Secure Authentication Approach Based New Mobility Management Schemes for Mobile Communication

Mobile phones are the most common communication devices in history. For this reason, the number of mobile subscribers will increase dramatically in the future. Therefore, the determining the location of a mobile station will become more and more difficult. The mobile station must be authenticated to inform the network of its current location even when the user switches it on or when its location is changed. The most basic weakness in the GSM authentication protocol is the unilateral authentication process where the customer is verified by the system, yet the system is not confirmed by the customer. This creates numerous security issues, including powerlessness against man-in-the-middle attacks, vast bandwidth consumption between VLR and HLR, storage space overhead in VLR, and computation costs in VLR and HLR. In this paper, we propose a secure authentication mechanism based new mobility management method to improve the location management in the GSM network, which suffers from a lot off drawbacks, such as transmission cost and database overload. Numerical analysis is done for both conventional and modified versions and compared together. The numerical results show that our protocol scheme is more secure and that it reduces mobility management costs the most in the GSM network.

This study evaluates the potential effects of pumpkin seeds protein on blood pressure (BP), plasma adiponectin, leptin levels, and oxidative stress in rats with fructose-induced metabolic syndrome. Twenty four male Wistar albino rats were divided into four groups and fed a 20% casein diet, 20% casein diet supplemented with pumpkin protein, 20% casein diet with 64% D-fructose, or 20% casein diet with pumpkin protein and 64% D-fructose for 8 weeks. Continuous fructose feeding induced an increase in plasma insulin/glucose ratio, BP, insulin and glucose, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), creatinine, urea, and uric acid levels, and a decrease in the liver and muscle glycogen stores. In addition, elevated levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), and leptin and lowered adiponectin levels were observed in rats fed a fructose-enriched diet. These groups also exhibited lower plasma levels of ascorbic acid and glutathione, higher thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances, hydroperoxide, carbonyl, and nitric oxide in both the liver and kidneys than rats fed the control diet. Interestingly, pumpkin seed protein treatment significantly counteracted alterations induced by fructose improving glucose, insulin, BP, TG, TC, ALT, and ALP levels, increasing liver and muscle glycogen stores, adiponectin level, and adiponectin/leptin ratio, and reducing plasma leptin levels. In addition, rats fed pumpkin protein with a high-fructose diet improved oxidative stress in the liver and kidneys. In conclusion, proteins from Cucurbita pepo L. seeds effectively improve metabolic parameters and protect against oxidative stress induced by a high-fructose diet.

The forced convection heat transfer for non-Newtonian viscoelastic fluids obeying the FENE-P model in a parallel-plate channel with transverse rectangular cavities is carried out numerically using ANSYS-POLYFLOW code. The flow investigated is assumed to be two-dimensional, incompressible, laminar and steady. The flow behavior and temperature distribution influenced by the re-circulation caused by the variation of cross-section area along the stream wise direction have been studied. The constant heat flux condition has been applied and the effects of the different parameters, such as the aspect ratio of channel cavities (AR = 0.25, 0.5), the Reynolds number (Re = 25, 250, and 500), the fluid elasticity defined by the Weissenberg number (We), and the extensibility parameter of the model (L2), on heat transfer characteristics have been explored for channels of three successive cavities configuration. Different levels of heat transfer enhancement were obtained and discussed.
FREE-SURFACE PROFILE OF A JET FLOW IN U-SHAPED CHANNEL WITHOUT GRAVITY EFFECTS

This paper concern with the two dimensional, steady jet flow problem of inviscid and incompressible fluid in semi infinite channel of the form U. This problem is solved by applying two methods. One is explicitly and analytically utilize the hodograph-transformation. The other is numerically using the series truncation method. The obtained results showed a good agreement between them and the comparison of these surface chapes is illustrated.
Finite element analysis of corner cracked aluminum panels repaired with bonded composite patch

In this study, the three-dimensional finite element method is used to analyze the behavior of corner cracks in finitethickness plates repaired with a composite patch. The normalized stress intensity factor at the crack front is used as fracture criterion. Comparison of stress intensity factor values at the internal and external positions of repaired quarter-elliptical corner crack was done, for three repair techniques. The influence of mechanical and geometrical properties of the adhesive layer and the composite patch on the variation of the stress intensity factor (SIF) at the crack-front was highlighted. The obtained results show that the application of double patch leads to a remarkable reduction of SIF at the crack front, compared to facial and lateral repairs.

This paper presents an approach for using right-truncated exponentially distributed random variables to model activity times in stochastic activity networks. The advantages of using the right-truncated exponential distribution are discussed. The moments of a project completion time using the proposed distribution are derived and compared with other estimated moments in literature.

WE describe a new, convenient and high yielding procedure for the preparation of diethyl α-aminophosphonates in water by one-pot reaction of aromatic aldehydes, aminophenols and dialkyl phosphites in the presence of a low catalytic amount (10mol%) of citric, malic, tartaric, and oxalic acids as a naturel, recyclable and highly stable catalyst.

Purification of phospholipids (PL) from the Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba) using a two-step extraction process has been investigated. Using supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) extraction with optimal extractions conditions of 45 oC, 25MPa, and CO2 flow rate of 22 g/min, most of the neutral lipids were extracted. PC, PE and PI were then extracted in a second step conducted with modified existing method using ethanol, hexane and acetone as solvents. The major PL of krill residues was quantified by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC-ELSD). The fatty acid compositions of total PL, PC, PE and PI were analyzed by gas chromatography (GC). A significant amount of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) was present in both total and PLs fractions. The purified PLs were characterized by their acid value, peroxide value, and the oxidative stability. The purity of PL ranged between 93 and 97% and was evaluated by spectrophotometry.

This work concerns the characterization of the thermodynamic behavior of the superalloy Airsist 215 (PN 3601669-7) containing cobalt. Such superalloys are used in aeronautical construction, in the hot parts of the turbine. They are frequently used for the production of the paddles. The parts in service are subjected to dynamic solicitations and thermal fluctuations over the course of time. They are responsible for modification and degradation of material properties. This can lead to the appearance of cracks and, in the long term, to the rupture of these parts. In this paper, a preliminary physical study is made on the appearance of the cracks, followed by experiments using shocks at ambient temperature and under a heating situation which simulates combustion. It is found that these dynamic loads have a significant impact on the development of the cracks that appear on the segments of the turbine nozzle. The study is devoted to the elastic shock of Hertz-Boussinesq extended to viscoelastic bodies by direct convolution of Riemann-Stielges. The interest resides in the local convolution and the distribution of stresses in the contact zone. The shock excitation method includes a deduced force in the load and disload phases. This force is an impulse which approaches a Dirac function. The sample can be modeled approximately by a system of one degree of freedom for natural frequency, damping and transfer function. The spectral response of the specified shock allows calculation of the damping. Every point of this spectrum gives the response for the linear system of the transfer function. Then, viscoelastic shock parameters are deduced.
