      • 환경친화적 도시개발을 위한 제도정비 방안

        최근의 환경보건에 대한 국내외적 관심과 노력은 환경을 더 이상 일방적으로 활용하는 대상물이 아니라 환경보건과 인간 삶의 질이 동등한 위치에서 진행되어야 함을 의미하고 있다. 이것은 사회, 경제, 문화, 산업 등 모든 분야에서 환경보건에 대한 새로운 패러다임의 전개를 의미한다. 환경보전에 대한 새로운 패러다임의 전개는 기존도시, 개발을 계획하거나 진행중인 도시 모두에 공통적으로 적용된다. 기존 개발도시는 환경보전을 위한 새로운 도시개발 전략 수립을 서두르고 있으며 개발이 낙후된 도시의 경우 앞으로의 개발과정에서 환경보전이라는 명제를 반영하는 계획이 요구된다. 이와 같은 도시개발과 환경보전이라는 두 가지 명제의 적절한 조화를 위해서는 개발 초기단계에서 계획수립, 실행 과정에서 적절한 제도적 장치가 요구 된다. 제도적 장치는 무분별한 개발을 막고 일방적인 환경보건보다는 개발과의 적절한 개발을 유도하는 도구로서 활용될 것이다. 본 논문에서는 안동시를 대상으로 하여 환경을 보전하면서 활용하는 도시 개발들 위해 요구되는 제도적 방치 및 방안을 마련하고자 한다. 이를 위해 일본, 독일의 관련제도를 상호 비교ㆍ분석하여 국내 실정에 적합한 제도를 제시 하고자 한다. 다른 한편으로 환경친화적 도시개발들 위한 도시환경계획을 제안하고 이에 포함되는 구체적 내용을 제시하였다.

        Superdiversity as an ELF Phenomenon within Multilingualism

Diversity is one of today's sociocultural and linguistic features in English as a lingua franca (ELF). The growing mobility and language contact have accelerated and intensified the level of diversity, which is called superdiversity. Superdiversity has led to a higher degree of unpredictability and uncertainty in the new social environments. ELF is superdiverse in terms of not only speakers' different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, linguistic repertoires, language attitude and identity but also domains of use and contexts of communication. By reviewing the notion of superdiversty as a growing sociolinguistic phenomenon and a range of multilingual strategies such as languaging, code-switching, and translanguaging, this study will explore the nature of ELF as a multilingual phenomenon and the relationship between superdiversity and ELF within multilingualism. It is expected to provide the insight into the nature of communication and the understanding of language in itself, in which the transformation from monolingualism to multilingualism has occurred and the notion of language is no longer viewed as a fixed, bounded and uniform entity. The study will also provide some pedagogical implications for ELT, drawing on the notion of multi-competence.         Understanding Culture and Intercultural Awareness in Intercultural Communication through ELF

        It is commonly accepted that culture and language are closely intertwined each other. However, the cultural dimension to language has still stayed as a national concept, and the interrelation between the English language and a specific culture based on a particular native speaker variety has been criticized as a problem. This study will revisit the conceptualization of culture and the relationship between culture and language and examine some theoretical concepts such as third place, transcultural flows, critical cultural awareness, and intercultural awareness. This paper argues that the relationship between culture and language in ELF is in a constant tension between individual, local, regional and global contexts, and the concept of culture needs to be approached in a more complex and flexible manner between ‘fluidity’ and ‘fixity'. Therefore, the nature of culture in ELF, where communication takes place in multilingual and multicultural contexts, is more emergent, situated and dynamic. This would propose that ELF speakers need to develop intercultural awareness and negotiation and mediation skills to effectively manage the diversity and complexity in intercultural communication.

        Vitamin contents and antioxidant characteristics of red and gold kimchi cabbages (Brassica rapa. L. ssp. pekinensis)

        Kimchi cabbage is widely consumed in Korea, with the popularity of this pickled vegetable dish growing internationally due to its health benefits. In this study, the physical (size, color), functional (antioxidant activity, total polyphenol, and flavonoid content), and nutritional (water- and fat-soluble vitamins) characteristics of two new kimchi cabbage varieties, namely red and gold kimchi cabbages (RKC and GKC, respectively), were analyzed and compared with those of the common kimchi cabbage (CKC). There were no significant differences in the thickness or length of the three kimchi cabbages, although RKC had the narrowest outer leaves among the three varieties (11.94 cm). Regarding chromaticity, yellowness was highest in GKC (29.86), whereas redness was highest in RKC (9.31). Furthermore, RKC had the highest recorded vitamin B6 and B9 (1,288.5 μg/100 g and 776.7 μg dietary folate equivalent/100 g, respectively). On the other hand, the fat-soluble vitamins vitamin A (β-carotene) and K (Phylloquinone) were both highest in GKC (907.1 μg/100 g and 712.2 μg/100 g, respectively). Generally, all kimchi cabbage samples contained high levels of vitamin E (1.8-4.9 mg α-tocopherol equivalent/100 g). RKC attained the highest antioxidant activity and total polyphenol and total flavonoid contents among the three kimchi cabbages. These results show that gold and red kimchi cabbage can be used as raw materials in the food-processing industry.

        공동주택 관리비용에 따른 적정공간규모 산정에 관한 연구 -경유, 등유를 사용하는 중앙집중난방방식을 중심으로 -

        The multifamily housing has various advantages in construction cost, land-use intensity. KRIHS(1997) recommended the proper scale of th multifamily housing as 800 households in constructability, 1,000 households in facility compactability, 500 households in social aspect. At the early planning stage of project, the size of the multiftmily housing has, until now, been maximizingly considered under the regulation on which has been emphasized at the building volume ratio, land area, etc., except for the expenditure during the maintenance stage. This paper aimed at providing the proper size of multifamily housing in aspect of area and household number with maintenance cost at the early stage of project. For these, it took 곧 average cost function which is made from the 3-rd quardratic form and analyzes the unit increasing rate of the average cost. It surveyed in nationwide focused on the central heating system using diesel and kerosene. The number of samples is 88 and items of management cost is 11. The results are as follows ; first, 3rd-order quadratic function is proper at explaining the cost variation, considering the multicollinearity and statistics. Second, the proper size of multifamily housing is recommended with 83,000 $m^2$ on management area, 820 or over the 2,630 household number in aspect of total management cost.

        공동주택의 신축공사와 리모델링 공사에 공종별 에너지 소비량 및 환경영향 비교 연구

        Recently, the environmental conservation has been emphasized over the world. Building industry should carefully reflected the development focused on the economic aspect as well as the environmental considerations. Therefore, it requires the technology development to mitigate the environmental pollution through the reducement of the energy and resources usage amount over the building life cycle. For these, it should be required to set up the analysis methodology to grasp the amount of the environmental pollution and energy and resources in each step of building life cycle. In this paper, it aimed at preparing the analysis process and analyzing the embodied energy and $CO_2$ and $SO_x$ emission according to the building work, field work, mechanical and electrical work on the new building and remodelling, utilizing the inventory analysis which is one of the LCA process.
