Tyrosine kinase inhibitors are associated with various adverse cutaneous reactions including pigmentary change. Radotinib is a novel and selective BCR-ABL1 tyrosine kinase inhibitor which has shown activity and safety in the treatment of imatinib-resistant or -intolerant chronic myeloid leukemia. A 69-year-old Korean man presented with lentiginosis after taking radotinib for 6 months. On histopathologic examination, the numbers of melanocytes and melanin pigment were increased due to c-KIT activation, consequently up-regulating MITF. It is discordant with mechanisms of previously reported tyrosine kinase inhibitors inhibiting c-KIT.

Reductive transformations of gem-bromonitro compounds and ${\alpha}$-nitro ketones were carried out conveniently with sodium dithionite by using dioctyl viologen as an electron-transfer catalyst in dichloromethane-water two-phase system:the bromine atom in gem-bromonitro compounds and the nitro group in ${\alpha}$-nitro ketones are replaced by hydrogen.

PSP를 이용한 의자로봇 시스템은 거동이 불편한 노약자의 이동을 돕기 위하여 제작된 지능형 이동로봇이다. 원하는 곳으로 이동이 가능한 지능형 로봇은 안정적인 움직임을 위해 실시간 장애물 회피 및 적절한 경로 계획이 필요하다. 본 논문에서 구현한 의자로봇은 IR센서와 초음파 센서를 이용하여 환경 정보를 얻어오고, 환경 지도 작성 및 경로 계획을 통해 목표 지점으로 이동하도록 하였다. 또 구동부의 부드러운 움직임을 위하여 PID제어기를 사용하였다. 서비스 로봇은 개발에 용이하고 사용자가 쉽게 제어 할 수 있는 인터페이스 장치가 필요하다. PSP는 여러 개의 버튼을 가졌고, 디스플레이를 위한 LCD 있다. 또 무선랜 환경에서 사용할 수 있기 때문에 PSP를 이용한 제어 방법을 구현하였다. PSP를 이용한 제어 방법에는 두 가지 모드가 존재하는데 하나는 의자 로봇의 지능을 이용한 이동 방법이고 또 하나는 사용자가 직접 제어하는 방법이다. 위의 두 가지 방법으로 실내 환경에서 주행 테스트를 했으며, 성공적으로 동작함을 확인하였다.

Purpose: The Trastuzumab for gastric cancer (GC) trial identified human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) as a predictor of successful treatment with trastuzumab (HER2 receptor targeting agent) among patients with advanced/metastatic GC. To date, the prevalence of HER2 overexpression in the Korean population is unknown. The present study aimed to assess the incidence of HER2 positivity among GC and gastroesophageal (GE) junction cancer samples and the relationship between HER2 overexpression and clinicopathological characteristics in Korean patients. Materials and Methods: Tumor samples collected from 1,695 patients with histologically proven GC or GE junction enrolled at 14 different hospitals in Korea were examined. After gathering clinicopathological data of all patients, HER2 status was assessed by immunohistochemistry (IHC) at each hospital, and IHC 2+ cases were subjected to silver-enhanced in situ hybridization at 3 central laboratories. Results: A total of 182 specimens tested positive for HER2, whereas 1,505 tested negative. Therefore, the overall HER2-positive rate in this study was 10.8% (95% confidence interval=9.3%-12.3%). The HER2-positive rate was higher among intestinal-type cases (17.6%) than among other types, and was higher among patients older than 70 years and 50 years of age, compared to other age groups. Conclusions: Our evaluation of the HER2 positivity rate (10.8%) among Korean patients with GC and GE junction indicated the necessity of epidemiological data when conducting studies related to HER2 expression in GC and GE junction.

Multi-Layer SnSe Nanoflake Field-Effect Transistors with Low-Resistance Au Ohmic Contacts

<P>We report p-type tin monoselenide (SnSe) single crystals, grown in double-sealed quartz ampoules using a modified Bridgman technique at 920 °C. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) measurements clearly confirm that the grown SnSe consists of single-crystal SnSe. Electrical transport of multi-layer SnSe nanoflakes, which were prepared by exfoliation from bulk single crystals, was conducted using back-gated field-effect transistor (FET) structures with Au and Ti contacts on SiO<SUB>2</SUB>/Si substrates, revealing that multi-layer SnSe nanoflakes exhibit p-type semiconductor characteristics owing to the Sn vacancies on the surfaces of SnSe nanoflakes. In addition, a strong carrier screening effect was observed in 70−90-nm-thick SnSe nanoflake FETs. Furthermore, the effect of the metal contacts to multi-layer SnSe nanoflake-based FETs is also discussed with two different metals, such as Ti/Au and Au contacts.</P>

현재 아파트를 중심으로 가정에 보급되기 시작한 홈 네트워크 시스템은 단순 홈 서버를 기반으로 가정 내 다양한 기기들을 연결하고 외부 인터넷 망과 연동하는 등 여러 가지 시도가 있으나 아직까지 단편적인 서비스를 제공하는 수준에서 크게 벗어나지 못하고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 현 홈 네트워크 시장 상황에서 다양하고 실질적인 응용을 실제로 구현하고 사용자와 상호작용하기 위해 인공지능을 갖춘 서비스 로봇을 활용함으로써 홈 네트워크 시장을 활성화하기 위한 방안을 제시한다.
Wearable Sensor-Based Biometric Gait Classification Algorithm Using WEKA

Gait-based classification has gained much interest as a possible authentication method because it incorporate an intrinsic personal signature that is difficult to mimic. The study investigates machine learning techniques to mitigate the natural variations in gait among different subjects. We incorporated several machine learning algorithms into this study using the data mining package called Waikato Environment for Knowledge Analysis (WEKA). WEKA's convenient interface enabled us to apply various sets of machine learning algorithms to understand whether each algorithm can capture certain distinctive gait features. First, we defined 24 gait features by analyzing three-axis acceleration data, and then selectively used them for distinguishing subjects 10 years of age or younger from those aged 20 to 40. We also applied a machine learning voting scheme to improve the accuracy of the classification. The classification accuracy of the proposed system was about 81% on average.
