      • ER-Valve 작동기를 이용한 Two link Robot의 위치제어

        This paper presents performance analysis of two-linked robot system using ER (electro rheological) valve actuators. An ER fluid consisting of soluble chemical starches (particles) and silicone oil is made and its field-dependent yield stress is experimentally distilled using electro-viscometer. From this result, the design parameters of ER valve are determined. Based on parameter study, an ER valve system is designed and manufactured. Furthermore, the measured pressure drop is compared with predicted one obtained from the Bingham model. Following the evaluation of field-dependent pressure drop of ER valve, a two-linked robot system with two ER valve actuators is then constructed and its governing equation of motion is derived. From this equation, ND controller is established. Consequently, control performances of the proposed two-linked robot system featuring ER valve are evaluated.

        The environment of the earth has been changed worse by human activities. There are lots of waterborne diseases which are caused by bacteria, virus, and protozoan. Microorganisms pose a serious threat to the safety of the world's drinking water. At least 25 millon people in the world die because of the waterborne diseases. The major symptoms are diarriah, vomite, stomach pain, and headache. Some diseases kill patients who are especially immuno compromised such as cholera, typhoid, etc. Many cases of this kind of diseases are the important issue throughout the world. Therefore international academic conferences are holding frequently. One of the recommentation was announced in Guayaquil, Ecuador in 1995, which is related with control of waterborne diseases. We know that water pollution by E.coli indicate fecal contamination in water system. We are drinking about 2 liters of drinking water every day. There are several kinds of drinkind water, e.g., tap water, bottled water, purifier passed water, groundwater, etc. The city tap water is most widely using drinking water source. But owing to the corrosion of water supplying pipe lines and storage tank contamination in buildings, the tap water quality has some problems of bacteria and other contaminants. Throughout the world, water purifiers are using in many countries, but there are few reports on bacteria behavior in water purifiers. Authors studied the bacteria reduction and removal effects through activated carbon and UV lamp in water purifier, and got some interesting results.

        스포츠문화:훔쳐야 사는 사회

        Sport Culture : Steal to Living Yi, Ho-Kun(Korea University) Sport is the ideology. In a sense, this argument is like to say draw'a round square'. It can be a very dangerous idea that has a contradiction to logic because, traditionally, sport is considered as a physical activity and ideology is bounded on the spiritual. However, understanding the close relationship between sport and culture, it is not challenged idea that sport can be decoded the ideology-sport culture:steal to living-as a counter culture. Thus, I focus on the argument that a thorough and reflective study of 20 century sport culture is a necessary to prepare a possible 21 century sport through the analysis and synthesis of sport culture based on the understanding of culture. 국문초록스포츠는 관념이다. 어떤 의미에서 이 말은 마치 ‘둥근 삼각형’을 그려보라는 것처럼 들린다. 전통적으로 스포츠란 신체적 영역의 것으로, 관념이란 정신적 영역의 것으로 간주되었기에 논리적으로 모순되는 위험한 발상일지도 모른다. 그러나 스포츠와 문화의 긴밀한 연관성을 이해할 때 스포츠도 관념일 수 있다는 이 반문화적 해석-스포츠 문화:훔쳐야 사는 사회-은 더 이상 도전적 발상은 아니다. 따라서, 필자는 문화의 이해를 통한 스포츠 문화의 분석과 종합, 20세기 스포츠 문화의 철저한 반성적 연구는 21세기 가능한 준비의 일환으로 필연적이다란 사실에 주목한다.

      • 불순물 치환을 통한 Ru$Sr_2$EuCe$Cu_2$$O_z$ 계의 강자성 천이온도의 조절특성

        We investigated the effects of impurity doping on the electrical transport and magnetic properties of $(Ru, Sn)(Sr, La)<_2$$EuCeCu_2$$O_{z}$ samples. We found that Sn substitution fur Ru causes a significant decrease of the volume fraction of ferromagnetic phase, as well as a decrease of the temperature where the ferromagnetic component is observed. La substitution for Sr leads to an increase of the magnetic ordering temperature with a moderate change of ferromagnetic component. The experimental results are discussed in conjunction with the structural data, transport properties and a possible change of oxygen content.

        $(Ru_{0.8}Nb_{0.2})Sr_2(Gd_{1.5-x}Nd_xCe_{0.5})Cu_2O_z$ 계의 합성 및 초전도 특성

        Polycrystalline samples of $(Ru_{0.8}Nb_{0.2})Sr_2(Gd_{1.5-x}Nd_xCe_{0.5})Cu_2O_z$($ 0{\leq}x{\leq}1.25$) have been synthesized by a solid-state reaction route. The X-ray diffraction data revealed that the Nd solubility limit can be placed between x=0.5 and x=0.75. The superconducting transition temperature decreased with increasing Nd content, confirming that Nd entered the lattice. Room-temperature thermoelectric power measurements showed that all the samples are in the underdoped state and the partial substitution of Nd for Gd resulted in a decrease in the carrier density on the superconducting layers.

        Cr 치환에 따른 (Tl$_{0.5}$Pb$_{0.5-x}$Cr$_x$)Sr$_2$Cu$_1$O$_{5+z}$ 계의 구조 및 초전도특성

        Samples with a nominal composition (Tl$_{0.5}$Pb$_{0.5-x}$Cr$_x$)Sr$_2$CuO$_{5+z}$ with $x$ = 0, 0.25 and 0.5 were prepared by using a two-step solid-state reaction method and were studied by using powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), resistivity, and room-temperature thermoelectric power measurements. The XRD data revealed that all reported samples contained an almost single 1212 phase, although the phase purity of the samples degraded slightly as the Cr content was increased. The samples crystallized in a tetragonal unit cell, and the lattice parameter $a$ increased with increasing $x$ whereas the lattice parameter $c$ decreased. The resistivity data showed that Cr substitution caused an increase in the superconducting transition temperature of the sample. Using the thermoelectric power as a guide, we found that Cr substitution, rather than Pb substitution, at Tl sites was more effective in decreasing the hole concentration of the sample. (Tl$_{0.5}$Pb$_{0.5-x}$Cr$_x$)Sr$_2$CuO$_{5+z}$ ($x$ = 0, 0.25, 0.5) 시편을 이 단계 고상반응법으로 합성한 후 그 특성을 X-선회절(XRD), 비저항 및 상온 열기전력 측정을 통해 연구했다. XRD 데이터의 분석 결과는 제시된 시편 모두 거의 단일상의 1212 상으로 구성되었으나 Cr 치환량이 증가될수록 그 순도는 약간 떨어짐이 관측되었다. 시편들은 정방구조를 보였으며, Cr 치환량이 증가될 때 $a$ 격자상수는 증가하는 반면 $c$ 격자상수는 감소했다. 비저항 측정 결과는 Cr 치환량이 증가되면 전이온도가 증가됨을 보여주었다. 상온 열기전력 데이터의 결과는 Tl 자리에 Cr이 치환되면 같은 양의 Pb를 치환한 경우와 비교하여 음의 절대값이 감소했다. 이 결과는 홀 농도의 감소를의미하며, 따라서 Cr 치환은 Pb 치환에 비해 홀 농도의 감소를 크게 유발함을 관측했다.
