunosuppressants did not affect MSC viability and functions such as TGF-<I>β</I>1 and PGE<SUB>2</SUB> production, migration, and immunosuppressive capacity. In summary, our study demonstrates that a combination of immunosuppressants and MSCs is a good strategy to reduce the side effects of PD and MMF without the loss of therapeutic outcome.</P>
Subjectivity 2.0 in Black Mirror: Participatory Media as a Myth

Black Mirror is a modern anthology series that presents a self-critique in the development of participatory media. Yet to have aired its final season, the series producers have announced a hiatus until further notice in light of the major socio-cultural shifts engendered by the epidemic in 2020. The series producer and director Charlie Brooker attests to the inception of the series being heavily influenced by The Twilight Zone, a critically and popularly acclaimed televised series. Black Mirror gives a digital spin on the concerns of media and its effects on society. The first episode to be drafted in the series, Fifteen Million Merits, articulates this myth of participation in modern digital media, explicating the mechanism that renders true participation obsolete and difficult to subvert. Identifying the space for subversion allows the viewers to think more comprehensibly about the ways that the media can be harnessed for true participation to take place. I propose that Fifteen Million Merits, as the inception of the entire series, presents the overarching theme of modern media participation as a myth. To do so, I will mainly apply Dean’s concept of communicative capitalism by referring to Jenkin’s Parcipatory Culture in a Networked Era. Jenkin’s text is particularly useful in distinguishing between participatory media and interactive media, an important distiction to be made.
Lily Bart’s Penchant for Honesty : The Dissolution of the Original Bourgeois Class

Many critics articulate and track Lily Bart’s failure as an inept capitalist and contextualize it within dialectical materialism. What they miss is the nature of internal class turmoil following the rise of the capitalist order that precipitates Lily Bart’s demise. I intend to address this lack by foregrounding the internal struggles of the American Bourgeois class. I propose that Lily Bart, according to Franco Moretti's characterizations, stands as an essence of “bourgeois legitimacy” which was based on the virtue of honesty before it evaporated upon capitalism’s introduction of a new “principle of legitimation”: finance capitalism. therefore, my central argument follows that Wharton, illuminates the internal class struggles of the bourgeois as a ruling class in capitalist society in portraying Lily Bart’s plunge from the world she aspires.
Automatic wall slant angle map generation using 3D point clouds

Recently, quantitative and repetitive inspections of the old urban area were conducted because many structures exceed their designed lifetime. The health of a building can be validated from the condition of the outer wall, while the slant angle of the wall widely serves as an indicator of urban regeneration projects. Mostly, the inspector directly measures the inclination of the wall or partially uses 3D point measurements using a static light detection and ranging (LiDAR). These approaches are costly, time-consuming, and only limited space can be measured. Therefore, we propose a mobile mapping system and automatic slant map generation algorithm, configured to capture urban environments online. Additionally, we use the LiDAR-inertial mapping algorithm to construct raw point clouds with gravity information. The proposed method extracts walls from raw point clouds and measures the slant angle of walls accurately. The generated slant angle map is evaluated in indoor and outdoor environments, and the accuracy is compared with real tiltmeter measurements.
